There is one item on the menu that is marked GF, but unfortunately, it isn’t! The waiter told us that the sausage and home fries are both cooked in the same fryer as the gluten-full ones. The only thing we could truly have (and isn’t marked GF) were omelettes and mashed potatoes. Neither were very good.

I didn’t have high hopes coming into this restaurant. Initially our server said they “didn’t have much” gluten free on the menu. I ended up getting the vegetarian omelette with a side of pan fried potatoes and sliced tomato, which was just okay. Overall nothing marked on the menu and minimal options but pleasantly surprised.

The food tasted fine but the overall experience left me feeling really uneasy. My waiter didn’t know what gluten was and had to ask me if potatoes contain gluten when I asked if one of the menu items was safe for someone who’s celiac. He didn’t offer to ask the kitchen staff either and just rushed to take my order. I had one of the brunch items (scrambled eggs with bacon, home fries, fruit, and no toast).
No
Notes: owner said no gluten free food apart from vegetables.
No
Frans Restaurant does not have a separate GF menu or GF specific items, but it does have a knowledgable staff. I got the cheddar cheese omelet with a side of bacon and fruit. Their home fry potatoes are not GF.
