Our waitress was very knowledgeable on GF options and have separate menu. Since they dont have a dedicated fryer the fries were not an option even though it's on the GF menu. They did say the chips are not cooked on location so that is okay. The Honey Do Chicken was great, chose not to get the bun.

They did have a gluten free menu but anything fried is a shared fryer. Excited that my daughter had another place to get a gluten free burger but no chips were available, would have been fine with a small bag of gf chips. The fact that they charge you $5.99 in addition to the meal for a gluten free bun is pretty expensive.

Had a great dinner at Dead Freddie’s. Our server was great and I was impressed by the GF menu. Many options not just burgers on a GF bun. I would definitely go back. My kids also loved the pirate playground there.

Menu is very limited due to covid. Pretty much only burgers and they were out of gf buns.
Waitress brought me the GF menu, which had a good selection. Felt good after eating there.

They had gluten free buns. Our waitress Caity was great! As long as you know what your allergy limits are, you can find something to eat here. I can’t handle cross contamination, and had no reaction after.

So they have a gluten sensitive menu but it says that everything on the menu could be cross contaminated, there was no distinction as to what was actually safe to eat. It just says eat at your own caution. I would not recommend eating here if you have celiac

Decided to give it a try. When we stated our daughter was GF the waitress immediately went to get their GF menu. Right away I noticed it was a “gluten friendly” menu, not gluten free. It’s just like De Lazy Lizard. They use the same fryers for GF and gluten containing items. So it was a hard no for us and our daughter.

GF menu yes, but NOT celiac safe. Fryers shared, and does not appear to be a protocol to avoid cross-contamination. This menu is meant for those choosing to not eat gluten.
I was so impressed with the gluten free menu as there were so many choices! We have a gluten allergy in our family. However, our server had no knowledge whatsoever. I asked if the fries were fried with other items that had gluten and she glanced at the menu and assumed they were fine since they were on the menu. Then I saw on the bottom of the back of the menu that fries were fried with all gluten items. The gluten free items on the menu are served with chips (also fried in the same fryer). I asked to speak with a manager and was told the manager said that if I wasn't 100% sure an item wasn't gluten free then we shouldn't eat it. They will not make any accommodations in the kitchen for you. So basically, yes there is a gluten free menu which would be fine if you are choosing not to eat gluten voluntarily. However if you have an allergy, the menu is very misleading and not celiac safe.

There is a gluten free menu. Food was okay. Heavy on the sodium.
Awesome food. They have a dedicated gf menu.
Yes
Food was good. I had the jerk chicken and mashed potatoes. The disclaimer had me a bit apprehensive as they don’t seem too willing to make any adjustments for cross-contamination. However, I didn’t get sick and I am very gluten sensitive!
If I could give 0 stars I would. Reading from this app and their website, we were REALLY excited to try this place. Never again. We frequent OC, and with having celiac disease its not easy finding affordable places. Online they boast a gluten free menu, but when you get to the restaurant, it's "allergen friendly" and lists every allergen on the back. There are less then a handful of choices to safely have. Don't waste your time or money.

Let me begin that we eat out at restaurants through the country despite our 6 y/o having both Celiac Disease (must avoid gluten) as well as multiple food allergies—all nuts (including shared cooking surfaces/manufacturing lines), egg, and soy protein (oil and lecithin are fine). We know to only order our daughter’s meal from a manager or chef and carry chef allergy cards they may keep back in the kitchen while preparing food. I consider ya seasoned diners with realistic expectations considering the restrictions within which she must eat. We don’t always require separate cooking ovens but do require certain protocols to ensure safety. When calling ahead and speaking directly to management today to assess safety of menu items, I was told they can not cater to one person’s needs! When I explained we did NOT expect fries (ie dedicated fryer) but were seeking only a safely prepared burger (no bun as I could bring my own), a steak, or chicken breast, I was rudely told this was not possible. I explained I understood separate grills might not be available but asked if they couldn’t just double wrap a meat (a restaurant standby) and then unwrap the outer layer with contaminants on it to plate it (or to allow me to) I was met with total resistance. So, I basically stayed, “so, this is not a place wheee you will make any accommodations,” he responded No! I thanked him for his honesty and ended the call swearing to never patronize this place when other credible options in the area are nearby. Really disappointed with the ignorance and may progress over my immediate frustration to proceed to speaking with another manager who might be more approachable. We have a family home in the area and would like to expand our dining options. This gentleman was not interested and rude! A shame some people are so ignorant.

Reasonably priced good family fair with friendly staff. All items on the menu listed on the allergy menu with categories for gluten, dairy and soy. Gluten free bread not available.
Food was not good but it didn't make me sick. Waiter said the kitchen staff have been terrible this summer.
Largest gluten free menu I have seen in a long time Wings, apps, buns, cheeseburgers One of my favorites

The fryer isn't dedicated, so when I asked to substitute veggies for the chips and pasta salad, they charged me to add it. Most expensive chicken sandwich I ever had. $24 for sandwich with gluten free bun and veggies. Food was good, but not $24 good.
Great experience. Prices are high, even for gluten free but overall we walked away without vomit or any digestive issues. Our waiter was very knowledgeable. Also, we didn't eat the fries since they share fryers.
A gluten free menu but no dedicated fryer

If your have Cecilia's don't eat here

This place is awesome!! We had a great experience and our waiter Dylan was very knowledgeable and friendly. I had the crab soup, jerk chicken, a honey chicken sandwich with French fries and had no problems(I am very gluten sensitive) we will be coming back soon!!
We eat here every time we visit OC! They were very accommodating and new which sauces contained gluten. Their menu clearly states which items are gluten free. The food is delicious also!!!
I had the wings and Freddies fries. They were really good. I will be back again!
Very bad experience! They have no idea how to be Gluten Free!!!
