This place (San Diego location) is a great find. They have good varied breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus and they are reasonably priced for what you get. Many different baked goods are available as well. We had a bacon, egg, tomato panini for breakfast and Mac & cheese for lunch. You would now they were gluten free by taste. I will definitely be back next time I am in the area. My only complaint is that they are only open until 6pm Tuesday - Thursday.
Stopped here for lunch today after eating dinner at the San Diego location on Saturday. I had the turkey meatball sandwich with side salad. The meatballs were delicious and I loved the strawberry-poppy seed dressing. My wife had the turkey pannini which she loved including the bread! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.
I am NCGS (so far but hoping my kaiser docs will get their head outta their butts long enough to care). I haven't tried a meal at 2good2b but have been a few times for treats. sooooooo good! What I love best is how knowledgable they are about not just gluten but other ingredients that can cause issues. I learned so much just sitting there watching the slideshow. This place rocks!
For you: The bakery seemed legit full of GF items and happy take out customers. For Management: Your service was atrocious the people behind the counter had zero customer service. The other GF food options were bland there are things like herbs that are full of flavor and on top of that just for bacon eggs n toast it was pricey. What the heck happy bad birthday to me.
I have found heaven for gluten free people who love baked goods! Scones, muffins and breads were all wonderful. The staff was incredibly knowledgable and eager to help. I highly recommend! PS. They are also soy and high fructose corn syrup free.
Best gluten free EVER! My heart was broken because they were closed on Monday so I only got to eat here once. Fantastic food, great service, best meal I've had since being diagnosed with celiac.
The food, staff and ambiance are all amazing. A must try if you have Celiac Disease. My husband and son do not have CD and they also really enjoyed the food. The salted caramel cupcake and baguettes were delicious and we could not tell they were GF. Other items we tried and liked are: the chicken pesto sandwich, grilled cheese, meatball sandwich, club sandwich. Wish they could open a store near me!!
Oh my! Delicious food, awesome staff, pristine facility!
cinnamon rolls are the best! loved everything I ordered :)
We drove hours to find this cafe and we can definitely say that it was well worth the trip. The food was delicious and the staff was fantastic! Absolutely amazing!!! This is a heaven for celiacs!!! :)
I really wanted to love this place. While vacationing in San Diego, we sought this restaurant out and tried both locations. We are Paleo (not "gluten-free"), but like to have an occasional treat. My 2 year and I both have Celiac disease. We ordered baked good from both places and honestly they were terrible. It makes me sad that they were so bad:(
I wanted to love this place. Cupcakes were amazing, sandwiches/breads a bit dry and bland (poorly seasoned pesto, bread, and salad dressing), and people friendly. I will visit again for sweets but not anything else.
the most amazing food + 100% GF restaurant! a dream come true. my non-GF hubby really enjoyed the sandwich he ordered and my chicken salad tartine, side salad and brownie were divine! highly recommend this place and would drive the 5+ hours from AZ to go there again!
Great place for a Gluten Free dining. Good muffins, good bread, eggs and bacon. Everything we had was good. My Son, whom I went Gluten Free to support, loved the idea that an entire business was gluten free for people like him.
Baked goods were fabulous! Cupcakes to die for in many flavors. For lunch we ordered lasagna & chicken pot pie. Both were like store bought frozen meals they tossed into the oven. Lasagna was cold in the middle still.
absolutely delicious!!!! everything had great flavor! there was nothing sold there that contained any gluten. the french toast is a great option to get!
So freaking good!! As soon as we landed in SD we ate here. It was such a cool experience to be able to order anything on the menu!! My husband got the omlet and toast and the bread was so warm and soft and wonderful. We got a chocolate cupcake too. So good!! Wish I could have eaten it again before I left!!
I cannot recommend this highly enough. Entirely gluten-free with a variety of options including panini, lasagna, and french toast. Also incredible service. Can't wait to come back!
Best variety in a gluten free bakery
Wonderful! Can't beat an all GF place, with good food.
So good! Make sure to get the cinnamon rolls!!
The food is awesome, I just went at a bad time. My to-go sandwich took more than 20 minutes. Will call in order, next time.
Heaven. It's not often you walk into a dedicated gluten-free eatery. We had the veggie quiche and shared a blueberry muffin. Amazing! Soy and corn free options, as well.
Very friendly service. They made a special sandwich for me because the one I wanted had pesto and their pesto has cheese. They didn't have as many fully dairy free desserts as I would've liked, but the brownie and lemon bars just had a bit of butter, so that was okay for me and both were very good.
Awesome cinnamon rolls!!! They go fast! i went back to order a second one for my husband and me, but they had sold out -bummer for me! The omelette was good but the sausage in the omelette had too many herbs (I think it was rosemary) and I found it overpowering. Some may enjoy that flavor. We had wanted to order a lunch to take with us for a picnic but they won't sell lunch items until 11. We were there for breakfast so did not wait around to place that order. That was disappointing.
couldn't try it but the hours are wrong on here so double check with their site
Great concept. Everything is gluten free. Flavor is improving. Cupcakes are now really good, at first they were just ok. My favorite is the cinnamon roll. Sooo good! Their baguettes are also delicious. I haven't tried there dinner/lunch options, as their hours aren't the best and I've gone countless times only to find them closed.
