The cashier said preventing cross contamination was not possible and was unwilling to ask. A server popped by and got who I assume was manager and said they thought they could make it work. Seemed somewhat knowledgeable, but not sure.

Gluten free bread/toast available and all Scrambles are gluten free.

I've been dining at Carolines for several years and had continually asked when they would be adding GF options. I hadn't been in a year and was pleased to find them listed on Find Me GF. I preordered the chicken curry sandwich and it was delicious. The bread was good if not great, a bit crumbly, but served well.

I really love Caroline's. It is definitely one of my favorite places to go have breakfast or brunch in San Diego. Their food is really delicious and the view simply cannot be beat! They have a really delicious salmon salad and breakfasts. The prices are fairly reasonable as well. This is definitely a location I would take visiting guests in San Diego to eat or just treat yourself if you would like a beautiful oceanview around you for a meal. For the cost of the food it's one of the more reasonable places in town considering the atmosphere.Caroline's also has gluten-free bread available upon request and has a good sandwich menu including Tuna, Chicken Almond Curry and a turkey tomato. I can also get a mimosa there :) The only downside is the parking. On weekends you can use the parking lot near the restaurant but during the week it's restricted to UCSD student parking only ( the restaurant is actually on the campus of the University). I've never actually used the parking lot but always parked curbside on La Jolla Shores Drive. From any curbside space it's a short walk through the scenic campus to the cafe at the beachfront. Highly recommend Caroline's!
