I was motivated by all the amazing reviews about this place as well as the prospect of eating some grass-fed beef and other high quality ingredients. The expectation was to have a flawless experience and offer blanket recommendations to this place to other friends with similar dietary restrictions. Unfortunately, my experience was very different from what I witnessed thus far in these reviews, and I'm not sure if I simply got unlucky or others with similar outcomes have simply not spoken up, but I owe it to those suffering from Celiac disease or gluten allergies to share my experience. First and foremost, let me be clear that I did have a good time while at Grange Hall, as the food was indeed superb and the service, while not the best I've had due to being seated at the hectic bar area, was at least cordial.  However, I started seeing some red flags soon after... First, there was no dedicated gluten-free menu.  This could be forgiven if everything on the menu could be convertible to gluten-free as long as i made the server aware of the condition, which I did.  However this was not the case, and we had to spend some length of time to avoid any potential pitfalls in the menu, and ultimately we agreed on a bunless burger paired with some gourmet fries that would have its standard "beer cheese" sauce substituted with shredded cheese.  I even heard the order being placed in the kitchen with this specific {and honestly rather simple) substitution.  The end result was that my fries, while supposedly cooked in a separate fryer, were still doused with something that still looked pretty much like sauce, and the staff was a bit too busy to ask.  In hindsight I should have double-checked, but of course I had the utmost confidence that I was being properly taken care of.   And that leads me to the second issue... despite what I read, I didn't get the impression that the staff at the time was as knowledgeable, or sympathetic, about gluten-free, and I couldn't help but feel a little unwelcomed in that respect.  Granted this is purely subjective, and I did agree to sit at their bar for their own convenience (where I was, sadly, surrounded by conventional beers of all shapes and sizes), but it's not something I was expecting from an eating establishment where the owner and part of the family are Celiac sufferers.  Thankfully I am only gluten intolerant, and I was only marginally sick over the weekend, up to the time of this writing -- but had I full-blown Celiac disease, or had I brought along friends who were Celiac sufferers as I do on occasion, I can't help but worry about how deleterious or even fatal the experience could have been. That's not to say I would not give this place a second chance, and if my experience improves at that point, then I will write an amendatory review.  But I will have to approach this restaurant as I would any restaurant that poses cross-contamination issues or that may not have an attentive staff as advertised. And I will certainly withhold recommending this place to anyone suffering from Celiac Disease, a gluten allergy, or debilitating re-exposure symptoms from wheat consumption. Thank you.

Was told by waitress the owner has gluten issues & her 2 kids are celiac. Hubby & daughter LOVED the gf buns. Even the pies are gf-going back for those another day!

Outstanding! Highly recommend. Friendly, helpful staff. Attentive owner. Turkey burger was delicious. And such a treat to have gluten free fries (they have a dedicated fryer!). Don't miss the jicama cole slaw (GF & DF!). Next time I'll try to leave room for the GF/DF chocolate pie.

Gluten free burger buns & a dedicated GF fryer Burger was delicious, but a tad (just a tad) too greasy for me. The vegan/gf chocolate pudding pie was good, but also too rich for my taste. The bf thought his burger was perfect and LOVED the bourbon pecan pie.

Amazing gluten free buns! I would highly suggest the roasted beet burger, it was fantastic. This is my favorite place to get a burger in the city!
