Our party ate outside in gazebo/bar area. Beautiful location with great views. They have a GF menu with great choices. My server was knowledgeable about the food and allergens. My food was delivered separately and tagged for food allergy. Wow. I honestly can’t tell you the last time that much care was put into making sure my food was safe.

Great experience here. They had a separate allergy menu (including guidance for all common allergens) that also clearly described their kitchen practices (GF pasta is boiled in separate water, the frier is shared, etc). The waitress was also very knowledgeable and each course was brought out with a marked allergen flag. They use GF graham crackers in their key lime pie and it was delicious!

Waitress was very knowledgeable, food was flagged gluten free. I had a house salad with a citrus dressing, scallops, mashed potatoes, and steamed mixed veggies. Key Lime pie for dessert. Good was delicious, service was good, and I didn’t get sick!

Had a good experience - pretty good food and they had an allergen menu that listed out what was safe for gluten free, dairy free, etc. Limited choices for GF, especially for kids (2 of our 3 celiacs are kids).

The waitress didn't know what gluten was, but she did at least check with the kitchen. They seem to think cross contamination is okay, but I just avoided fried things.

Have a separate menu for allergies. I got rum butter mahi mahi with veggies and baked potato. It was good! Came out with an allergy flag and was assured precautions were taken.

Ordered the nachos and Cobb salad with chicken. They have a gluten free menu, it is very small though. Both came out with allergy flags with gluten circled. I appreciate that. Didn’t get sick, food wasn’t too bad. Nothing phenomenal but it works for a solid gf meal.

Clearly established my fiancé was celiac with the waitress. She made us feel comfortable with the food and even provided a gluten free menu. We ordered a stone crab and oysters for appetizers, and their clam chowder before my fiancé was able to eat anything else. I’ve never seen her run to the bathroom while we were still eating, but she had to get it out of system... they made us pay in full. I believe it was their clam chowder that got to my fiancé; god knows what they did with it. Absolutely disappointed with the outcome.

We had the Seafood Chowder, Seafood Bake, Crab Topped Ribeye and KEY LIME pie for dessert! Wow! T was our server! She was knowledgeable and careful. Could not be happier

They have a separate allergy menu, server was very knowledgable about what was gluten free and had good suggestions. The seafood chowder is amazing and the key lime pie was a dream. My blackened cobia even came out with a allergy tag on it :) this kitchen knows what's up! Plus wonderful views and atmosphere. Make a reservation, it be busy!

We have eaten here safely before while traveling to Marco Island. The menu had a QR code on the menu that pulled up all allergy information. The waitress made me feel confident about what I ordered (salmon and extra veggies- I am also DF). When my meal arrived it was delivered by a separate person and had a flag toothpick with my allergies (gluten/celiac and dairy) with a note saying it was prepared to accommodate. I wish I had a picture!! Delicious meal and felt fine.

I had filet mignon and it was very good. They also have GF key lime pie for dessert and it was delicious! Caution with the nachos!!! Fried in a shared fryer, the waitress told us right away when we were going to order them.

Myself and 2 of my kids have Celiac Disease.
The restaurant is amazing! Beautifully located with indoor and outdoor seating. Allergy menu clearly states Gluten Free options or items that can be modified to be Gluten Free. Wait Staff is very well versed with celiac disease and food comes out well labelled.
A definite for my family while visiting Marco Island!

Have been here a handful of times and have never had an issue. They have a separate allergen menu, listing which items are naturally gluten free and which menu items can be gluten free with modifications!

We live on Marco and our daughter has celiac. CJs is one of a handful of places where she can eat and not get contaminated. We are so grateful!!!

Could not rave more about this place! They are so friendly and do such a good job with gluten free! We are back here for the third night in a row!!! Every other restaurant around is nearly impossible to eat at without a reservation, but in addition to reservations, CJs has tables around the bar rotunda that are first come first serve. We have been able to get a table here every night! I get the salmon entree every night, which comes with a salad, veggies, and a starch (all for $26!!!). All of the gluten free food comes out with a slip that the chef prepared it with a gluten allergy in mind. Practically everything can be prepared gluten free (not the fried food). They also bring out a separate menu that explains which foods contain which allergens (super helpful if you have other allergies as well). Overall a great restaurant with a pretty view! I have celiac and have not gotten sick!

They have an extensive allergen menu. Gluten & dairy free are clearly marked & they will accommodate your specific needs. Your food comes out with labels showing it was prepared gluten free. I also think it depends on your wait staff. The last time I ate there my server was clueless & I didn’t feel as comfortable ordering.

I had the seafood scampi and it was very good! The seafood was a bit overwhelming at times but I’m not used to eating a lot of seafood. The waitress was very knowledgeable about allergens and my food even came with a flag that said special care to make sure my food was prepared carefully and without gluten. No gluten free bread or buns but there were many options available.

Tried to order gluten-free pasta for lunch. They did not have any. The options with steaks and pork chops are not available. Unfortunately daughter allergic to seafood. They do have gluten free and dairy free menus which is good however very limited for lunch.

This was an amazing experience! Had an extensive allergen-friendly menu that catered to wheat, dairy, egg, and soy allergies. It not only included naturally allergen-free items, but also items that could be made allergen-free with a few substitutions. My food came out flagged, marked with my allergies, and separate from the other meals (and it was DELICIOUS!!!!). CJ’s has a really cool atmosphere. Would highly recommend!!

They have a separate menu for GF, nut allergies, soy, dairy, fish, shell fish and eggs. The staff was super accommodating and the food was delicious
This is not safe for celiacs. I asked if the french fries would be safe for my daughter and the waiter said absolutely. He then went on to say that they were made in the same fryer as other foods, but that they use canola oil which is ok for any allergies. He said he was told this by management or owner. I really can’t remember because I was so angry at this point that I stopped listening to him after such a ridiculous statement. I was glad I brought food for my daughter because there was no way that I would have trusted this restaurant at all.

I’m gluten sensitive, not celiac, and didn’t have issues. I’ll be honest, I was there for the fries and they didn’t disappoint. Hadn’t had any in over a year. I ordered carpaccio and it came with toasted bread on top of some of the meat even though I said I was gluten free. I think this is a big and very busy place and they are not great with special order follow through. Be prepared to have to send something back if it’s not right.
I have never had a problem with cross contamination here. Limited choices, but food is always delicious!

Although popular restaurant with good food and ambiance, my celiac daughter had gf pasta dish but found regular pasta mixed into her dish. Although we explained we needed careful handling with her food due to cross contamination, we learned that the gf and regular pasta are cooked together after the fact!!! Maybe if we had spoken to manger to begin with, everything would have been handled different. Very frustrating!!!

After reading positive reviews, on vacation, we decided to head for CJ's for Father's Day. Everything seemed to be great until my 11 year old son who has celiac found a big gluten filled piece of pasta in his dish. Unfortunately, he didn't find it until the end of his meal. :( They didn't charge us for his meal, but I'm afraid the damage has already been done.

Any restaurant that has its own GF menu makes me very happy. It helps to know that they take it seriously! I've been here multiple times and thoroughly enjoy my food without any issues. The servers are educated in what we can/can't have and even told me that they can enter a "gluten" button to inform the kitchen to prepare the entire meal in a special manner.

They offer an allergen menu and many GF options are available. Our party had burgers and a Mediterranean chicken wrap in lettuce cups, all of which were excellent. Is on the marina and has outdoor seating and an outdoor bar. Very classy place but casual outside. Service was excellent!
