(Celiac diner here) Gluten-free protocol is EXCELLENT: manager checks on the meal, plates are literally FLAGGED so you know you have a gluten-free dish, they use a gluten-free dedicated fryer, and the French fries are AWESOME! Goat cheese omelet! Burger without the bun is soooo delicious (with garlic aioli), I didn’t miss the bun. Great brunch Saturday and Sunday with awesome brunch cocktails (included with some entrees). We ate here every day because it is reassuring to see their diligence.
the wait staff was very knowledgeable about allergies and accompanying! our food was amazing! 10/10!

Got a gluten free pasta dish here and shared the honey crisp apple salad too! The waiter made sure to talk to the chef and flagged the meal for gluten free without cross contamination. They even placed a red allergy flag on my pasta and when the server came with it they called it “gluten free rigatoni alla vodka” which was so nice not to ask to do one last double check that it was safe! The place was busy, so I was glad we had a reservation. The food tasted great, but definitely a heavier meal!

The jalapeño cheese grits are amazing.
The gluten free pasta is good. I asked for more cheese for flavor.
The waitress was very very knowledge about the menu and gluten free items.
No to fries (😒) how can you make fries gluten based when all you doing is frying potatoes lol
You do need to ask about more gluten free options outside of the pasta which is marked

I would not go back again. First the seat was very dirty. The staff cleaned up the crumbs but turns out my daughter stained her white pants as there was also ketchup smeared all down the booth’s side walls. The place was extremely loud and conversations were hard. But most significant, first server had no idea about gluten and the manager couldn’t answer questions. That put little faith into the 2nd server assigned to us and to the kitchens safety. Finally, none of us cared for the dishes we ended up ordering.

Great service and great food! Only GF substitute noted on the menu is the pasta but waiter was very knowledgeable and confirmed everything that we asked about with the chef. After we ordered, manager came over to confirm order and let us know GF meal would be marked with a red flag. Our daughter is super sensitive and we did not have any issues!

Good food. Said we were celiac and staff was serious and made sure to avoid cross contamination. Even flagged it with an allergy marker.

The waiter was super knowledgeable about what on the menu was gluten free and made sure to check with the chef on one dish he was uncertain about. Food came out with red flags indicating the dishes were gluten free which is always reassuring. Had the spaghetti bolognese (with gluten free penne), mashed potatoes and coffee ice cream for dessert. All was very good and no reactions!

We got a reservation the same day. We did have to wait for about 15 mins even with reservations. It was really busy and a bit loud. The vibe was very energetic. The waiter - Carlos promptly took our order and checked in on us several times. The food was great and they did have gluten free options if you ask. They marked it with red flags to note the allergy.

Many options on the menu can be accommodated for GF. Additionally, the waitress could very clearly state to me what was GF and how things would be adjusted and that they were not at risk for cross contamination. Just make sure to say you are GF and they are exceptionally good at accomodating for allergies!

While options were a bit limited, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and my food was clearly prepared specially with a GF flag to mark it, and my waiter bringing it out separately. The food was delicious, the drinks were amazing, and the location is adorable!

The staff was nice and knowledgeable. They put a red flag in my food to ensure the kitchen knew about my dietary needs. I had the kale salad and will go back again! It’s delicious. They have a nice drink selection, too.
Yes
super knowledgeable, but not many options. there isn’t actually any gluten free bread, pasta, or dessert.
Food was AMAZING! No gluten free menu but waiter was very knowledgeable on what was gluten free and helped me through the menu. No cross-contamination and Good for people with celiac!
The waitress was knowledgeable about celiac. The gluten free meal (gf pasta dish boiled in separate water) came out with a red flag as proof that the chef was aware of celiac and took precautions. They also recommended a safe dessert, homemade blackberry sorbet. All the food was delicious.

I was recently dx with celiac / less than a year ago at age 40. I have been vary cautious due to serious sensitivity - I have not dined out at restaurants with gluten since dx and have an entirely gf house bc of how sensitive I am / determined to heal .
I went to the smith bc there are multiple locations in NYC that have always been great with my nut allergy (I carry an epipen). Despite being nervous I had a great meal and no cc response hooray. Eric the manager was lovely and kind when checking in . Enjoy some good eats at the smith
