I used to eat at the Culver's in Lake Nona and never got sick. After eating at this location, I got horribly sick and will never go back to a Culver's again! Too risky. Super disappointed.
I looked so forward to eating here as I have heard nothing but great about this place. We walked in and went up to the counter and inquired about if the place was gluten-free. The girl said yes we have gluten-free buns. I inquired about the fries the fries are cooked in the same oil as gluten products. I didn’t even give it a chance I walked right back out that door. Very very disappointed
No
I love that I can actually have a Burger with a Gluten free bun, somewhere fast. Hey enjoy the fries. I feel they do a great job at keeping my GF food safe. I really enjoy Culvers.
I go to this Culvers and the one in winter garden on a regular basis. They are very knowledgeable and careful with gluten free items and cross contamination. They have a dedicated fryer for fries although there may be filtered oil from the other fryer so if you are super sensitive I would order one of the the other gluten safe sides. All burgers and sandwiches can be served on a gluten free bun which is pretty tasty.
Yes
Much like almost all Culver's Restaurants in the midwest, this one is very knowledgeable about Celiac's and cross-contamination. They do a great job of noting a food allergy, and the burger comes with a gluten-free bun that my son (who has CD) says is very good. You can also get mashed potatoes and other sides. All in all Culver's is always one of our saving graces when trying to find a safe place to eat!
Yes
They have a list of dishes without gluten - mostly salads. Very limited choices.
I went about a month after they opened... after I told them I had celiac disease and needed to be gluten free I got that same look of confusion that I am getting used to it many places. so I ended up getting ice cream and nothing else.
No
Gluten free options are any burger and grilled chicken. Includes gluten-free buns and fries.
Yes
Staff had no idea what I meant when I said "celiac." *cue eyeroll* ugh. Then I asked if has a dedicated gf fryer & staff member said, "Ummmmm, let me check?" Already knew how this was going @ this point. Staff came back & reported no....so I bolted, bc no dedicated fryer & no idea what celiac or gluten is? No thank youuu! #notceliacsafe

I had researched my options prior to coming. I informed the employee taking orders that I had a gluten allergy (easiest way to explain quickly). He clearly had been trained on what to do to flag my order. He informed me they had a gluten free bun rather than having to go gluten free (let's be honest...no bun is better sometimes). They had a sign posted on the menu asking for to be notified of allergies. When my food was brought out they advised me mine was being cooked and brought separately for my protection.

Culver’s is my go to, always! I get a burger typically with the gluten free bun that is packaged separately. They also steam it so it is not cold and crumbly. I would ask if the fries are fried in a dedicated fryer because some locations do and some do not. Staff are always so kind about dietary restrictions too and are knowledgeable.

Ate a cheeseburger with the separate GF bun here, gave the whole celiac spiel and had an allergy alert on my order. Felt somewhat sick for a day after like I’d been cross-contaminated, which sucks since Culver’s is usually so good. I went right after the eclipse so they were super busy and I’m guessing there was a lapse in protocol. I’m sure they are usually good based on other reviews but probably best to avoid when they’re in a big rush.
