They are closing for good June 20, 2021. We arrived on a Friday at lunch time and this place was packed, service took awhile but likely due to how busy they were. We got the GF chicken strips and fries. They tasted great and no reactions or issues. They couldn't tell us the ingredients in the German Potato Salad so we didn't order, got fries instead. Taste was good and we would eat here again if they weren't closing.

We had a nice dinner here this evening. It's a fun place, decorated in a 50's car theme with license plates and memorabilia. They use rice oil in their deep fryer and their gluten free chicken strips and fries were not at all greasy. The sad news is apparently they are closing for good on June 20, 2021. It will be a loss. Double check before going there.

The chicken strips are the best I've ever had! They are cornmeal crusted, crunchy, and amazing! We drive 30 minutes at least once a month to get the chicken strips. The burgers are all very good also, and they even give a choice of GF buns! They focus on quality ingredients. Milkshakes and root beer floats are also very good, and huge. The staff is always very friendly and professional, and mostly pretty young. It seems like the owners (who are always there and also exceptionally nice) are intentional about training the staff well and giving them great opportunities. Can't recommend this restaurant highly enough!

The wait staff are great, very knowledgeable on GF. I asked my waitress her opinion - GF chicken tenders or a burger, what’s better? She said it was a tough choice, but that she never gets chicken tenders anywhere else so I went with that. They were definitely good, but nothing special to write home about - I’m 99% sure I have bought them before from the grocery store (they’re cornmeal crusted). French fries were okay, typical fast food fries. Portions are HUMONGOUS- especially the fries (they say unlimited refills on fries, I barely got through 1/3 of what came with the chicken). Also made the mistake of getting a root beer float, which was delicious, but also big enough for 2-3 people to share. Overall a great value for the money.

I have been going here for years. Owners have a family member that has Celiac. They are very careful, have dedicated fryer and kitchen space. They also have dairy free milkshakes.

Menu is clearly labeled with many allergen friendly options. Lactose free shakes, many gluten free options, including multiple choices of GF bun for burgers. Dedicated prep areas for shakes, fries, and burgers alike. A very pleasant dining experience.
Yes
I am surprised that this place gets so many 5-star reviews, as my experience was quite different. I am even hesitant to mark this as celiac-friendly. The staff was slow and reluctant to tell me that anything was gluten-free for liability reasons. I was just handed binders with the ingredients for the menu items that I was interested in. This worked to a certain degree, until I wanted to order a milkshake, and I had to deduce what syrups were used in addition to the ice cream for which I was shown the ingredients. I took the risk and had the milkshake, although I couldn't be 100% sure what was in it and whether it was safe. The large portion of fries that I also had was more than enough for 2 people, probably more for 4, but the dip amount that it came with was way too small. This place was okay, but I won't be eating here again. There are more tasty and safer options in the Portland area.
Absolutely the best kind of place. Great hometown restaurant with great staff, cool decor, and a genuine concern for your experience. Best diner food for GF hands down, and for my taste best against non-GF, too. If you have a kiddo who is GF, this is a great treat. We've been talking our celiac here for years and never had an issue.
GF chicken fingers! Such a treat.

Delicious chicken strips & hand cut fries. Accommodating for those with Celiac. Even have gluten free beer options.
Yes
Absolutely amazing food although will have to admit a bit pricey. They had lactose free shakes & really good chicken strips! The gf brownie was super small though so I wouldn’t buy that again. Would definitely recommend!!

Very educated about food allergies. Awesome food. Love this place!
Everyone knew what Celiac was and out good was amazing! Hole-in-the-wall place but has the best food! Definitely will come back!

One of our favorite places! The owners are very friendly and the food is delicious. GF fryer and bottomless fries.
great place, celiac friendly. I've eaten here 15+ times and have never had an issue. the owner is very friendly, food is great.
This was my favorite burger in the metro area before I was diagnosed. Love that I can keep going! Knowledgable staff. Grass-fed beef (with other meats available - even GF chicken tenders but I've never tried them), my favorite hand-cut fries in the world, fabulous milkshakes and TWO choices of GF buns. Who offers that?! I like Jensen's best, but Udi's its available too. Your whole party will love this place.

This place is amazing! No other word will do. Hands down, my favorite restaurant.
It was the first and only 50s diner style restaurant. They are very friendly and willing to accommodate. Our server worked to help us and then the owner came out to talk with us too. Don't expect them to know what on the menu is gluten free though. They have a binder of all of the labels for everything they serve so I was able to look into every part of my meal to be sure it was safe and they did a good job of avoiding cc. The owner brought out some free fries while I was reading all the labels which was nice, and they were really good.

Consistently excellent with allergy awareness. Gluten free fryer. Delicious burgers. They have 5 gf beers which is impressive.

This place seems like it's out of the way, but really it's only minutes from Beaverton or Hillsboro. The short drive from there, through the rolling farm land is a beautiful one. The food is worth the forty-five minute drive we take to get there.
The burgers are hand made, fresh, expertly seasoned, and delicious. They have gluten free buns. I can eat the fries. They have a back patio where our dog is welcome. The food is excellent. The service is excellent. The only ding I can give is I wish they were open more days of the week. They are closed Mon and Tues. I bet there's not enough business to warrant staying open. I'm sure I'm not the only one who wishes they were closer to where I live as well, but they can't be close to everyone.
They have hand made, real ice cream, milk shakes! They have bison and fish! They use locally raised, pasture grown beef. They have microbrews or gluten free beer for those who partake, or organic coffee on the other end of the spectrum. They have something I have seen at no other full service restaurant: a gluten free brownie sundae!!!
They have friendly servers. They are the best burger joint around. Not only do they have well crafted food, they accommodate my dysfunctional digestive system.
Yummy, tasty, good! This really is as good as it gets.

This is THE go-to diner for Celiacs. In addition to great GF diner food, they also have reasonably priced GF beer! Portion sizes are generous and it's very kid friendly. Can't recommended highly enough!
This is my favorite place for an awesome burger, fries, and milkshake! They have so many gf and df options.

Another great burger and one of the best ciders I've ever had. Dedicated fryer and they're very careful. They're also happy to show you ingredients of pretty much anything they serve.

This should be mainstay on your gf restaurant list. Great food, fun decor, good service. Been here dozens of times and never been sick. Dedicated gf fryer, gf buns. Get the root beer! Also have lactose free milkshakes. It is worth the drive.
They use Jensons buns that I think are far better than Udis and they only serve gf chicken strips. They are so good people can't tell. Great service and they seen very knowledgeable about gf procedures.
Yes
wow. a place like this makes our 5-year-old celiac feel almost normal. her gf chicken strips have always been perfect. we can all eat gf and share and be happy here.
All in all it was good and I love how it's all GF. However, one of my daughters chicken nuggets was not cooked fully and we have not been in since.
Great GF options. Burgers made from grass fed beef raised locally by the owner. All fries are GF. Good burgers made from good quality ingredients. They use Jensen's buns for those looking for gf options. Friendly staff and good service.
Yummy burgers. Owner very friendly and helpful.
Absolutely the best burger in Portland! They even have GF chicken strips, chili, and the best sweet potato fries!
