Manager had no way of knowing about allergens. He did his best employees had no clue about gluten allergies.
Have a dedicated fryer for the fries, order burger with no bun. Ask for a manager if you have questions other staff are under informed
Buyer beware! I have celiac disease so eating GF is very important. I ate at the Fuddruckers in the Grogan's Mill shopping center in The Woodlands, TX tonight. I ordered a GF cheeseburger on a GF bun. I asked about the fries and was told that they fry them separately. The food tasted fine, but it is painfully obvious that I consumed gluten. I have indigestion and am severely swollen to the point that I now look like I am at least 5-6 months pregnant. I am disappointed that I will not be able to eat at my local Fuddruckers again. I don't trust them to at all to deliver what was promised.
Four star gluten free (contaminated frier, shared toppings risk contamination), three star sodas (the overly complex soda machine with flavor shot options is way overly strong on the flavor shots). Be sure to explain you need gluten free surfaces in addition to gluten free bun.
Had the bacon cheeseburger in a lettuce wrap. Cashier did not seem knowledgeable so I asked to speak to the manager. Asked him to wipe down grill & change gloves otherwise I would get sick from cross contamination. Manager said he could not guarantee that the fries are cooked in a dedicated fryer so I did not get them.
What is with you gluten free people, I work at this fuddruckers and when you complain about cross contamination your wasting your time and ours. You know we actually had to empty out are fryer and put new grease in it just cause a customer complained that he doesn't want his fries to be in the same fryer as our other food. Also when they come in and worry about CC on our grill they ask us to clean the whole grill and then cook their food. That means we have to turn it off, wait for it to cool, poor water and let it evaporate then clean it, wait 30 min and then turn it on. You guys are a pain in the ass
They have gluten free buns for their burgers. Their fries share a common fryer. None of their salad dressings are gluten free. The only options for a side are a salad with no dressing or apple slices. I ordered a gf bun, and was still served a regular bun. Since this is my first time here, I didn't notice until the other person in my party said their bun tasted weird. Worst experience ever.
I saw on here that it was GF friendly for my husband....so we chose this place for an over night stay dinner stop. First off the girls at the counter could have cared less and had no idea about GF anything. One girl said they had a GF bun. We asked about the fries and she said 'We try and keep them separate but workers throw other stuff in there, so the are contaminated'...great....'what about you tortilla chips' we asked...'contaminated' they said. Ugh, so my husband ordered a side salad instead and they put croutons in it. They were mad when he took it back, but hey did give us a new one. My husband did say the bun was the best he had ever had. The place was dirty an not crowded, the workers.....well let's just say interesting. Location was cool. Hard to find, can't see from the road at all! I wasn't even sure how to rate this review. The rest if us got regular burgers, they were okay with steak fries. $43.00 for 4 if us, wow! Expensive!
We just went there last night. It took three tries to get a salad with no croutons. The buns may have been gluten free but we suspect serious cross contamination. The fries are NOT gluten free. They are fried with onion rings. If you are allergic to gluten (celiac) avoid this Fudruckers.
Staff was completely ignorant of menu items and there was no allergen information available. The only thing they knew is they had GF hamburger buns. They were clueless about ingredients in anything else. I ordered a GF burger with sweet potato fries and the fries are battered in presumably flour. I even spoke to the manager and they knew nothing. Would not return if you have any allergies; only okay for casual GF eaters who want a GF hamburger bun and don't mind cross contamination or other gluten containing ingredients.
Finally a fast food burger place with gluten free buns!!! I feel like a normal human being eating here and enjoying a nice greasy cheeseburger. Honestly I have NO clue how they prepare the food in the back but I haven't gotten sick from eating their burgers. The only major downside is there is no separate fryer for the fries. You'd think a place with GF buns would have GF fries?
There is not a gluten free menu, but the meats are seasoned with salt pepper and I didn't react to it. I ordered the buffalo burger without the bun and just added the salad from the salad bar. Staff is not aware of gluten allergy and so you are pretty much on your own. Need to ask and stay away from fried items. Meats are fine.
