2nd time ordering here that they have put bread on top of my food. They also tried to serve me the soup which has gluten in it. Little to no training for employees on gluten free precautions.

Has a gluten free menu. I order grilled chicken tenders, hasbrowns, and grilled zucchini. My daughter and I love the grilled zucchini. Their specialty soup is NOT GF. Neither are their rolls, but they offer a salad you can choose instead of soup. The salad is very basic. Lettuce and dressing of choice. Always delicious food. Since covid, there have been some staffing issues, so go with patience. Demos is a popular local spot!

I have gotten sick both times I have ate there and ordered gluten free pasta. I ordered sauces the gluten free menu said were safe.

It was wonderful and so very nice to go somewhere that actually seemed to understand the importance of my food having to be gluten free. I had the Ribeye, baked potato and a side salad. The steak was cooked to perfection (medium) and the potato was just right as well. I will be back next time we are anywhere close!

I ordered takeout from their GLUTEN FREE MENU. There were decent choices. I had Cajun chicken tenders with broccoli. It came with a small salad, just lettuce and shredded carrots. The chicken was tender and tasty. The broccoli had butter on it. I like that but I’m mentioning it in case you don’t. He got a chicken sandwich that he said was very good (not GF). The only snag was that they put a roll in the box with my meal. As it was wrapped in paper and had its own compartment in the takeout box, I felt that it wasn’t a problem. If you decide to eat here, just be super clear about separating the bread etc. The person who served me was cheerful and eager to please. He even called the kitchen on his little radio thingy to tell them that my meal should be GF.
I went to the Lebanon, TN location and had a wonderful experience. This was my first time ordering the gluten free pasta, so I had a few questions. Deborah answered them all very kindly. She even double checked back at the kitchen and saved me from getting sick. I had originally ordered the meat sauce one, but she said it wasn’t gluten free. Apparently only two sauces are gluten free, the blackened chicken and the chilli. There are also two different types of noodles you can order, fettuccine and another one that is similar to angel hair(can’t remember the name). Just make sure you double check with the waiter that your pasta looks like the gluten free version! :)
Yes
They have a gluten free menu. And they even have gluten free pasta option— but my pasta originally came out made with gluten pasta, and I could immediately see the difference thankfully! So I asked them to double check with the kitchen again before I ate it. The manager and server came back out with a new GF one and sincere apologies and wanted to make sure I hadn’t eaten the first one and would be ok. This was in Lebanon, TN, a smaller town where they’re still getting used to GF people. So the fact that they have GF menu at all is a huge improvement. They are trying! I would say true celiac be very very careful.... I am gluten intolerant. They also showed me their entire allergen-based menu for foods with dairy, MSG, etc. in addition to gluten, which was so helpful, as I’m also lactose-intolerant. All in all, it was a good experience, and I’ll give them more chances.
We visited Demos last Saturday night on the way through Nashville. Although the wait staff didn’t understand GF (she thought rice contained Gluten), they had a complete GF menu and the kitchen was able to answer our concerns about cross-contamination. My son has Celiac Disease and ordered the Sirloin steak, salad with balsamic dressing and the stuffed potato. He didn’t get sick and the food was good quality. We’ve eaten here a few times over the years and have had no issues. It’s a good place and safe for Celiacs, IMO.
Yes
Had steak salad - meat super salty and hardly any greens - didn’t get sick - but definitely cross contamination 😔
No
They have GF menu, lots of options. Waitress not aware of what gluten was/or difference between gluten & dairy...but took no chances & checked with staff. Did not get sick; be sure to express if Celiac or severe allergy.
My daughter loves their soup and salad. Never had an issue. They do have other GF menu items, just ask.
Gluten free menu and manager supervised the preparation of our meal. Very impressed!
Yes

I had the bacon wrapped (or topped rather) beef filet! It had good flavor and was perfectly tender. Morning sickness got in the way of finishing it, but my husband had no problems polishing it off for me! I also had a salad with Greek dressing which was good, and the gluten free spaghetti with Alfredo. It was very good and I haven’t had any reaction and it’s 24 hours later.
I learned about Demos’ gluten free options from this app-so thank you!! I have been there twice, ordered gluten free for myself and my entire family. The food was delicious and the staff were all amazing and helpful. This is going to be one of our go to places.
