I have been going to Coco Fairfield's for a few years, now, and realized I've never reviewed this restaurant. This place is about as perfect a balance between GF and non-GF you can get (to bring friends with), without risk of cross contamination.
This little diner has:
1) Dedicated kitchen prep space
2) Dedicated waffle maker
3) Dedicated fryer
4) Dedicated toaster
5) Dedicated griddle space
The flours are also handled in completely different areas. I have never gotten sick here, and the owner has personally mixed a special waffle batter on the spot for me when I had to cut out dairy for a time but didn't want a cornbread waffle (their regular waffles, except this one, have dairy in them).
The head chef (and I absolutely would call her this) is a genius. She makes muffins, cupcakes, brownies, banana (other) breads from scratch to feature every week, it is always GF. I have never had a specialty item that I didn't like.
The only downside, is they don't use warming elements to keep food hot. So, sometimes, food comes out not piping hot, but warm. If you want it super hot, let them know. It is very busy on the weekends, and it is a hot spot for GF eaters, so be prepared for the chance of a wait to sit.
The staff are extremely cheerful and knowledgeable about what is and isn't available, including cross contamination precautions. Almost everything is naturally prepared GF or can be made GF (safely, by Celiac standards).

After reading the reviews and the menu, I headed out there today. Almost everything was available gf. Separate fryers, waffle makers etc and knowledgeable staff. I’ll be back soon even though it’s a 30 minute drive. Oh, and BTW...my breakfast was fabulous

They understand celiac very well. They have dedicated space for preparing and cooking gf. I get gf French toast with hash browns and bacon. The bread used in the French toast tastes really good and doesn’t have a weird texture and is not grainy at all. I have not tried anything else there yet but I am very excited to. You should definitely try it out!

Great family place. My celiac boyfriend has been going there for years. Great bread and nitrate free bacon and sausage. No msg in anything either.

After seeing the reviews, I was very excited to try this place. We waited for over an hour (it was very busy) and still waited a while for our food. I got a stuffed French toast with the California omelette. They didn’t bring me the side of GF toast, the omelette was not impressive as it was just a clump of bacon thrown inside with a slice of cheese and sliced tomato. I was t too confident of the cross contamination because I found a couple of pieces of mushroom on the side of my omelette and it didn’t come with that. I’ve had mild contamination symptoms since eating there and probably won’t be eating there again :/

I had a very pleasant experience. I ordered gluten free pancakes (only $8.50 for a shortstack of 3). The restaurant is very cute and quaint. When I arrived there was a line but it moved pretty fast and the wait was only about 10 minutes. When the owner overheard I was gluten free he stopped by my table throughout breakfast and made sure I was enjoying my food and my overall dining experience. Kind people, cute environment, good food. I will definitely be returning soon.
On a Saturday morning rush we got in, sat at the counter and were supremely taken care of! We had three waitstaff help and double check with the kitchen staff and looked up ingredients for different GF and DF options just to be sure. I had the corn bread waffles, turkey bacon and eggs. No gluten. No dairy. Yay!!!! Been here a few times and have enjoy every experience.

I eat here all the time. Super great staff, knowledgeable, and trusting! Never had an issue. Feels good to be able to eat somewhere and feel totally comfortable. Love it here.
Based on great reviews, I decided to place a lunch order because I had no food in my house. When I called, the women who answered was impatient and was unable to answer some of my questions. ( I even asked if there was a slower time during the day when they had time to talk to me.)
Still, I decided to order three burgers. When I pick them up I asked a few more questions specifically about the tiny kitchen and the safety steps they took to make sure there was no cross-contamination and I was told that they did the best they could but there were no guarantees.
I took the food and took a few bites but decided to throw the food out because it was not worth the risk. They did not make me feel confident or comfortable about their food safety.

This place smells amazing! Delicious food, helpful and friendly staff who are aware of the ingredients and were happy to give their stuffed French toast a makeover without the cream cheese so I could have it. Gf French toast with cinnamon apple compote & variety of homemade jams. My guest with no food allergies equally enjoyed his meal as well! Said the pancakes & omelet were outstanding. Has that cozy local diner appeal, definitely will be back!

Very knowledgeable about cross contamination and excellent food. One of the largest selections of gluten free foods and they are also nut free.
Very friendly and knowledgeable. I've never gotten sick here. Food ranged from OK on some visits to great on others.
Pretty small place, though, and seating can be a problem, especially with more than 4 people.
