Gibbet Hill has a separate gluten free menu with a good amount of options. I was pleasantly surprised that they even brought me out a gluten free corn muffin when we sat down (they give bread baskets out which my husband very much enjoyed). The food is excellent as well, and the server double checked my order with the kitchen to be sure it was safe for me. They even had multiple gluten free dessert options. We got the cheesecake and it was very good (the cheesecake came with a blueberry topping with no crust). It is on the expensive side but I felt safe eating there and had options.

I went here on Mother's day 23'. I was glad to see a separate GF ( I believe it said Gluten Sensitive) menu. I know because of Mother's day it was a smaller menu but still had plenty things to choose.I had a filet Mignon that was cooked to perfection! The best I've had in a very long time. Leave room for dessert. The Chocolate Pot de Creme was delicious! I'm not sure about there safety measures so they only got 3 stars from me. I do not think they have separate fryers etc. Definitely a great place for a special dinner.

Gluten Intolerant

For the past year, I’ve had to be gluten and dairy free. Our server’s attention and knowledge made for an experience that is hard to find at a restaurant. For the past year, eating out has become stressful. Servers don’t know the ingredients, and don’t seem to be willing or able to find out. Our visit to Gibbet Hill was a treat – and the food – wonderful as always. They had a GF menu which took care of half of my concerns. Our server told us about the butter/margarine on the outside of baked potatoes (I would never have thought about that), that they could make risotto GF/DF, and that the reduction on the duck contained dairy. I had the duck entrée (with GF/DF risotto) – and it was fantastic. Desert was apple cider sorbet. And, the GF corn bread muffins – outstanding!

Do they offer gluten free items? Yes. Are they generally accommodating? No. They would not pan fry French fries and didn’t offer to open a new ice cream so my daughter could have it. So she had a piece of grilled chicken with carrots and no dessert even though her meal included it. I was very upset about it and wouldn’t bring a celiac here again.

To clarify some other reviews: the standard gluten free bread substitute is a nicely done cut round biscuit, serve with whipped butter. It is a tad less formal than the rest of the menu, but very good. The menu changes regularly with the seasons: the gluten free one with the other. There are always fun, creative surprises. The duck is tender and lovely. The kitchen adapts to reasonable requests, nicely. I highly recommend reservations, made at least two days ahead of time, as the place is really popular.

I eat here at least once a week! Even had my wedding at "The Barn". The staff is excellent and they are all very well educated on celiac and are very willing to help you find an amazing meal. Even the wedding venue went above and behind making sure I had GF apps and meal. Even the cake company they use have GF options included at no extra cost so I was even allowed to cut into and eat my own wedding cake!

The salmon and braised leeks were amazing! the roll they brought me was so dry though I nearly choked. I think for such a nice establishment the least they could have is rolls or buns for burgers, or not add flour to the chowder so it is also gluten free! The dessert was also amazing ! Not a full menu if you are not a steak lover.

Good options. The steak was great. The maple syrup glazed kohlrabi was fabulous. The mashed potatoes were over whipped and way over salted.

Excellent food and full g-f menu. Homemade chips in place of bread is a nice touch. Be sure to ask for them if your server forgets to offer. Staff v. sensitive to food allergies.
