Like most Five Guys, they do a good job. Just make sure to them it's an allergy and watch them prepare. My wife and are celiac. We have never had a problem.

Love their burgers! My daughter cannot have gluten, so I usually order the "low carb" option, which is, without the bun. They also prepare it on a separate grill due to her peanut and tree nut allergies. They also change gloves when preparing her order, but you do have to watch and make sure they always do this.

Their fries are SO GOOD!! And they give you a lot of them. Since they don't have anything with breadcrumbs it's the only thing they have in the fryers. The burgers as well are good. The staff is always nice too.

Stopped for something different! My daughter is celiac's so she ordered burgers in a bowl, got two meat patties and toppings of her choice. Came in separate bag. Fries are only cooked in the dryer and were Amaizing. Could have had burger wrapped in lettuce instead of in a bowl! She was happy!!! Not sure if hotdogs were GF. Nice to know another option in this area of the state!!!

It is nice that they change their gloves but it is obvious that many of the employees don't understand why they are changing them. I had to have them remake a burger once. They understood and made a new one willingly.

They are very accommodating with the burger without a bun and take extra steps of you tell them you have an allergy. DO NOT EAT THE FRIES!!!! I have witnessed workers taking the buns out and without changing gloves putting fries in the fryer contaminating the oil.

I was very sceptical going into this restaurant but they could not have been better! not only did they go above and beyond to make sure the food was safe they really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable with how they were doing it. Also good food and great service outside of being celiac safe!

Fantastic manager. Just mention gluten allergy since it's better understood than Celiac and they'll note special prep.Burger comes tightly wrapped in lettuce and the fries are fried in a dedicated fryer. Five Guys always delivers when you're hungry for something quick.

I heard they were gluten friendly by many people...when I placed my order I asked for GF and he asked if it was allergic to it? I told him I have CD and he announced to the staff and they pleasantly cleaned if an area and cooked my mouth-watering burger! If you can eat iceberg lettuce (I can't) they will wrap the burger in lettuce or they will place it in an aluminum sealed tray! I'm beyond excited that I never got sick!!

If you're gluten intolerant, this is a great option for you. @ Rockville Town Square, the cashier told me she has Celiacs, so she was great to point out that the food is prepped in the same area as gluten food. I've been to 3 different locations & they'll prep your burger without a bun and put it together nicely in a container. I don't feel like I'm losing out on much without the bun. Shakes @ Olney & Mt. Airy.

Offered to change their gloves when asked about cross-contamination but they already had fries in the baskets waiting to be cooked last minute so the possibility for gluten to be in the fryers from not constantly changing their gloves before adding fries to the fryer is pretty high. I'm Celiac and even after taking the precautions to avoid CC I'm pretty sure the fryer is contaminated from the staff not taking precautions to ensure the fryer oil stays GF. Also, the staff knew about changing their gloves but didn't really know much about preventing gluten CC.

Was told the fries are the only thing fried in the fryer and are gf. After alerting them to an "allergy" (because it's easier to just go with it sometimes) when I asked for no bun on mine, they packaged the fries with my son's regular buger with the bun. I called to educate them about cross contamination and was told the staff would be retrained and I was offered a free meal. I went back in a week later to accept my free meal which mirrored my first meal and the EXACT same thing happened. Clearly no one was retrained. They offered me fresh fries that hadn't been touched and I reluctently accepted but I still got sick so my burger was not clear of cross contamination. I can't go back after this. It's pretty clear food allergies/sensitivities don't matter to them.

They use peanut oil for those with nut allergies; they offer complementary in-shell peanuts and ask you not to take them outside. Buns are toasted on its own separate grill so no cross over. Burgers are doubled and fries are okay. You should say you are gluten intolerant. They will offer lettuce wrap in lieu of no bun. Ordered "all the way" and didn't have a reaction to condiments/toppings. Did not put GF friendly but they will accommodate GF as much as possible.

Very cautious. I travel a lot, so this is my go to chain restaurant on the road. Never had a problem. And yes, the burgers and fries are great.
