Great food and they are very careful to make sure the food is safe before it comes out to the table.
Awesome shakes. Amazing burgers. And they have gluten free buns. Amazing. I wish there were near me
Celiac Heaven. Lots to choose from: burgers, buns, fries etc 🍔🍟😋😍
Amazing!!!!!!!!! They are so careful with gluten free and even put stickers on them to be safe! The milkshakes are safe and delicious. The service is amazing and kind and the burgers are out of this world!!! This deserves way more than five stars, definitely celiac friendly😊😊👍👍👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ -Colleen, her daughter
The sweet potatoe fries were delicious as well as the burger/gf burger. the chocolate peanut butter shake was super yummy and the staff was proud to serve me. they even brought out my burger separately and told me how my food would be prepared.
Delicious!!! The gluten free menu is wonderful. It's so nice to go to a restaurant and not have to worry about what you are ordering.
I appreciate their understanding of gluten-free cooking and lack of cross-contamination. I had no problem with the food in that regard, but otherwise I found it underwhelming. Safe to eat but not special.
OMG so so good! And the menu choices are amazing they were even willing to work with us so I could have a burger styled after one off their regular menu. I am so impressed!
I had the Philly cheesesteak burger! what a treat! I'm the only GF person in my family and all agreed these were the best burgers! Good salads available, too!
Gluten free burger and fries.. With a bun! Delicious!
Exceptional burger especially the OMG! Highly recommend this amazing restaurant for anyone who is a sensitive celiac. Wish they were here in the NorthEast!!
Amazing!! Great for celiac!
Awesome doesn't it explain it!! Gf buns gf fries and shakes!!
My daughter has eaten here at least a dozen times and has never gotten sick. They have a great GF menu. They have a dedicated fryer for regular fries and sweet potato fries.
One of the best gluten free burgers I have ever had. The bun was fantastic it was incredibly soft and had a really good taste which is rare in a gluten free bun. Their fries were also amazing!
Excellent. Seriously the best burger I have ever had! Been to this location and Lakeland and both are very well trained on GF and I have been able to eat without any problems. The GF buns are awesome. They also have dedicated GF topping and milkshake stations. My family and I will be back.
Staff went out of their way to make sure we had an excellent, gluten-free experience. Dedicated fryer for french fries and sweet potato fries. Gf buns were quite good.
I was really pleased with this restaurant. They have a gf menu and gf bun. The bun was good and stayed together. The staff was very friendly as well. Overall, I was happy with it and would go back.
Buns that don't fall apart in your hands!!!
So disappointed that you can only have a beef burger!!! Regular menu offers many other choices, chicken, turkey seafood and veggie. I had to settle for a salad. I ask for the grilled chicken that's on the salads to be made into a sandwich and was told it is already cut up and cold.
Burger 21 is always my favorite place to get lunch. I always order the Cheesy Burger with a gluten free bun and some gluten free French fries! (Occasionally a vanilla milkshake) They always make everything %100 gluten free, even the milkshakes! Great place to go for fellow celiacs
Awesome burger, fries, and shake with precautions taken in the kitchen to prevent cross contamination!
Best gluten-free burger bun I've ever had. And even a dedicated frier if you ask for gf fries!
Great burger and fries! The bun held together and didn't fall apart. Best burger I've had in a long time.
Great food and knowledgable staff! All gf food is kept separate and fries are in a dedicated fryer (if you ask for gf fries). Great experience!
great GF bun. my new go to place. had fries also with no issues.
Hubby was pleased to find a great gluten-free bun accompany his gluten-free Philly Burger. Half and half fries (half regular half sweet potato) came out labeled with a gluten-free sticker. Nice.
Lots of options. Burger is so good love the bun. Went out of way to prepare something special for our friend with many allergies.
Omg-- aaaamazing burgers! I love the Philly burger. Sweet potato fries are also delicious. The only burger place I've gone that puts your burger on a bun and not lettuce and it actually tastes good. The portions are massive and I usually cannot eat the entire thing. Burger and a regular fry run me $11.23 and it's worth every penny. Dedicated fryer and I've never gotten sick. Love this place!
Possibly THE BEST gluten free hburger bun I've had. The burger itself was tasty, and I loves the yummy honey mustard on top. Plus BBQ and ranch to dip my GF fries. (The sauces are marked GF or not) the only drawback is the price - but worth it to me.
Really, really tasty and probably the best GF burger bun I've ever had, BUT, I did end up getting glistened somehow. I know they are careful and I know they understand but somehow there was cross contamination. Too bad because this place really rocked that burger! And the FRIES!!!! Delicious.
Manager brought me my burger and assured me fries were also gluten free. Gluten free bun was fresh and very good. There were lots of sauces to choose from.
Great place to eat! My husband says it's a definite competitor to 5 Guys.
Nice casual burger place with good-quality fresh beef and delicious GF buns from French Meadow bakery. Separate fryer, both regular and sweet potato fry options, and the sauces are clearly marked GF, and they are in big containers with pump bottles so low contamination risk. Have eaten here several times with no problems.
