We came back after a year absence and they had gotten worse. They didn't understand the meaning of "Im allergic to gluten" and slapped a big ol hunk of toast on the plate (crumbs going everywhere). We tried to work around it but still had a reaction. They now charge you an automatic 20% gratuity... Which seems pretty aweful... It's like we are saying "thank you for ruining our vacation by causing migraines and stomach issues for the next couple of weeks. And here's a tip for a job well done."

GF fish & chips were amazing! I live 2 hours away from this restaurant and I’ve been thinking about going on another road trip just to come back. Some of the best GF food I’ve ever had and I’ve been celiac for 14 years now. Definitely recommend!

Menu was at least 80% gluten free. I did not ask about dedicated workspace etc as I am not celiac. Food was delicious! Staff were excellent. Why does this venue have 3 $$$? We thought the prices were very reasonable.

Simply awful GF safety. Wife got horribly sick after having an Omelette! AN OMELETTE! One of the safest and easiest items to be GF friendly about. The waitress did no favors either.

Wife: "Can I get a Gluten Free Omelette? I am celiac."

Waitress: "Sure thing. Would you like toast with that?"

Wife: "No... I can't have toast."

Waitress: "Are you sure? Because the toast is really good."

I have been here several times now and all have been great experiences. The staff has been incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. They have a great GF bun for their burgers or crab melt. Try the Zoe burger with Brie cheese and apple chutney, so good! I love that I can have clam chowder, crab cakes, chicken and waffles, crispy fries, fish tacos and more! I have to say at this point it’s my favorite restaurant as there are just so many options to choose from.

Food was good, the outdoor seating really nice. Staff was friendly and understood the basics about cross-contamination with regard to a shared fryer, but I'd still order conservatively in terms of safety. I had salmon and veggies with the side of fries subbed with roasted potatoes.

I’ve travelled far and wide and this is truly one of the BEST GF places in all of Oregon. Tons and tons of options! Fresh ingredients, beautiful, relaxing, eclectic environment, frequent live music, great drinks (alcoholic and otherwise) and the most delicious food! And have I mentioned the desserts?!? GF pie, brownie sundaes, creme brûlée and more!!! Plus the hotel rooms are uniquely themed and so comfortable. I’ve gone here for girls trips as well as solo staycations just to get out of the city. Can’t say enough good things. Just go here!

I’ve eaten here so many times — it’s one of the best restaurants for gf I’ve ever been to! The menu is clearly labeled AND the waitstaff and trained and the cook staff take precautions to avoid cross contamination. Plus everything I’ve had here is delicious but the crab cakes are DIVINE. The crepes are great, too.

Drop everything & eat here. I am so shocked! We were not sure what to expect. We were seated in the heated/covered outdoor seating, really beautiful interior, live but not loud music. The food was great, about half of the menu is glurwn free. I had steak, potato, veggies & tomato basil soup. 4 or 5 dessert options including peach pie! No reactions at all, and had a wonderful meal. Loved the atmosphere and will be going back!

Great customer service and knowledgeable servers. Really good food best place in Yachats for a celiac. The enchiladas are made in a separate container so they are super safe and really good! Don’t go to Leroys Blue Whale it’s not safe. Go here!

I had fish and chips and the halibut was great! They did say it’s not a dedicated fryer but they don’t fry much of anything that isn’t gluten free. They also had GF Persian bowl and GF teriyaki bowl, plus pizza. And a GF beer on tap, so I had lots to like. Plus a GF brownie ala mode for desert.

First time we went here they were great and the food was decent. The second time it was about 6 out of 10 compared to the first time. Third time it was 3 out of 10 with a reaction to gluten and still frozen food on the plate (fries were still frozen and cold). This last time we would give it a 1 out of 10 because we ordered a gluten free omlet and told them it was an allergy and they slapped a big ol hunk of toast on the plate. We have never had a reaction from an omlet before. We also overheard the waitress joking around about how the menu isn't even accurate to what they put in the food.

Their food was delicious and they were very careful about cross contamination. I had a burger and went with lettuce instead of gf bun because they bake non gf in the same kitchen, but it was delicious. I even went back a second time for breakfast and had their crepes which they made in a separate pan.

They do not have a dedicated fryer which made me lose confidence despite the positive reviews. Ended up getting a burger no bun with salad which was fine + I felt fine after. Really lovely outdoor seating area.

