They were so helpful and there were muffins, floret ones, macaroons and almond horns. Very helpful staff. Good for non celiac.

This bakery was amazing. I’m not sure why others have given it such a low rading. The lady was amazing in her knowledge of gluten-free. They used paper to grab the gluten-free items so we’re not contaminated. I also got an amazing chocolate chip muffin that was separately wrapped. I highly recommend this place gluten-free options were great and they were just very nice.

We hit ALL the bakeries in Solvang for their GF treats and Birkholm’s are by far the most varied and delicious of all the possibilities! Two kinds of florentines, many flavors of macarons, two kinds of coconut macaroons, horns, kransekage, Sarah Bernhardt, and really really good coffee. One thing that would make this place perfect is if they had GF bread for their sandwiches in their little restaurant. Unfortunately, few safety precautions. Even still this sensitive human was (thankfully) not contaminated.

My rating is solely based on the gluten options, I’m sure this place is delicious. If you merely have a gluten preference there are 2 options: almond horns and macaroons. If you have celiac don’t bother, you’ll just feel sad about all the tasty treats you can’t enjoy. The two options are in a case touching everything else

Delicious! The princess waffle was my favorite. They've also added gluten free oatmeal to the menu. Perfect for a cold winter morning!
Almond horn, Sarah, and Princess cookie were all really yummy! They are in refrigerated cases with gluten containing items so eat at your own risk if highly sensitive or celiac. They do not have gluten free bread yet (working on it) so we ordered the turkey and ham sandwiches without bread and there were more that enough ingredients to make a meal. The meats were very tasty and fresh. The service was great. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable about gluten sensitivities. They also reminded me that they are not a gluten free facility which I thanked them for. :)

Princess waffles are stunning!
Three stars only because there is a limited selection of gf items. That being said, the princess waffle is well worth the stop. It is not a waffle so much as two flat caramelized sugar wafers sandwiching a thin cream center and dipped in chocolate. Yum!
Had the macaroon but got an allergic reaction, I'm guessing because it was right next to the regular gluten pastries. No bueno...
Stopped in to find a few GF baked goods (as mentioned on here previously). All are in the same case, and right alongside gluten items - so be aware. There were a few almond cookies, florentines, princess waffles (two florentines with mocha cream in the middle) available. I grabbed a princess waffle, quite tasty! I am not totally certain that I did not at least have a mild reaction, but I cannot be sure if it was from here or another place we stopped at. It was tasty, but perhaps not terribly smart for those of us with Celiac.
Sarah's gf macaroons, almond horseshoe and an almond cookie with loads of chocolate on it!Good!