Dedicated gluten free space. Everything came out with a gluten free sticker, too. Have been twice and did not get sick either time. The food here was delicious. I was so happy to order a hamburger that had a bun, and a bun that tasted like a regular bun at that. The burgers were just the right size (not gigantic like some places), and the milkshakes were made to order from fresh ingredients. Sorey Five Guys, but this is my new go to place when in Albany!
This is a new location. The food was just as good as always and I didn't get sick at all. I had a pick up order and had trouble finding the place. The owner had them cook new fries for me because the original ones were getting old. I'll definitely be back.
Great experience! Gluten free menu, dedicated french fry frier with regular and sweet potato fries. Even the pump sauce bar is labeled which sauces are gluten free. I didn't try the gluten free bun, but the burger and both kinds of fries were delicious! There is even the fancy pick your flavor soft drink machine. I did not get sick. I have found my new go to burger spot!
I stopped here on my drive from Buffalo to Boston. After terrible luck with food in WNY, this was a very welcome stop. They have a separate menu with quite a few options. I sat at the milkshake bar, and the woman behind the counter explained that there was a completely separate GF area of the kitchen (or perhaps a separate kitchen all together), and her decision to work there stemmed from the fact that she had gluten sensitivity and other food allergies and felt safe at work. I got a plain burger and sweet potato fries, and they were absolutely delicious! I wish I'd had room to try one of their GF milkshakes, because the options looked wonderful! There are multiple Burger21 locations, but none in cities that I frequent. Come to Boston!
Okay I have not eaten here yet, but it sounds great. I called to clarify some things: Are the shakes gf? The answer I was given was YES, they can be made gf. Might want to ask more questions, but it sounds good. Secondly, it lists gf beer, but they mean cider - Angry Orchard. I wish they would carry my favorite beer - Red Bridge. The ciders don't really go with food.
Wow! That was the BEST cheeseburger I have eaten since 1997! I am amazed at what a difference the bun made! The burger was cooked the way I wanted, not pre-cooked. Burger 21 just made my Top 3 favorite restaurants! Thank you Monica, y'all do a great job!
Very good fast casual burger place. We went yesterday while visiting Albany from NYC. We had read the good reviews on this app and are so glad they we true! Nice place, separate prep area for GF food and they clearly marked our children's GF food and brought it to our table separately. We had no issues afterwards (and our one daughter is extremely sensitive). It was nice to be able to order GF fries and shakes. Their condiments were also clearly labeled as GF (or not). We will be back next time we visit the Albany area.
All i can say is WOW!! They are amazing here!! My burger and fries were delicious. Every one here is so friendly and accommodating and they treat celiac seriously. They label your food with a gluten free sticker and bring it to the table separately. I can not wait to go back and try all the burgers. No stress -no worry -just enjoy your food here.
Staff was knowledgeable. I skipped the fries since I'm paranoid. I don't eat out much at all so this was a leap. Burger was good (not amazing but good), milkshake was delicious. Food was brought out separately and marked. They said they make the milkshake with a separate spindle to avoid cc. Good experience, didn't get sick.
Great food and fast service. Safe place for celiacs.
They cook the burgers to order. Friendly staff and love the fries. The one thing I don't like is the overly processed sauces. Otherwise good eats! The GF bun is the bomb.com.
Great burgers! Nice staff!!
quite good, gluten free bun and fries.
Excellent food and service. My wife, (who has a gluten allergy), and I have eaten here 3 times, and my wife has had no issues with cross contamination at all. They seem to have a good understanding of what the gluten allergy really means, and take it seriously.
Outstanding! Really knowledgeable and careful. Our new favorite burger place.
3 out of 4 in our family are celiac and we have never been contaminated. We eat here every two weeks and have been well taken care of (especially by Jack)! We love Burger 21! One tip that I was too shy to stick to when I was first diagnosed-- always ask for the manager if you need to order gluten free!! Employees often don't care because they are not individually responsible for the mistakes of the franchise. Managers are!!! Once my son was diagnosed with celiac as well, I got over my shyness for his health!
So, I was really hopeful about this place after reading reviews. I don't know if my experience was bad because the cashier that took our order was clueless about celiac. I told her I was celiac and needed GF, then asked her if the fries are cooked in the same fryer basket with breaded food and she proceeded to show me the different size baskets that the fries come in (small, medium, large)... That should've been my first clue. The burger was extremely salty, greasy and undercooked. I woke up later that night hurling my guts up.. :-( I gave it 3 stars because they do have a lot of options that may be safe for a non-celiac.
Loved my gluten free pizza burger and sweet potato fries. I am in the introductory phase of the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP). I have only been to two restaurants in four months. Three hours later and I feel good. I usually have symptoms by now. Good sign that there was no contamination. So glad because the burger was very yummy. I don't think the beef was grass fed, but worth the opportunity to eat out.
This restaurant has a dedicated fryer, a condiment bar with "GF" label on many of the sauces, and a GF bun. I ordered a GF bun with cheese for my 6 year old daughter. They made it after many frustrated keystrokes at the cash register thingy, but they charged me for an adult burger...around $8 I think. The only vegetarian GF option is fries and ice cream.
