Amazing! From the phone call to book a table and them asking if we were celiac, to the best gf bread rolls we’ve had served :) amazing service, authentic feel and food, a real 10/10. My celiac parter felt very safe eating here and was delicious :)

Travelled to London for the first time and this place and so many 5 star reviews on this app so I had to see if it was worth the hype… IT WAS! I had tortelloni for the first time since being GF and it was unbelievable. The owner is so kind and generous. He is a hoot and a half, as well. It is great for GF and non gf people alike. Oh. My. Goodness!! This restaurant is a godsend for Celiacs, the owner is also celiac and there are TWO KITCHENS to ensure everything is gluten-free. The food is insanely delicious! We had three entrees, three pizzas and three dessert- YUM!

Gluten free heaven. The homemade bread and freshly made gf pasta is to die for. We also shared a gf pizza and the base was delicious, followed by gf tiramisu. We’re already planning to go back and can’t wait to try the rest of the menu.

This restaurant is amazing!! I got the gluten free tomato and mozzarella spinach gnocchi and it was lovely. Our waitress was very friendly and well informed about allergies. Most items had an option for a gluten free version. I had the chocolate cake for dessert and it was the best gluten free cake I’ve ever had. I 100% recommend giving this restaurant a visit when you’re in London!!

Incredible spot run by a coeliac owner. Nearly every dish can be prepared gluten-free, though there's a small fee for the gluten-free version. The owner, who was exceptionally friendly, took around 15/20 minutes to chat with us at the end, which was a delightful touch. The food was outstanding, and the portions were generous—I even had to take half of my main course home! Highly recommend and will absolutely be coming back!

Amazing place where the owner is coeliac. Pretty much every item can be made gluten free, there is still a small charge for the gluten free version. I’ve been to Cotto twice now and love it. The place is small and not fancy but is filled with the personality of the owner Lino. His personal blend/recipe for gf pizza dough and pasta is fantastic. This last visit I had the gf tiramisu. I was shocked. So good! Thanks Lino!!

This is a coeliac dream spot! Only 2 items not made GF and they have a dedicated GF kitchen. From the moment we booked I had 100% confidence in the GF options and was not disappointed. Amazing gluten free food with a BIG warning: They have servers who do not speak and understand English really well My husband asked if everything was gluten free and the server said yes. He then offered a basket of bread and my husband asked if it was gluten free. The server nodded and said yes. I took a slice of bread and butter and ate half when the server came back with a plate of bread. He misunderstood and thought my husband had a gluten allergy and got HIM gluten free bread. My husband said wait, was the other bread NOT gluten free? the server said sorry he misunderstood. I had already eaten half a slice of gluten bread. The owner came to ask if I was okay and I said I didn’t know but I have celiac disease so Im pretty worried. He said you have to speak up about that! I did. He said “impossible! the server speaks very good english! i said nothing because I was shocked be the reply. The server took responsibility and said he was so sorry and he didn’t understand. he insisted it was his mistake which it was. So lesson learned. Everything can be made gluten free but all items are NOT gluten free. The food was so flavorful and wonderful that I would come back but be sure to say that you have severe gluten allergy. try the Gf lasagna. also have lots of gluten free dessert options.

They have gluten free pizza and pasta that tasted not gluten free. The owner is celiac and passionate about his art. He’s on site and spent about 20 minutes talking to us at the end of the trip. Nice personal touch.

In general it was disappointing. We came without a reservation and the waitress offered a table right near the entrance saying it was the only available place, but guests that arrived later without reservation were offered tables on the second floor. Then they offered us bread, and I politely refused and some guy, maybe the owners, made a remark on my face saying it was skinny as a proof that I habitually don’t enjoy tasty bread. He also added that we probably don’t want wine maybe he thought that since we’re dark skinned we’re muslims and assumed we can’t have it. The food was nice but not something I wouldn’t miss. The head waiter was the only professional person in this place.

Could not have been any better! Owner greeted us and when he checked who was eating GF in our group, said he himself was GF and high-5’d me, I felt pretty confident in getting a safe meal. On 12 June 23, we went for lunch at COTTO restaurant and ended up in an Emergency room at St. James Hospital with a severe anaphylactic allergy reaction!

Our daughter has an allergy to all gluten-containing grains and cashew too. The manager had taken time out to read our allergy card and confirmed that they could cater for us. We were assured that all items on the menu card which were marked in green (except Lasagne) were suitable for us. We also checked multiple times with staff regarding meal safety - before sitting down, before placing the order and after receiving our order too.

We had ordered gluten-free veg pasta & verified the ingredients mentioned on the menu too. However, halfway through the meal, my daughter felt a tongue-tingling sensation which was a red flag for us. We informed the manager & left the restaurant.

Within the next 1 hour, she faced multiple allergy reactions viz. Vomit, difficulty in breathing, rashes etc. We had to administer her Epi-pen and rush her to the hospital's Emergency ward.

The whole experience was so traumatic & I do not want anyone else to go thru it! Do note that there are gluten dishes prepared in the kitchen. We suspect the pasta dish contained wheat maybe through cross-contamination. Therefore pls use your discretion before ordering at the restaurant.

Amazing Italian find for GF dining in the Waterloo area! The owner is very nice and he has had celiac for 35 years. They knew exactly how to address concerns about Coeliac and cross-contamination. They even have a separate kitchen to prepare all the gluten-free food. The pasta, lasagna, and ravioli were absolutely delicious and delightful. If we had more time I would completely come back here again. They will also, for a small price, bring out gluten-free bread. Loved it here! Our two kids have celiac and our daughter is very sensitive to any small amount of cross-contamination. She ate a safely here!

This Italian restaurant was amazing. They had had a separate kitchen for the gluten free food and a separate oven for gluten-free pizza. It is 100% safe for those with celiac disease. The man who owns it has CD himself. Much recommended. I would say that they deserve a dedicated gluten-free label.

Das war ein wunderschönes Restaurant Erlebnis mit einer großen Auswahl an glutenfreien Speisen und einem netten Service. Da der Inhaber und sein Sohn Zöliakie haben, isst man hier sicher und kann ganz entspannt schlemmen. Sollte es uns wieder nach London bringen, sind wir auf jeden Fall wieder Gast.

Charming place with a really nice owner. The homemade gf tortellini was so delicious, I had tears in my eyes. I will definitely go back on my next trip in August! Make a reservation. My daughters who are not gf loved their food too!

One of the worst restaurant they claim to make gluten free but when asked about cross contamination they claimed they are aware. After just 3 spoons we had to rush to hospital because of allergy attack. The restaurant person was also rude not accepting the mistake.
