I got violently ill after eating here: I would not recommend the DoG Tavern. Plain burger on GF bun- they may have had fillers or seasonings. I told our server about my food intolerances, but the kitchen clearly was not careful.
Food wasn't terrible, but not great.

I eat there all of the time (now my favorite hot spot). The “Brick chicken” is gluten free and tastes amazing.

They have a gluten free bun for burgers. Items on menu clearly labeled.
Excellent service and celiac safe. Pub fries are in a dedicated fryer and gf rolls for sandwiches are delicious.

Menu was labeled with GF options. Our server had no idea. The fries are salt and malt vinegar but labeled as GF, which confused me. The server didn’t know if they had a separate fryer. I had an omelette that was very good. My daughter had a burger which was quite good. The gf bun was excellent. Neither of us got sick, so things must have been ok. Just a little questionable with the staff knowledge.
Very courteous and the fastest service ever! My husband and I ordered and had all of our food within five minutes! Wings were crisp and spicy and perfect mixture! Lots of gluten free beers as well!

The staff don’t know about celiac ... i have to ask a lot of questions ... and i eat and i’m not sure

I asked about GF options before entering the restaurant, was told they had many options but had just changed the menu so they weren't sure what they were. That should've been my first clue. The waiter seemed well informed about GF options and I placed my order (pulled pork with no bun, GF French fries (said they had dedicated fryer) and deviled eggs). When my order came it wasn't what I ordered, it was pub chicken with no bun. The deviled eggs were sitting on bread. When I mentioned it to the server he took it away and quickly brought back one with no bread. I explained the allergy and he said they made me a whole new plate. I doubted they could make a whole new plate in 45 seconds so I didn't eat them. The gluten free French fries were identical in seasonings and taste/texture as the ones my gluten eating friends had. They tasted them and said they seemed the same, I also opted not to eat them just to be safe. There was definite confusion among the staff and there was no manager to be found to discuss these issues with. It made for a very embarrassing situation for myself and was quite disappointing.

great experience! i asked a ton of questions and settled on the mussels and a cider off the tap!
Knowledgeable on GF options and it was a good experience.
Do not trust them for gluten free! We went for lunch on my husband's birthday. Not a lot of GF options for lunch, so I got a burger without a bun. I made it clear to the waiter that I was celiac. The burger was brought on a bun! And when I made them aware they took it away, only to be brought back minutes later (which i had a feeling they would try to do...clearly before there was time to cook another burger) As if it weren't obvious enough, it came back with a piece of the bun still on the plate. This was not our original waiter handling all this, but a food runner. I sent it back again, and the waiter came over and apologized and had a new one made, which I was "assured" was GF. The manager came out and apologized and they comped my meal,(which is more than most places do when I've been in similar situations before) but it's obviously not about the money. It's about my health, so I wouldn't eat there if you need it to be GF.
No
Server Clinton was helpful I enjoyed the food had the BBQ chicken thighs, house made Jerky and fried tomatoes made up for not having any starches. There were other choices also available
Good options I got brick chicken . Server was nice but not confident about gf
Good food options, although marking them clearly on the menu would be much more helpful (currently, you have to ask the server or host). Staff needs more solid training too, although they were better than average - just make sure you ask questions. They initially served me fries (no gluten ingredients, but shared fryer). Glad I did ask to make sure, but they were nice about replacing with another side. My meal itself was very good.
