I called Gappys's before placing my order for a gluten free pizza and was reassured that my pizza would be gluten free. I arrived early and watched the server remove my pizza from the oven and he cut the pie with the shared pizza cutter. When I questioned them, they apologized for the oversight and offered to make me a new pie while I waited. I was watching them prepare my new pie and the pie maker put sauce and cheese from the same pot and container they use for the regular pies on my pizza. When I brought this error to their attention , It was clear that they had no idea about cross contamination and the effects it had on celiac customers. I would not consider this a safe restaurant for celiacs.

They have gluten free options, but I really didn’t like the food. The pasta was good and cooked well, but drowning in tomato sauce, that I didn’t like that much. The meatballs were terrible. Not sure what they used to make them, but they were gummy. The ready of my family who are not gluten free, liked the food so maybe it just personal taste.
