They have Great Burgers and fries, the only things that go in the fryer are gluten free. When you order the bunless burger, they always ask if it is an allergy. Great restaraunt.

I have to give 5 stars because they are so tasty. lol! Everyone knows what I am talking about! The french fries are in a dedicated fryer. The only thing I wonder is why they fry them in peanut oil when there are so many people with peanut allergies? Either way, it is very good! They will ask you right off "Do you have an allergy?" So they will know how to handle your food. Then they will yell back "allergy!" and everyone changes their gloves! :D That is what I am talking about! They GET IT!

This is a great burger place for those with Celiac. The only food with gluten in it is the bun - even the fryers only fry fries. Good lettuce wraps and they even put the ketchup and mustard in separate containers. Pretty safe eating and fresh food.

This location is not the best for being knowledgable. We have had two incidents at this location. The first time the were rude when asked to change gloves and the second time I got sick. I'm not sure they understand cross contamination.

Five Guys serves amazing food. Not only do they have a dedicated fryer so you don't have to worry about cross contaminated French fries, but the grill is right in front of you, and I've never seen a bun touch the grill while they prepare your meal. The only reason this isn't a five star rating is that, as delicious as their food is, it is quite greasy, literally seeping through the bag. This can disturb the stomach a little, so definitely pace yourself and don't overeat. That being said, I love eating burgers and fries at Five Guys

Dedicated frier for yummy fries! You can get a burger wrapped in lettuce. Hit or miss on the surface this burger will be wrapped on! If I am hankering for a burger type patty they will do it in a bowl with the mix ins.

I have ordered from Five Guys four times from this store, and two times from their Marlton NJ store, specifically for their gluten-free option [no bun], and have not had a problem. My fiancee is very gluten-sensitive and can usually tell almost right away if she's consumed any gluten - even small amounts from cross contamination will set her reaction off - and she has never had a problem. The staff seems to understand gluten sensitivity issues. Having read other reviews that state cross contamination issues, I have to express some surprise. I've watched the burger creation process carefully, and at least in these two locations, the staff is very careful to avoid contamination. They also don't draw any extra attention to the gluten issue or disrespect it in any way, unlike a surprisingly large number of chain eateries, which seem to feel that gluten sensitivity is a topic to joke about or patronize. I highly recommend Five Guys Deptford [and Marlton] for gluten-free options.

I definitely do not feel the same way as the other reviewers. For one thing, the employees are completely ignorant about gluten-free and cross-contamination. I can see why as I have emailed the corporate headquarters and they never even bothered to get back to me. It's such a huge hassle when you say that you need someone to change their gloves and be careful not to touch any of the buns etc. My daughter has celiac disease and gluten-free is not a choice. I would rather take her to chipotle down the street then eat here.

Terrible in terms of service. I have emailed the corporate headquarters asking questions about gluten-free food and they never bothered to get back to me. Employees are completely ignorant when it comes to cross-contamination. It takes forever for them to be able to change their gloves and bring my daughter a bunless hamburger. Food is okay. I would only go to this place for my celiac daughter in a real crunch.

Went with my daughter, who has celiac. They took special care with her order, and the manager assigned one employee to handle the food. He changed his gloves, and they made it separately of the other food, and also bagged it alone. The manager was very specific with his instructions. Food was great and they did a great job.

Even though they did change their gloves, I got very very sick after eating here so there were definitely cross contamination issues. I will not risk it ever again. So not worth it!

Great place. Super aware of allergies. You can eat the fries with no fear whatsoever - they're cooked in peanut oil and they're the only things out in there! The fries are awesome. Can't eat the burgers unless you want it without a bun, but I just get the hot dog without a bun and it's fantastic.

Great place! My son has celiac. I told the cashier who informed me they have many gluten wary customers and was very friendly. They offered a burger bowl or lettuce-as-bun version. They brought his out first in its own bag with its own condiments napkins and utensils inside. Plus the awesome fries are gluten free. On an earlier trip (without my son), I asked abt GF options, and they were extremely nice; even the cook came out to explain their processes, and even compared them to a previous restaurant he had worked at. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Safe bet in Athens with a celiac 6 year old! Oh, and it has great views of the Arch and fantastic people-watching.

I saw Susan's review and wanted to make sure everyone knew five guys is super careful with cross contamination but only if you tell them! when I asked what their gluten free options were he said they had their lettuce wrap and then just a burger bowl, I decided on the lettuce wrap. Then he specifically asked me about cross contamination and yelled to the crew to make sure they knew they had to be careful with mine. the lettuce wrap was awesome by the way and they give you more than enough so to act as an actual bun although I would reccomended not ordering as many sauces with the lettuce wrap, it'll be plenty juicy on its own(:

The staff at this Five Guys is very friendly and they do their best to remember customers with allergies and sensitivities. Every time I come in, before I say anything, they are all changing their gloves. There is dedicated space on the grill and I enjoy that I can keep an eye on my food as it is being made. The fryer only fries fries, but be aware they use peanut oil and that there is a general proliferation of peanuts inside the restaurant itself. There is outdoor dining space that is meant to be peanut-free but this rule isn't really enforced.
