Notice a reply stating they are closed for business. That's good to know but it's not openly posted. I checked Facebook and the web page. Only reference is a Facebook post if you dig hard enough. They could at least update their hours on Facebook to reflect closing.

Very disappointed. Drove over for lunch at 1230 and even though hours posted said open 8a-7p. They were closed. In conjunction with another review, stating the same problem, on here its just not worth the hassle.

GFAM we do apologize. We've had some trouble with a few employees. If you could send me a message at [email protected] we can make sure we send you a nice little care package. I know it doesn't fix things but it's the least we can do for the inconvenience.

Very disappointed! We would give no stars if I could. We are on our way to NC , been driving since 5:00 am and drove out of our way 30 minutes to get to Betsy's to find GF options for our young daughters - only to find that Betsy's will not open today until 10:30 am - despite the posted hours on the website and door stating that Betsy's is open on Fridays at 8:00 a.m. Another potential customer arrived while we were reading the late opening sign on the door and was also surprised they were not open. Very unreliable - be sure to call ahead to confirm they are open if you are going out of your way to visit!

So sad to hear they are closing both locations. This was a completely GF bakery and cafe with good food and baked goods. Completely GF establishments need the support of those whom they serve much more than restaurants who offer regular food and the occasional GF meal. IF the GF community really wants completely GF restaurants; safe from contamination, they have to show up and support the ones that truly put their heart and soul and life savings on the line; these are the establishments who are truly meeting the needs of the GF community! I was in the area for the day, and decided to look up a place for lunch ahead of time. I saw Betsy's here on the app and I had to try it. Had an awesome sandwich and got some cookies to take with me. Great quality food, and I actually feel safe eating here (there's always that thought in the back of your mind). As far as the comment about service, it could have been better, but I was there for the food and gluten-free facility.

Very disappointed. Went in last week for first time, terrible customer service. Don't recommend. Kitchen is DISGUSTING! Do yourself a favor and go down the road to the healthy grocer and try their fantastic gluten free baked goods, they are about the same price as Betsy's but far better in quality and freshness.

Great gluten free baked goods and Betsy is willing to bake to order to accommodate other allergies. This is the only place I've ever seen a gluten, dairy, and soy free cupcake. The chocolate walnut cookies are amazing too.

For the most part I love Betsy's and am so thankful to have a place to go that I can eat anything on the menu. I also try to avoid soy wherever possible and love that they have soy free options. They have many allergen free options for those who need them ie dairy, soy, and vegan. The menu selections while not huge in comparison to a regular restaurant for a gluten free facility are plentiful and a nice variety. I think everyone could find something on the menu they would like. If you order a meal either to eat there or to go the prices can't be beat, and these items are always tasty and fresh. It isn't like a normal restaurant though they don't really have condiments like my son loves to dip his chicken in ranch and they don't have stuff like that. Afterall it is a bakery with a small menu so I don't get too upset at stuff like that. I've never had a bad experience with a meal from their menu and I've probably eat there 20 or so times.

The baked goods in the case are another story. The most exciting thing about her baked goods is the variety and amazing selection of awesome goodies that you had long since given up hope that you would ever taste again. She has anything from raspberry cupcakes to key lime, to blueberry muffins to coffee cake it truly is amazing. however, I think most of her baked goods are a little overpriced. understand scratch made gluten free is going to cost more than say a walmart cake, but good grief there is a 50 dollar difference in a walmart 1/4sheet vs hers. Her 1/4 sheet is 65 and that is a little extreme. The individual cupcakes are 2.50 whereas walmart (just as a comparison) is 0.88. I Which would be fine if they were always fresh. Some days you will find fresher than fresh and others they taste like they have been in there a long time ie very dry and crumbly. I've been told that they make larger batches of cupcakes and other baked goodies they freeze most of the batch and then stock the case as needed... Which in a smaller family operated business you all but have to do but, if they are already freezing perhaps they should reduce the number of days items stay in the case. I've rarely bought rolls and didn't feel like they were stale the very next day. They do freeze ok though. The only other complaint is that items are rarely marked correctly in the case. Ie there will be a brown cupcake sitting in front of a "key lime" label, now clearly key lime wouldn't be brown and they are often so busy you hate to ask. I really do believe they are trying their best to provide the best quality possible gf baked goods without preservatives its just when you are spending 2.50 on a single cupcake or 8 dollars on 4 sub rolls it would be nice if they were always always fresh.

This seems like a bad review, but it really wasn't meant to be. I've been going to Betsy's since they opened and they are still the very best scratch made gf option for almost everything.

i was not impressed with the food. I do not have celiac, i just like to eat gluten free. The bread was very dry and tasted stale. The cupcakes and cookies are delicious, but i couldnt seem to get the nasty taste of that bread out of my mouth. the best glluten free bread that i have had is from udis, i think the owner or baker should take some notes from them. Their bread is always fresh tasting regardless on how long it has been opened for within reason. I wish that there was a negative star on here to express my dislike for such bread. i would not recommend buying any sort of bread that they sell here, it looks, taste, and feels nasty and gritty.

Exceptional! Our family of 4 stopped for lunch and had delicious GF deli sandwiches, fries, and chips. My son is also dairy intolerant and he was delighted with over a dozen dessert options--whoopee pies, cupcakes, cookies, WOW! We enjoyed it so much we stopped for lunch again on our way back home later in the week and picked up a fresh loaf of bread and several treats to take home and eat throughout the week and to freeze and enjoy later. Great service, well-informed staff know all about cross contamination and what precautions to take, cute location, plain décor but clean.

Being a newbie on the gluten free world is a challenge. Betsy does an awesome job making it easier. My granddaughter was just recently diagnosed with celiac. Her confirmation was last evening and we had Betsy do her cake. Awesome! Everyone enjoyed the cake and it was beautiful.

I have been new to the gluten free diet since August. I tried the store bought breads and was resolved to never eat bread again. One day, someone told me about Betsy's. Now I don't go anywhere else for bread. I have enjoyed their pastries, bagels, etc. They are constantly striving to meet customers suggestions and requests. They have been innovative in helping their customers by establishing a co-op as well. If you need more information about that, contact them.

They had a dinner special for Valentine's Day, and they are looking to having more events in the future. This is only restaurant in the area that we don't have to worry about contamination with gluten products.

If you haven't tried them, then you are missing out on something great.

I called to order a gluten-free birthday cake for a friend who is gluten free. We got a raspberry cake with cream cheese icing. Not only was the cake BEAUTIFUL, it was delicious! I have tried "store bought" gluten-free desserts without being a fan... but Betsy's does a fantastic job at making gluten free delicious!

I love this place and have been a regular since it opened. The options are amazing, and expansions/improvements are made to the products every week. Betsy's bread (gf&df) is to die for. Yes, some of the products like the bagels are hard if you don't get them fresh, but just go in the morning and you will be fine. Favorite df/gf products: bread (specifically baguettes), whoopie pie, cookies, and bagels (when soft and fresh in the morn).
