I'm not from Utah - but love to stop here when in town. They do an AMAZING job and I've never been concerned about being "glutened" here. Keep up the great work!
Dedicated GF bakery with sandwiches, soups, pizza too. Worth a stop!
Soup is to die for.
Someone told me this place had Gluten Free options and I went in not knowing the whole place was GF. I asked what items were GF and the cashier was very rude and annoyed by my asking(Sorry, I really didn't know). The turkey sandwich and Cinnamon roll were so delicious, but a little pricy for the portions. I will definitely be back to try it again!
Thank god I don't live too close to this place or I would eat there ALL the time!!! The chicken arepas is the best thing to eat and their soups are fantastic too. Then wrap it all up with one of their brownies or cupcakes and you are set!
Some of the best cupcakes ever!
This place is the real deal!! GF paradise! These people know wheat they are doing. Thank you Eleanor's for being in business.
Omg. So great ordered chicken salad and potato soup . Went back for lunch next day ate ordered food to go also/most awesome lemon bars and cinnamon rolls. Thank you Eleanor's for the best meal on our vacation. Aloha :)
Best gluten free cake I've found.
This place is super fantastic, and the staff was super cool and friendly.. and the food is rediculously good
My favorite place! They have the best bread, love getting lunch here, and hands down cupcakes are the best on the biz!
Excellent lunch! Great tasting desserts. Offered a EF/DF/GF chocolate cupcake that my kids loved.
Pastrami arepa with honey mustard is the way to go!!
The absolute best cupcakes and breads ever! I would go here even if I wasn't GF. Went for the cupcakes, stayed for the soup and sandwiches.
Oh wow! Everything was amazing! Cupcakes, cookies and bread all amazing!!
Eleanor's has by far the best food, service and flavor in the valley! I have brought many friends to eat here who are not GF and they love it. The service is amazing, they are always willing to answer my questions and help me out in any way. I try to come about once a week for lunch to have an arepa and soup. I have not tried a single soup that I dislike. My favorite soup by far is the chicken coconut curry - YUM!
As the daughter of a world-renowned customer service expert and consultant, service is something I prize highly. It's especially important in small businesses. The food at Eleanor's is delicious, but the service is inconsistent. I come back because, no doubt, they have some of the best gluten free baked goods around....but I do so somewhat grudgingly, because they take their customers for granted. Many of the cashiers seem annoyed when they have to interact with customers, and are often inattentive. Everyone has bad days, but I've been here dozens of times, at least once a month for over a year, and sadly not much seems to have changed. That said, one of the most important facets of customer service is how a business apologizes to its customers. Today I brought in a coupon from the Gluten Free Expo that I didn't realize was several days expired. The cashier did not honor it, which is ok, but something a disappointment. While we were eating, a very kind lady named Sue stopped by to apologize and offered me a free dessert (which the coupon was for with purchase of a loaf of bread.) It was a very unexpected and welcome gesture. I would love to see more of that kind of awesome service in the future! Hopefully Eleanor's can turn over a new leaf and my next review would definitely reflect that improvement. :) I have a lot of hope after today.
The hours are a bit weird, but I think it's due to location. Honey oat bread is awesome. I've never made it home without eating several pieces while in the car. Love that they are knowledgeable about other restrictions as well.
While visiting my friends I had the opportunity to eat at Eleanor's Bake shop. The food was amazing. Their cakes are beautiful and delicious as well.
I've absolutely loved everything I've tried. Mostly I get baked goodies, but I also have a soft spot for arepas. Love having a gluten free bakery with no risk of contamination.
They have good pastries and amazing honey oat bread. It's pricey but so worth it. They sell out quick so make sure to go in the morning.
Tucked back in a corner, don't give up on finding this place. Food is excellent and staff is friendly. A hard find, but worth the effort!
Beautiful and delicious cakes and cupcakes!! You would never know they are GF!
This bakery is Heaven on earth for people suffering with celiac!! The breads are wonderful, the brownies brought a tear to my eye. I love Eleanor's bake shop, the owner is very knowledgeable and friendly.
Love their cake pops and arepa sandwiches. Their cinnamon roll is pretty good as well. Oh yeah and they have good bread as well.
Great place! Gluten free bakery! Great sandwiches and can satisfy appetites of anyone, gluten-free or not
Absolutely fantastic shop!! The good is scrumptious & staff is awesome!! Must go!
I luv the cake pops they are so good 5 stars
So good! Will be back!
Eleanor's is 100% gluten-free, and has been for MANY years since practically their whole family has gluten issues. It is really far away from me and tucked in a back industrial area, so it's hard to find. The staff are really nice and knowledgeable, and most of their food is delicious. I thought with all their breads, their sandwiches would come on bread. Nope. It came on some sort of pita bread, which was not exactly tasty. Their cookies were to die for. Their cake pops were to die for. Their bread is amazing. Their cupcakes are so delicious. Their cakes are disgusting. I bought a birthday cake for myself for my first birthday that my husband was gluten-free, thinking it would taste like the cake pops. Oh no. It was so dry, grainy, bland, and disgusting, we threw it away. And it was so expensive. A tiny cake was over $30. I get it, gf is expensive. But to be so small and nasty, that really upset me. Their bread is amazing, but their cakes ruined it for me.
I love almost everything they make. I don't care for the pizza but I eat a cupcake every time I go!
The cake pops were TO DIE FOR! SO GOOD! I really liked the muffins and the cupcakes that we purchased from here. What's weird is the arepas that they use instead of gluten-free bread for the sandwiches. Although it's tasty and a new way to experience gluten-free lunches - they are very messy, and I'd rather have it wrapped in lettuce or on bread. I think this is a great gem in SLC, but you'll have to travel all the way down to Sandy to find it - wish it was closer to downtown! http://celiacandthebeast.com/2012/08/gluten-free-travel-eleanors-bake-shop/
Love the honey bread and chicken salad sandwich. A ways to drive, but fun to go somewhere with a total gluten free menu with many options. Didnt love fruit tart or muffin I tried, but i'm not a fan of anyones.... The frostings on cupcakes very good.
good food; had an arepa and a cupcake. the last star was taken simply because of price. $2.50+ for a single cupcake settings a bit steep
The food is very good! It is nice to not have to worry about "cross contamination"
love the service and the food! Their cupcakes are my favorite thing on the menu and I usually end up buying at least a half dozen each time I go!
Though completely gluten free I found the food to be sub par, the bread slightly edible and the cupcakes were disgusting.
I can't say enough great things about this place. The family who works there are super friendly and knowledgeable. The food is amazing! what a wonderful place for celiacs. Their pizza is nothing short of amazing and I can't leave there without a cake pop....or two ;)
Very good food. Love having a place to go to eat gluten free.
Their bread and rolls and muffins are delicious! We'll be going there every week!
