Great pizza and gluten free roles, fries are breaded but the chips are safe. Be careful as some of the wait staff aren’t the most knowledgeable, for example the gyro meat has gluten in it.

Not very celiac friendly. Some items marked gluten free are made in same fryer with gluten items. The chips are not gluten free because fried with gluten items. The chicken kebab platter came with fried potatoes. We were told the pizza had risk of contamination. There were some gf salads and they gave us some gf garlic bread. Maybe the gf sandwiches would be ok because the bread was pretty good. We did not get the impression that there were generally procedures in place to prevent cross contamination.

The food there was great. Advised not to eat the pizza due to cross contamination but the sandwiches were fantastic! I had my first cheese steak in years! Loved the bread, which is only made in VA, so much that I bought 6 loaves to take back home. Only drawback was the service- not somewhere to go when you want a quick bite!

Update fall 2022: they are no longer serving pasta downstairs. Such a disappointment bc we prefer downstairs and kids want pasta. Pita pizza still great tho!
We love the pizza and pasta! We go to the Cellar whenever we are in town for VT games. We stopped on our way to Charlotte, making the detour off of I-81. They have Bold Rock on draft.

The food was very good and had many options. The menu was marked but slightly confusing. You could request gluten free bread for any of the sandwiches but you had to ask if the sandwich ingredients were gluten free. That being said the staff was very knowledgeable. The sandwich bread was fantastic.

We like the GF sandwiches and pizza. Really nice for the non-GF members of the family, too. My celiac daughter has had no problems with the food.

It has been a long time since I have been somewhere with such a wonderful gf menu! The entire menu was clearly marked GF on all of the appropriate GF menu options. They even had a gf brownie! The outdoor seating options were plentiful, and the server was very good as well.
I had a salad and at some point the veggies came in contact with gluten. I was super sick for days. Their GF pizzas are made on the same trays as regular dough, so no GF measures are followed. Not celiac friendly.

Do not go here if you have celiac. Our servers were not educated at all. Three of us ordered sandwiches on gluten free bread without the curly fries because they’re not gf. I got a sandwich with fries and my friend got a sandwich on gluten bread and they insisted it was gf bread which we could tell from appearance it wasn’t. I got a “new” sandwich in less than 5 minutes, ate it, and got sick. Pretty sure they gave me the same sandwich back because mine wasn’t hot but my friend said hers was when she got her “new” one.

One of my favorite places to eat my four years in Blacksburg. They have INCREDIBLE gluten free bread for their sandwiches, and would definitely suggest getting a hot sandwich, my favorite is the pesto panini. They also have gf pizza and brownies. I WISH they could figure out how to make gf calzones, but for the non gf family members- they’ll find plenty of options they love, especially the calzones. They have a lot of variety in their menu and a great atmosphere so everyone in the family will be happy with the pick. Also great service as long as I’ve lived here.
I’ve eaten here a few times and it’s usually decent, but the last time I did I was violently sick from a gluten reaction(celiac). I ordered a pizza and pasta dish. Not sure what happened but I’d just double check with your server before eating.
We had a really nice dinner here tonight. The waitress was very forthcoming about possible cross-contamination issues (the "gf" pizza is actually cooked on the same equipment as regular pizza...which means it is in fact not gf.) Also, the gf brownies on the menu apparently are only "partly gluten free." However, my son got a gf pasta dish and he said it was delicious, as well as the gf garlic bread that came with it. I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki Kabobs with roasted potatoes (tri-colored!) and it was fantastic. We would absolutely go here again.

Great gf options! Gf garlic bread while you wait! Gf pizza, gf pasta, gf desserts, and more! Amazing food! Must stop while in town!
Good food. Typical college town staff.
Great service, awesome food! They even gave me gf bread with my Greek salad! Get the gf pita pizza. It's delicious. Lots of great options. Waitress was very knowledgeable about celiacs and gluten allergies.
Great options! Pizza, pasta, sandwiches, salads, chili. But crowded, slooooow service.

One of my most favorite restaurants in Blacksburg! True to downtown parking can be a nightmare but it's worth it for there pita pizza! Super yummy :)