Everything in the cafe is gluten free. Great prices and the food is awesome.
Went here while visiting a friend in the area. I had tried the meatball sandwich which was amazing and bigger than I expected. The staff is very nice and attentive. They have a large variety of food to offer such as tasty salads, hearty sandwiches, and delicious desserts.
can't beat a dedicated facility. they live up to their name and are really friendly and helpful. breakfast, lunch, whole loaves of bread! I am in this area for only a few days, but I Will make this stop again! so far we have had the french toast and breakfast panini. both were wonderful.
One of the first places I went after being diagnosed and have continued to return. Great food and everything is safe - pizza, sandwiches, cupcakes and more.
If you have a gluten allergy then this is your place. I had breakfast there and the pancakes are to die for. What a wonderful bakery and the staff was excellent. The crew was very knowledgable about the different ingredients they were cooking with. My kids even like it and they usually don't eat gluten free like I do.
I love this place but would love to see one in Escondido. The staff is friendly & very helpful. I don't mind the price when you think about all the equipment that is need to make sure it's just right. Only thing that I would change is that I would sell the mixes. There cake is the first I've had that doesn't give me stomach problems (not gluten problems). I just think every1 should try them. Thanks guys for having a place where we can eat really safe & also for making it corn free (allergic). Jeanie
A dream come true! They just need more locations! A bit pricey, but worth every penny for special occasions :-)
The cupcakes are wonderful. They have a nice flavor and are moist.
Everything in the place is gluten free and delicious. It's great to have the comfort of knowing that you won't be contaminated AND the food tastes great. Enjoy
Went to Enjoying Life Gluten Free Meetup, tried french toast, multigrain pancakes, meatloaf sandwich--they are all delicious!
Amazing! A dream come true. I loved the panini, latte, muffins and cupcakes. I cant wait to go back when im in the area again.
My friend shared this gem with me after my recent Celiac diagnosis. All is not lost! I walk in and breathe a sigh of relief every time I visit, knowing I can eat anything here and not worry about getting sick! I swear by their baguettes...and their cupcakes are so moist and yummy. Just last week however I strayed from my norm and I tried a berry cheesecake...to die for!!! I'm posting a picture of it now :-)
Awesome. You would never know it was gluten free, and that can get you into trouble! Because it's gluten free doesn't mean it's calorie free! You want to eat it all! YUM!!
Love this place. Watch out food maybe too good. :) binging can occur
It's great when there is no chance of cross contamination!
Just awesome. Absolutely the entire restaurant is gluten free and delicious.
Hands down the best gluten free food In San Diego. Awesome pizzas and wonderful cinnamon rolls. Take your friends and they will never know its gluten free. No need to worry about cross contamination since everything is gluten free!
At first I wasn't fond of the idea of trying something that is Gluten Free. My first instinct, is that it wouldn't be tasty or satisfy my sweet tooth. But I am the type to try something once and I am glad that I did. I tried their delicious mini cupcakes that was soft, tasty and satisfied my sweet tooth. I loved the combination of the cupcake not overly powering with sweetness. In fact, it was just right. My favorite would have to be the carrot cupcake. If the dessert is delicious, I will definitely have to come back to try their other dishes. Also, I am impressed that they offer cakes for any occasion. That is great to know and I will refer 2GOOD2B to my friends who are Gluten Free!
This place is amazing! I can't believe it's all gluten free! They even have cupcakes!! When I first walked in I couldn't believe the huge wedding cake they had out front. They make a really good panini, the bread tastes really good, fresh, and I almost forgot that it was gluten-free! I also have to say their french toast is out of this world! Don't leave without getting a cupcake though. I have to add to this, since I just recently tried their chicken pot pie..probably one of the best I have ever had!! :)
I love their mini-cupcake. It is so yummy. The cafe is very open and comfy, me and my girlfriends enjoyed the whole experiences and will recommend my gluten free friend to come try again.
I have been to 2GOOD2B a few times now. The cupcakes are AMAZING. This place has the best Gluten Free menu in San Diego County. Highly Recommended..
Due to my best friends gluten allergies, we have to choose gluten-free restaurants when dining out. I usually have a difficult time finding items that I like when we go to such restaurants, but loved the food at 2GOOD2B. I think that not only the chicken pot pie was amazing, but I would have never guessed that the cupcakes-I ordered the carrot cake-were gluten-free. I would definitely eat there again! Don't forget to take a baguette home...the bread is delicious.
Excellent place! Mike the owner is a really nice guy and the food is great! Everything on the menu is gluten free!
Amazing bread and cupcakes, Mac and cheese was delicious! Owner was very friendly, highly recommend.
Phenomenal food, phenomenal owners!
