I was absolutely blown away with Doug's Day Diner in Loveland. The manager was extremely helpful and understanding. I talked to her about my celiac needs and she told me that her children have dietary restrictions as well and therefore completely understood my concern for food prep and need for assurance that the food will be prepped, cooked, and served 100% gluten free. And then there was Ali, our waitress. She was just phenomenal. And she took all the care needed to ensure my food was completely gluten free and had such a wonderful and cheerful attitude. I had the Papas - Cowboy and it was sooo good. And even better, I had zero reaction! 👏 I will definitely return here. If you go, just be sure to let them know of your need for gluten free, especially if celiac, and you should be good! **They have gluten free bread BUT they don't have a dedicated gluten free toaster so stay clear of the toast if you are celiac or just need 100% gluten free. (They were very quick to tell me this, which was very appreciated.)

Eggs are naturally gluten free so the basic breakfast with two eggs, bacon, hash browns and gluten free toast is an option here. Nothing marked gluten free on menu. You need to ask for gluten free toast.

Great food! Everything cooked separately. They did accidentally put an English muffin on my plate, but quickly corrected it, remaking my meal on an entirely new plate. I will be back!

Told by staff when I walked in not a single safe thing on menu. Even toast is same toaster
Doug’s has been our go-to breakfast and brunch place for years. My boyfriend’s family comes here for every family event, and always super early to avoid the crazy lines on weekends! I’m a simple breakfast person so I don’t get their fancier dishes, but I love a simple eggs, bacon, and hash browns, or an omelette. I appreciate their willingness to change gloves and cook in a separate area to accommodate my gluten allergy. They don’t have gluten free bread, but you can get corn tortillas as the “grain” side with most dishes. The coffee is great and service is always extremely friendly and welcoming. Even when they’re slammed, we never have to wait long for our food to arrive. My boyfriend loves the biscuits & gravy and pretty much everything else he’s tried. Prices are great, too!

I have celiac and have never had an issue with the food here. As long as you stay away from the obvious foods I would say you are safe.
I had high hopes for this after the reading the review and talking to the front receptionist. The food was good and the portion was large. Unfortunately I got majorly glutened. Worse that I can remember for a long time. I will likely try it again but this time go during a slow time during the week. During a busy weekend (sat. morning) I think my food order got lost in the shuffle and I got a majorly cross contaminated meal.
Great omelettes. Salads are also good. Large portions. Fresh ingredients & majority is homemade. Ali, the owner is great, as well as servers (Michelle, Lauren, Amanda).
