Noisy, but fun sportsbar atmosphere. Bun crumbles, but it's tasty. Mgr brings gf entree to table. I frequent here, it's close to home. I LOVE the nacho-like loaded freshly fried potato chip appetizer. I eat it as a meal. I also like the burgers, BBQ chicken sandwich, and fish. The salads have been inconsistent. Once the dressing was so vinegary it was indelible.
Quite a novelty to finally be able to order a hamburger that has a bun AND is gluten free! This was my first time here and I looked forward to enjoying a hamburger. The waitress assured me that they prepared items that are gluten free in a separate area of the kitchen and were very careful to avoid cross contamination. They have a killer appetizer: Loaded Potato Chips that are GF. They make their chips, cover them with cheese, bacon bits, diced tomato, chopped green onion, with sour cream...really fantastic. I had the Ceddar Bacon Burger (comes with fries) on a GF bun. It was huge! The bun was light, didn't weigh a ton, but about half way through it began to disintegrate, but the non-GF buns were doing the same. I ended with the banana pooding dessert that was a real winner (they leave out the coconut and Nilla Wafers). There are quite a few other GF items on their menu. The price is very reasonable (you pay $1.00 extra for the GF bun). I'd highly recommend this one to all who've really wanted to have a great burger in a fun atmosphere.
I go often they always take care of me. I've never had a problem, the food is good.
After reading all the great reviews, I felt confident as a Celiac that this restaurant was a safe place to eat. Wrong. I ordered the All American burger and fries. I specifically asked the waiter if the fries were fried in a dedicated fryer and he said yes they are. About 20 minutes after eating, I was in severe stomach pain. I didn't really like the fries they had some seasoning on them aside from the tons of salt. I was sick the rest of the night. It could have been cross contamination. It was not a safe option for me.
I had high hopes for this place. The GF part is that I did not get sick. But the GF bun was burnt- they took to back and somewhat burnt the second bun. I was tired of waiting so I just pealed the burnt parts of the 2nd bun. It still had some what burnt taste. They really did not care much. I will not return, but it may be safe to eat there.
Young waitress was clueless about celiac-safe requirements. May be fine for the gluten-intolerant, but would be very careful with celiac. They did say they had a dedicated fryer, but I suspect there was cross-contamination somewhere along the line, as I felt ill afterwards. Food taste/quality was good "pub food," overall.
We eat here every time we come to MB. Great selection of burgers that can be served on warm gluten free bun. Fries are cooked in dedicated fryer. Most recently, I had a burger with avocado, salsa, cheese, and sour cream. It was amazing. They also have grilled chicken breast to exchange for beef patty if you prefer. Great family atmosphere. Will return!
This was, hands down, the best meal I had while visiting Myrtle Beach. I ordered the All American burger on a GF bun and fries. The manager brought my food out separately from the rest of the family's to prevent cross contamination. Everything was delicious and I didn't get sick!
they have a gluten free menu but it states on there that they are not a gluten certified kitchen so it's eating at your own risk. I got a gluten free veggie burger and they stuck bacon on there! I didn't know if it was a joke or something. also they have no idea what gluten free alcohol they have. I asked them if they had the gluten free vodkas I knew of but the waitress disappeared, forgot she was supposed to ask, then asked a Manger, then came back with an answer but by that time we were done with the meal. not impressed.
I've been here many times excellent gf bun burgers very good. The staff always seems knowledgeable about cross contamination. Try the loaded chips
Large gf menu. Server was very careful and knowledgable. Since I am on vacation I was hesitant to try the chips/fries - but I disorders the guac bacon burger on a gf bun with a salad. Sadly the bun didn't make it to my mouth, crumbled away. But even w out the bun the burger was great.
Great gluten free menu. Very good burger. Come hungry. They're huge!
One of the best celiac friendly places we have come across! They have a separate gf menu and lots of options. To be able to get a burger with a homemade gf bun, fries, and loaded nachos, we couldn't believe it! Kevin was our waiter and he was very knowledgeable and spent a lot of time with us answering any questions we had. He explained about separate fryers and made special accommodations for my daughter and I. They are also very sensitive to other food allergies. Can't wait to go back!
I have Celiac's and have been GF for 11 years. I eat here regularly and have not experienced problems. They always have a manager bring my food out separately from others to assure me it is GF. I love it there! Great GF buns on the burgers.
The burger was fabulous and the manager personally delivered it and made sure it was done correctly.
Cheeseburger tasted awesome! Bun fell apart and was super messy. Fries were good. Menu options included appetizers, several meals and deserts. One side salad was ordered they told us they had no gluten free salad dressing so oil and vinegar was the only option. Two family members whom dinned have ceilacs and have had no negative reaction. I was impressed by the knowledge and measures taken by the staff for the dietary restriction. Sadly, had to drop the star rating due to terrible service. :(
Went to this restaurant because it was advertised as being gluten free friendly...HUGE mistake! First, the waitress was confused as to if they had gf fries and brought us sweet potato fries instead of the advertised gf French fried potatoes. Then after eating half of his burger, my son realized he had a regular bun instead of a gf bun. Asked the waitress to check and sure enough he was brought a regular bun with his burger. So disappointing!!
My celiac family and I thoroughly enjoyed this place! You can have french fries and burgers with a bun here. We were worried one of my son's bergers was not a gluten free bun because it was toasted so perfectly! Even the chef came out to reassure us it was all gluten free. Highly recommend.
They have much better service than the past few years! They have a gf menu now, dedicated fryer, fries and burgers. buns, etc. very good gf bun was soft and delicious! Happy they have gotten better, manager brought out my meal and everyone was very friendly!
I was overall pleased. The food was good. They had a gluten free menu and buns for the burger that I actually ate. Usually the gluten free buns at places are yuck. This one looked different and didn't fall apart. Gluten free sweet potato fries were good too. The burger was pretty dry for a $12.00 burger plus an extra two dollars for gluten free bun. But I felt safe and I am a celiac. (So that's worth it really!)
While joy riding after work on a rainy day, my friend and I happened to drive through the Destin area and decided to look for a safe spot to eat. Neither of us were dressed for any of the restaurant at Grand Boulevard that offer gluten-free accommodations, so we look up our other options on this app. After reading the reviews on how thorough the restaurant is with preventing cross contamination with items containing gluten, we still did our due diligence to ask the waitress about the process. She explained that they have a button on their POS machine that tells the kitchen a meals is to be prepared gluten-free. The kitchen staff then uses new utensils, gets the gluten-free buns from a safely stored area away from the gluten-containing bund, and then the buns and meat are prepared on a section dedicated for gluten free cooking. They even have a dedicated gluten free fryer for their french fries, sweet potato fries, and chips. She even went back to the kitchen and asked the mayonnaise was certified gluten free, which it was. As for the actual meal, it was such a treat. Both my friend and I eat on a strict gluten-free diet, so finding a place that offered gluten-free burgers with safe french fries from a dedicated fryer made a rainy day great! We split the "kickin chicken nachos" for an appetizer (we asked for jalapeños and onions be left off as a personal preference, not related to a gluten-free). For my entree, I had the gluten free grilled chicken sandwich with cheese and mayo with an egg on top and a side of sweet potato fries. My friend had the gluten free bacon gaucomole burger with sweet potato fries. It was so good! Next time I might try the citrus grilled chicken entree that waitress raved about and save some room for dessert!