We ordered the Clam Chowder (traditional flavor, mostly potatoes, could've used more veg & clams), Cesar Salad with Crab (outstanding...the romaine was grilled, the dressing was delicious), and the Halibut and Chips (the batter was thicker than a lot of gf Fish & Chips, and the Halibut was SO GOOD; the tarter sauce was not great, but the fish was SO GOOD that it didn't need the sauce).

We will eat here again!

Had dinner there tonight. Fabulous experience and food! Live acoustic music in the evenings. GF and VG options were plentiful. We had the pizza -YUM! They make their own GF crust so not the typical frozen thin thing usually offered at restaurants. 4 GF dessert options! I had the brownie sunday which was decadent. Staff was efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. My sister is celiac, and recommended it, and she rarely risks restaurants unless they are a GF only place.

We were based ten miles up the coast in Waldport and came here EVERY day for a week. For breakfast it was great... the Eggs Benedict, the Steak and Eggs and the Chicken and Gravy were all spectacular. We came here for dinner, the seafood broth and the burgers were great, the fish and chips were AMAZING! And best of all for me, there were loads of options for gluten-free and nothing felt like a compromise. Everything was a treat. If I could give the Drift Inn ten stars, it wouldn't be enough.

Had fabulous breakfast crepes with pears, huckleberries and hazelnuts. Serving was three large crepes, more than I could eat and delicious. Service was friendly and quick. Keep thinking about those crepes, definitely will return.

The food here was excellent! There were so many gluten free options and they were clearly indicated on the menu. Both my non-celiac husband and I ate here multiple times during our visit and loved everything we ate. Awesome service too!

Loved this place! Had jalapeño poppers, Gorgonzola steak and creek brûlée with no reactions. The fryer is shared so I avoided the fries but the sever was extremely friendly and knowledgeable- he went and grabbed ingredient lists several times so we could check. He said the chef was Celiac so they were super aware of cross contamination. Great atmosphere, live music, yummy cocktails!

BEWARE OF THE MENU AND ASK QUESTIONS!! It marks items like fish and chips as gluten-free but our waitress told us it is not a dedicated fryer. She was knowledgeable though and made sure my meal was gluten free. Great food. We ate there several times for breakfast and dinner.

Down one star for marking items as gluten free when they are clearly not based on our conversation with the waitress. Usually we have the opposite problem: items (or the entire menu) not marked as gluten free because of the slight risk of cross contamination and concern over lawsuits.

Very celiac friendly! I have eaten here multiple times on several different trips to Yachats and have NEVER felt sick and the food is soooo good:) Also fabulous customer service and atmosphere.

Ummm...where do I begin? First of all, gf beer on tap!!! Then tons of gf fried fish options! This is heaven for people who love seafood!!

A fun place to eat with a good variety of GF items to choose from. I had the crab cakes and bowl of clam chowder. The crab cake were very good. The Clam Chowder was a little thin, but with great flavor. Note of caution with the Fish & Chips with GF Beer Batter is prepared in a shared fryer. If they had a dedicated GF fryer I would have given them 5 Stars.

The staff was fairly well informed and when I explained how severe celiac disease is for me he brought out the manager. She told me that they sprinkle flour on the French fries and therefore nothing fried was celiac safe, since they only had one fryer. However their waffles and crepes were completely gluten free and safe along with many traditional things such as burgers, salads, etc. They even have crab cakes and clam chowder that are safe! Overall really great place with people who seem like they really care about not making us sick.

The crab cakes are no longer GF, but the GF bread with crab cakes was delicious. The side salad with the lemon vinaigrette was awesome.

I got the wild caught halibut with a side of chowder and sweet potatoes fries. It was excellent and the portion sent me home with food in a box. The service was awesome and more than half of the menu was naturally gluten free. They had a local musician playing nice music and the ambiance of the restaurant is really cool.

came here for lunch and it was so incredible I came back for dinner. everything we had was amazing. seafood chowder, corn chowder. the ginger vinegrette salad dressing was fantastic but the lemon vinegrette I had on my dinner salad was even better. Gluten free crab cakes rock. the artist entree was incredible. the halibut crusted with Dungeness. I'm going to have the chocolate rum mousse for dessert.

Giving this a three because the atmosphere and live music was fun. My teriyaki chicken was extremely oily and had big strings of ginger. I'd probably go back and try something else. My husband really enjoyed his seafood stew.

I highly recommend the Seafood Stew with sweet potato French fries (for dipping, instead of bread).
