Franklin Cafe Cape Ann

We were thrilled to see a separate gluten free menu with lots of amazing sounding dishes. We tried to order gluten free fries that were listed as gluten free only to be told they are not gluten free. My toddler was understandably mad. We were able to convince him to get gluten free pasta only to be given gluten pasta! I wasn’t sure it was correct and wouldn’t let him try it and the waitress confirmed it was not gluten free and brought it back. We also ordered the lamp chop appetizer and they put it on couscous! They asked if taking it off was ok and I said no you have to remake it. So after remaking two dishes we finally ate our meal. I had the salmon and my husband had the hanger steak, both good but not inventive or interesting. We also got the flourless chocolate cake, which was good, but again I can get this dessert everywhere so I’m over it. The staff felt so bad about what happened and didn’t charge for the dishes they messed up or the chocolate cake.

Cozy place with Gypsy King music on! The hostess and the waitress are sweet and very happy! The food is delicious!!! Grill salmon with glassed ginger and quinoa salad!!! The spice salted and sweet make the salmon perfect!! They are nice with Gluten Free people!!! Cristina ina Brennan

I would definitely eat here again! My experience was stellar! I had the halibut and I couldn't have been more pleased! We are from Southern California and this was one of the highlights of our visit! For dessert we had the creme brûlée and all I can say is Yum Yum!

Fantastic food! This charming restaurant is not a cafe style that you would normally think of. It's soft logging and high end appeal with reasonable prices. They had a full page gluten free menu, a knowledgable serving staff, and greats chefs that knows what they're doing in the kitchen. My husband and I ordered a gf app (grilled calamari -$10) and 2 gf hanger steak & cod entrees ($23 each). All of the food was delicious and I didn't get sick! Will definitely go again.

Big enough menu. I got cod with a mushroom sauce on top of mashed potato with ginger & spring onion. Although slightly pricy, I enjoyed it. Waitress was knowledgeable and overall I felt comfortable there.

Wow, this place is terrific! Excellent gourmet dishes. Go here to have things you would never make at home. Extensive Gluten Free menu. So you get to spend more time with your dinner companion. Live music is a nice bonus.
