Great food, lots of options. Already a little pricey (small flatbreads are $11-$15). Add on another $4.25 for gluten free crust to up it some more. Staff was great though, and i couldn't even tell the food (and dessert) I got was gluten free.

The pizza dough is very mushy and seems uncooked in the middle. I have tried them several times hoping they would get better but it's the same each time I go. This was one of my favorite pizza places to go to before I was diagnosed.
This was my favorite pizza before Celiac and GF. However GF pizza is not up to standard with a few other GF crusts available. Good, not great like other pizza. I would like it if they changed their crust. They are a great restaurant though. Very aware and avoid cross contamination.
Pizza crust is ok, toppings are great! Salads and dressings are also very good. Gluten Free Whoopie Pies are the best! Atmosphere is great but it can be very loud at times. Call ahead or go on weekday evenings to avoid long waits.
Gf pizza wasn't very good - they used a Pre-bought crust instead of a homemade one & you could tell - but the gf desert was AMAZING - next time I'll skip dinner & go straight to desert

This place is great. I love the gf pizza and they have gf dessert as well! My son loves seeing the big oven where the pizza cooks. They cook the gf pizzas on a tray not directly on the oven floor like they do with the gluten ones. Love it!
The staff was very courteous and very knowledgable about cross contamination. We had a great meal there today and no effects! My son has celiac disease and is very sensitive. We would know by now if he was even cross contaminated. He had the Jay's flatbread (cheese pizza) and a root beer. They make them on foil in the walk in fridge, away from contaminates. Definitely will be back!
We ordered the flatbread special with prosciutto, red onions, cranberries, and I believe three different types of cheeses... Drizzled with a balsamic reduction! It was so tasty! The dough is by far the best I've ever had! It was a perfect size to share. I also had a bottle lavender lemonade mead wine -- I highly recommend it! Great quality ingredients! The only downfall to this place is the service took soooo long.
Ordered the Kahlua pork pizza on their "perfect" crust which is supposedly gluten free. I was sick within 2 hours. Not sure if it was cross contamination or something else on the pizza. When I ordered I informed that I had celiac and asked what was my best option I was told everything can be made gluten free. The gluten free crust is an extra $7 charge on top of the Reg. Pizza cost which is crazy ridiculous.
My 11year old Celiac said it was the best pizza he had since being diagnosed! Super careful with preparation and all pizzas were delicious! They put the pizzas on tin foil prior to baking to prevent cross contamination in the oven. Udi's crust offered as well as a vegan and GF option. Salads were scrumptious too!
With so many restaurants now offering gluten-free pizza you might think about giving this one a pass but that would be a mistake! Their homemade gluten free pizza crust is phenomenal. Not the thin frozen gluten-free crust we have all learned to be grateful for, this is the real thing! They also offer gluten-free beer and desserts so you will not feel deprived in any way.
The menu is limited in general, but the food is always fresh, healthy and delicious, and any pizza can be made with a GF crust. Be certain to mention if you have Celiac, and they bake and serve it in a separate pan, to prevent any cross contamination. The staff is very knowledgeable about GF issues. Our family loves it here!
The food was really good here, but a gluten free crust is $5 more. If you want a gluten free and vegan crust it is $7 extra. The server was really nice and mostly helpful, but did ask if gluten free was a preference or allergy. When making the gluten free crusts, the kitchen will use foil to help prevent cross contamination. apparently they may not do this if it's only a preference. This was a little concerning that the gluten free policies and practices are not consistent. Not sure it was completely worth the extra money.
Great service! The server said she was so concerned about making sure my gluten free request was followed exactly that she forgot to put in my boyfriend's order, but we then got that flatbread for free! Overall really good experience! One of the better gf crusts I have had. Would definitely come back.
THIS PLACE WAS AWESOME! Their pizza was the best gluten free pizza I have ever had. Both the server and the manager made sure they went through the whole process with us. Everything is local, homemade, or organic and every pizza can be made gluten free. They prep everything in a separate area. They have a decent selection of ciders and gf beers. For dessert, they had gluten free brownies and maple whoopie pies. It is pricey, but I would pay for a lot for such great service.
My go to place for gluten-free pizza! Amazing gluten-free crust and wicked good salad for the appetizer! Very cautious - uses tin foil on pizza plates and seperate brick oven to prevent contamination! I also love how they try to source as locally as possible.
Definitely not gluten free. My wife has celiac to the extreme. 2 emergency surgeries from it before being diagnosed. She threw up within 30 minutes of eating. My youngest daughter had green, loose stools the following day. I should have suspected a problem when the order taker asked if the reason for gluten free was a food allergy, or a fad diet. BTW. On top of not being gluten free, this was the worst pizza that I, my wife, or my children have ever had. We ordered 2 different GF pizzas and one that was not GF. I don't know where all of the 5 star ratings are from. ??? I did notice that some of the eaters said that they had celiacs. A true celiac knows that there is no s in celiac disease.
The crust is some of the best GF crust I've had, and the kitchen and staff are aware of Celiac and food preparation. They have a separate station for making the GF flatbreads, and they wrap the crust in tin foil before putting it in the brick oven. They are as cautious as can be. That being said, this place is not safe for anyone with Celiac. There is flour everywhere, the brick oven is small and shared with regular flatbreads/pizzas. It's just not possible to avoid. The staff is great and they have the knowledge and commitment, but if you have Celiac you shouldn't eat here.
I've been a loyal flat bread fan for almost a decade and just discovered this new location while in town for business. service was great...manager came to see how my meal was and they even served the gluten free pizza on a special tray to denote the allergen. five star amazing organic restaurant.

Flatbreads always my go-to regardless of location. It's not an Udi's shell which most cop-out places use because it's easy--don't get me wrong I use it at home but that defeats the purpose of going out. Always prepped in a separate location to not cross contaminate. Cooked on foil but still get that wood fired flavor. And cut with a separate cutter. Love it there!!
The gf crust was very soft and larger than most gf pizza. The selection of nitrate free meats and organic ingredients is impressive. My pizza was not hot and there was no crisp on the crust except for browned edges. I sent it back to be cooked longer with little improvement. The manger and wait staff were very friendly and apologetic. I might return, and would try ordering it well done, but I've had better GF pizza other places.
I can't say enough about how wonderful my experience was at Flatbread Co. last night. I am seriously allergic to gluten, dairy, and eggs so pizza has not been a meal for me in years and it's the one food I miss the most since my diagnosis. I am pleased to say that the vegan, gluten free pizza I had last night was phenomenal - so much flavor! What impressed me most was the extra precautions they took to make sure there was no cross contamination. My pizza was specially prepared on foil in the brick oven to be certain it didn't touch the other pies. I have not seen such care and precaution taken at any other restaurant. The best part was when the manager, Myles, came over and told me that he was going to specially prepare me a vegan/gf dessert...and I had options! I went with the gingerbread whoopie pie with apple pie sorbet and wow...it was heavenly. While Avon is quite a trek from where I live in Glastonbury, I will definitely be coming back again and again. Thanks for a superb dining experience!
