Fisherman's Inn

I visited Fishermans Inn 11 years ago, prior to diagnosis, and I loved it! I was thrilled to see it on the FMGF app and with great reviews. We visited Fishermans Inn 2x on our recent vacation and all meals were excellent! Their menu clearly indicates GF items and the majority of the menu is GF.

Our first meals were halibut cheeks and crab cakes and the second meal was prime rib and crab balls.

The waitresses were very knowledgeable and helpful and the service was amazing. I will continue to stop here when traveling in the area

After reading all of the reviews, we were SO excited to go. My wife has Celiac, and we were assured her allergy would not be a problem. She spoke with both our server (who was very nice), AND the manager… who both assured her she’d be fine. When her meal came out, it had two huge slabs of bread on it. Obviously a problem. Not to mention, the entree was nothing even close to what she ordered. Her food had to be remade, and by the time it arrived, we were half done with ours.

Gluten issues aside, I’m just struggling to see the value here. I feel like they’re more interested in selling swag than putting out a good product at a competitive price. At the end of the day, the rest of the food was pretty good, but the value was terrible. Entrees at $30-$40 each… for what? I just don’t get it. Sorry. Buyer beware.

We just had lunch here! The staff was friendly and helpful. Our food was delicious. It is a classic seafood restaurant complete with dark wood and carpet. My husband and daughter have celiac and were totally fine. The menu is clearly marked and they have a designated fryer for French fries. They also have a separate crab shack (outdoor dining for crabs and messier seafood). It looked great but we weren’t sure if they also had a designated fryer for fries. So we ate inside. I definitely recommend it!

This place is amazing! We came here based on the reviews on this app and I’m so glad we did! The menu clearly marks all the GF items and I’d say 90% of their huge menu is GF! Very cool vibe too on the water and a fireplace and model trains circling the restaurant ceiling :)

Dated decor and ambiance but solid seafood food and very conscientious about GF. We ordered a soup, two appetizers, 3 different main dishes and several sides and still had options to choose from. Great service and no hesitation to check with the chef or bring out a photo of an items label if needed.

Had the broiled crab cakes with mashed potatoes and green beans. Very tasty meal. The menu has quite a few GF options. I attached a picture of the menu.

I am Celiac and usually can tell when there has been cross contamination. My husband and I visited on Friday and we ordered the crab cakes (broiled) with baked potatoes to go. The crab cakes were fantastic and the baked potato was as expected. I felt safe with the precautions they took and ended up with no reaction. We will definitely be back.

Love this place! The crab cakes are gf when you get them broiled. Mmmmm. I stop here every time I drive to the beach.

They have grab cakes we can have. This is Maryland seafood at its best with lots of choices for celiac peeps.

I ate at Fisherman’s Inn on 8/1/18. Since I was visiting the area and out of my comfort zone, I called ahead and also spoke to the manager and waitress when I got there. I explained about celiac and cross contamination they answered all of my questions and the waitress did make sure to notify the kitchen so that they took care when preparing my meal. I had a great lunch, a wedge salad and salmon. They did have quite a few GF items on their menu.

So far no reaction! I got a baked potato and corn with twin tail lobster. Seems everything has it's own prep area, too! Made sure the waitress put severe allergy warnings on everything. Delicious food and great service!

I absolutely love eating here. they always have great food and they have always been more than willing to check on something if I have a further question. They are very accommodating. also the gluten free items are marked on the regular menu which makes it easier as well.

Not sure how their crab cakes are gluten free, but they're listed that way! Plenty of options! When I asked the server why the steamed shrimp was not listed as gf, he asked the sous chef who reported that they actually are!

This was an excellent choice for gluten free options. They were clearly marked on the menu and the waitress was knowledgeable on the specials and sides which weren't marked. She even warned me about the rolls which weren't gluten free (I had assumed that, but it was a nice touch). I had the wood grilled salmon with asparagus and a baked potato. But she even told me the french fries were gluten free with their own fryer. This is definitely a place that we will return to.

Gluten free listed on menu for everything but the sides and specials. Staff were happy to check with the kitchen for us. The food was good and there are many options.
