I went in recently for lunch- they did not even have a salad dressing that was gluten free, let alone any other options. Previously, I had gone for dinner and some staff members were knowledgable about Celiac and offered great options for substitutions, but if they do not have any gluten free lunch items available... I don't consider it a safe or practical option.
My first visit to Food I noticed the menu has quinoa pasta. I asked if that was gluten free and they said no, but the kids pasta is gluten free. I ordered the kids pasta and it came in a spiral shape that I had never seen gluten free pasta like before because it just falls apart. I asked 3 different waiters if it was the gluten free pasta and they all swore it was. Next thing I know I was sick to my stomach. They glutened me. When i called to tell them they need to better educate their waiters about gluten the manager swore to me that all their staff knows the quinoa pasta is the only gluten free pasta they have. I will never go there again. They clearly don't understand what gluten free means.
They don't have things marked as gluten free but I tend to order the taco salad. It's really good and the dressing is gluten free, just have the waiter double check the rice is made with water. I only have an intolerance to gluten I would be more careful if you are celiac.
