Ordered Strawberry cupcakes for birthday party. Strawberry is my favorite & these tasted So Yummy! Didn't feel like I was missing out while watching everyone else eat the "regular" cupcakes :D
Love the Princess cupcake! :)
Never had a reaction here. My only gripe is that they don't have a better selection. Their cupcakes are wonderful, but I have to learn to be happy with chocolate instead of strawberry or some other exotic flavor.
Got sick and couldn't figure out why. Later they said they couldn't guarantee that "gluten-free" products were actually gluten-free. Very misleading
Gigi' Cupcakes has a delicious selection of gluten free cupcakes everyday. They use to only make them on Friday but have recently changed to daily.
Just got them and now I'm nervous. They look delicious, but I'm not sure if I want them after reading disclaimer sticker on box and last review :(
We used to be regulars of Gigi's. Have been told they have at least one gluten free option per day. Made a special trip today to get cupcakes for my three kids, and found out that not a single GF cupcake had been made today. Not very fun to tell your three kids that they cannot have a cupcake after you made a special trip because you were told there is a GF option every day. Call before you go so you don disappoint anyone.
Terrible - How can they market Gluten Free? I have Celiac Dx and became very ill. My sister has a wheat intolerance and became ill. Gluten Free is not a Fad! I hope this app removes them so no one else is fooled by "we take precautions".....My GI says otherwise! - -Disappointed - -
It's fun to be able to get cute cupcakes any day. The staff is helpful. We've never been sick from these cupcakes. We don't really like the flavored that aren't the flourless cake-- strange texture. I also don't think the frosting tastes that great. It tastes about like what I expect from canned frosting.
Gluten free cupcakes every day! So delicious! They have several different flavors each day!
Have been to this location 3 times and have never had a problem with cross contamination. The last time I went, I was disappointed to see that the Peanut Butter Cup flavor was sold out, but the woman at the counter (sorry, I didn't catch her name) offered to make me one if they had any gf ingredients left. They did, and it was delicious!
AMAZING GF cupcakes. Everything I eat one, I think they gave me a regular one by mistake. they are so yummy!
Gigi's in Louisville need to post a sign that they can't guarantee gluten safe. Cross contamination is possible. I was informed that Gigi's uses same mixing bowls/mixer used for gluten to mix gluten free mix. They just wash bowls in water & soap. Not safe for Celiac!
Definitely amazing tasting cupcakes but I get sick every time I've had them so I just can't do it anymore =[
I haven't tried their product yet but the ly do have a few GF selections. Bought a few to try out tonight. Great service just haven't tried it yet. Updating my review after trying the cupcake. WAY to sweet for my tastes. There are better in the wake forest nc area.
The GF cupcakes were amazing. We had the chocolate torte and there was absolutely NO texture difference! My 4 year old that doesn't have gluten issues even said mom this is the best!
Their gluten free cupcakes are the best I've ever had! They make three different kind of GF cupcakes fresh daily, and their menu for each day is posted online, so you know which day you can get which cupcake. I believe you can also order any flavor as a cake or large order of cupcakes for an event or party, although I haven't done that yet.
Only offer GF cupcakes on Fridays but have more great GF options for Valentines! :)
multiple gluten free flavors every day now!! very delicious if craving sweets. they of course still bake regular, so they caution for severe allergies, but I have Celiac and have never gotten sick with a GiGi GF cupcake.
I went to try their gluten free cupcakes today. They had four kinds out of their selection of 24 cupcakes (the rest were regular). The frosting was good but the cake part was not. Either they were dry or not cooked all the way and the consistency and flavor were just off and poor tasting.
3 flavors of GF Cupcakes offered daily. They're excellent!
Cute cupcakes and rated tasted good but I was shocked they didn't know what was in their cupcakes. I asked to see a label (or most places have a book of ingredients for their items) and they had to go in the back and bring me out bottles of ingredients so I could read the labels. The cupcakes were good and my daughter didn't get sick from a gluten pov but I found this unacceptable for other allergens as well as food dyes (which give my daughter hives) so I have never been willing to risk going back.
Gigi's has only one kind of gluten free cupcake per day. We had the rich chocolate cupcake with chocolate icing. They had no cookies or no other gluten free dessert to offer. I consider this a pot luck deal, you have to settle for the gluten free cupcake of the day. All the other good looking stuff had gluten. The one cupcake was celiac friendly.
Very disappointed! I called in advance for a order of GFree cupcakes. I asked the associate to please change their gloves before handling my gluten free cupcake. When I picked up the cupcakes I inquired if they changed their gloves. I was told they didn't. I asked for a new order. The manager was rude and very unprofessional in his interaction. They didn't want to change their gloves and advised me I shouldn't return if I am that sensitive. No problem! I do not recommend this place! I didn't even want to give it a star.
The service here is phenomenal. They are very helpful and give specific instructions about gf if you ask them. I have Celiac Disease and have had cupcakes from here 3 different times, and have never been sick. We just ordered for my little boy's birthday and they were beautiful and delicious. Great place!
Yeah! gluten-free cupcakes finally arrived in Mobile, AL. I spoke with the person behind the counter about my concerns with possible cross-contamination issues. She reassured me that while there are gluten-containing products they bake in their store, they do take every precaution to avoid any cross-contamination with these items. She explained that they use clean utensils and bakeware when preparing gluten free items. She also said that the gluten free cupcakes are prepared first thing in the morning before they bake their regular, gluten-containing ones. Additionally, they put the gluten free cupcakes on their own separate trays and even in a separate display case. She confirmed that they have regular celiac patrons and haven't had any complaints so far. All of which I liked hearing. The gluten free cupcakes are only on Fridays and sell out quick. They try to have two-three varieties from which to choose. I had the chocolate torte. It was delicious and rich. If you need gluten-free cupcakes other than Friday, then you'll need to call a day in advance. There is a 6 cupcake minimum for a special order. So excited to be able to have gluten-free cupcakes now!
all of us are gluten sensitive so tried the gluten free cupcakes - husband didn't feel well, one child got her stomach ache and one child had a fit before leaving the parking lot. cupcakes tasted ok, but won't be eating there again.
Every Friday morning is gf day. They also usually have a couple gf options on other days. But gf scan sell out so to guarantee, call ahead to check or order online day before. Try the strawberry gf, try all gf flavored, yum! Great for kids missing fun colored cupcakes piled high with icing.
They have a Gluten Free Chocolate Torte on their menu everyday that is amazing!! They have 3 to 4 other Gluten Free options every Friday and Saturday. You can special order Gluten Free anyway, with a minimum order I believe.
My favorite place for gf cupcakes. wish they had them every day!
Don't count on it! I don't believe they actually carry anything past 2 cupcakes on some magical day. I have tried 4 different locations in 2 cities, one location 3 times. I have never been able purchase a GF cupcake nor even seen where they might have had one. I've checked the website, called ahead and even gone on their designated day. So far, the 0 for 6. I think that says it all
