The dish I ordered was identified as GF and soy free. Threw-up after 15 minutes of starting to eat.

Manager showed me printed receipt; dish I ordered had been rung-in as gluten-free and soy free. Manager was not able to explain or identify where the: wheat, gluten, or soy had been an ingredient.

- Food (prior to throwing-up) was just okay. (One year ago it was fantastic.)

- The eggs on a hollendaise dish was overcooked and approaching a state of being hard-boiled.

- Attempted to order a dish that I had ordered a year ago (basically a skillet breakfast hash dish that was delicious) and was told by the server that there was "a different chef" and that dish could not be ordered or prepared any longer.

- The eggs on another hollandaise dish ordered by another person in our party was also over-cooked; their fish was also over-cooked.

- The crumpet that served as the base of the hollandaise dish had not being toasted/baked/heated in any way, so it made the dish very chewy.

It took forever for someone to wait on us. Then I ordered Canadian Fish & Chips which the menu states is gf. I started having pain within a half hour of eating. Pretty bummed eapecially considering the price (C$25 for the dish).

The server we had was super knowledgeable (corrected and assured us that the hostess was, in fact, wrong about the deep fryer not being celiac friendly). Had the gluten free fish and chips and they were amazing (and they DO have a dedicated deep fryer)!! I didn’t get sick at all.

Excellent food with great atmosphere!! Gluten free Fish & Chips on the Lunch Menu until 3PM. Everything on the menu seems to be GF. Update: We ate here tonight. Had gluten free Fish & Chips (see photo) and Grilled Salmon with Fried Potatoes. Both were fantastic!! We think this is the best restaurant on Granville Island.

Super knowledgable staff, delicious food, and even have a dedicated fryer for French fries. I had the falafel bowl and it was delicious!!! We'll be back.

I told the waiter I had celiac and they told me the owner does too! Very knowledgeable, many gf options. Had a kale salad and sausage and eggs, both were excellent as was the amaretto chai cocktail!

I love that they have gluten free options but I feel like I get a little bit sick each time. I think maybe they aren't properly trained in cc. I'm really sensitive though so if you're not you might be okay.

They seem to employ people who are passionate and positive and will say the owner is Celiac, however, I have been glutened by them a couple of times as I don’t think everyone is properly trianed in gluten free knowledge. I also have heard from 2 servers theat the do sometimes put gluten in the fryer.

I ate here two times while on vacation and it was by far my favourite dining experience. The owner has celiacs disease so there is a dedicated deep fried for fish and chips and they are very aware of cross contamination. Lovely location, fast and friendly service and delicious food.

Gluten free options are clearly marked on the menu for easy ordering. We got the fish & chips and mussels & chips. They use a GF batter, so that was an awesome change for us. The food was really good (mussels were slightly better and more flavorful than the fish), and the service was OK. We would for sure go back if we had the opportunity.

Located right outside the public market on Granville Island is the sensational Edible Canada restaurant, where most of the menu is naturally gluten-free or can easily be converted without changing the integrity of the dish.

I was so excited about the fish and chips option and it was very good. However, I am 100% certain that they don't use a dedicated fryer. I got very sick after eating here and wouldn't recommend it for anyone with celiacs. It's too bad as the food was good and service was great but not worth the aftermath.

Wonderful restaurant. The fish and chips were amazing. It's very hard to have gluten free breaded fish so it was a treat! The server we had was the only issue he forgot things and was very slow. But a great overall experience. A must to try on Granville island.

From calling, to walking through the door and through dinner, staff was amazing! We had the gluten free fish and chips, made with rice flour. They made a fresh batter for the fish to make sure there was no cross contamination. The fries were cooked in duck fat. It was so good!!! They offered gluten free desserts, but they contained nuts and my daughter is allergic. Great experience, make a reservation, they are busy.

We called ahead and gave them a list of our groups allergies. They called back shortly and let us know they had items for everyone. When we got there they had a menu showing what each of us could eat that was rather extensive.

The food was great and the staff were very helpful. The chef even made the menu for us.

I will definitely be going back.
