Server said they had no gluten free options very resolutely. Then he mentioned they might have gluten free bread. They couldn't care less to accommodate, or try. Perhaps they have their food prepared elsewhere & they don't know the ingredients. Or Perhaps they just don't care. With their prices, you would expect otherwise. Planet Hollywood is much much better for service & gluten free options.
Server told me they had no gluten free menu. I was on vacation and trying to just not be a problem for the other people we were with so I asked for chicken sandwich with no bun, no sauces and no fries. She said we have a gluten free bun (which she didn't tell me in the beginning). So I said of course yes but then my food came out and I always ask to make sure. the server who brought us our food said it wasn't a gluten free bun and took it back. I should have not eaten the food when it came back out but I did and was incredibly sick that night. I am sure they just replaced the bun which of course cross contaminated everything on the plate. :( seems like Vegas is not very up to date on allergies like this and I went here because they were rated 4 stars. Most places we went following advice on here didn't know anything. I suggest bringing or buying your own food and eating in the hotel.

Server wasn't very knowledgable for what I could and couldn't have. Not many options. Was brought a salad with croutons initially but sent it back and had no problems. The steak I had was also very good. So it was overall good
While the waiters were not knowledgeable they got the chef who was very knowledgeable about what I could have. Knows about cross contamination. Chef Jess even have me his card in case there were any problems. For a chicken salad. I have been to hard rocks across the country and have had similar experiences
Ask for the manager Jesus aka "Papi" he's an expert on celiac disease and will make sure you get a safe meal. The food itself is typical overpriced fare- but being able to go out and my 8yr old and her having a good experience was well worth it. So hard to find places you can trust...we will be back next time in area.
My wife is celiac, Jesus the manager was a great help. Also the waitress Ashlee was very good. We felt very comfortable here, also the food was great! My wife had a burger, great gf bun. I had the Mac & cheese.. Jesus has a child that is celiac, he goes to great length to cater to celiac customers.
Great allergy menu and gluten free buns
I am celiacs and ordered the legendary burger. When we were seated, we let them know of my food allergy and the manager came to give us the low down and the waitress was very attentive to my needs. Dedicated fryer for fries so if you havnt had in a while, worth the visit. + lots of cool stuff on the walls lol great staff.
Burgers were easy to make substitutions, fries without seasoning, waitress very nice and willing to make substitutions. Initially burger came out with the bun even though I'd specifically ordered it without. Waitress had them remake it instead of just taking the bun off, which was good. Once got it the second time it was good and no contamination issues.
Ordered fajitas after waiter told us they were gluten free and could be served with corn tortillas. Right before food was served he explained the marinate for the steak might not be gluten free and that the corn tortillas were made in a wheat facility and might also contain wheat. So we were served unseasoned steak and shrimp over some onions and bell peppers with a side plate of cheese with no offer to order something else from the menu. Not exactly my idea of 30 dollar fajitas..
A few options, although not the best. The menu won't tell you but they do offer corn tortillas, so the fajitas are an option as well as the fish tacos. Like I said, not a lot to choose from but after a margarita or two you may not care. Order the fajitas and enjoy the fantastic location.
Great service, great food. The waiter was very friendly and the manager came out to discuss gf options as is the standard at this restaurant. He was knowledgable about gf and helpful in making us feel comfortable that gf could be done appropriately here. We had nachos, bbq chicken, and a bacon cheeseburger (lettuce wrap) with fries (dedicated fryer for fries/chips). My boyfriend is very gluten-sensitive and we had no trouble here.
Terrible service and no way to accommodate allergies. She told us 'if you see something on there that you know you can eat you should order it'. She had no idea what anything had in it, ingredient wise, and then said 'I should learn more about it' when answering our allergy questions. So to be safe we ordered a salad with no cheese. Not only did the salad come out with cheese on it, she proceeded to argue with us that it did not have cheese. Never going back
I was so impressed with the servers' knowledge of gluten free, we went back the next day. You can order anything and the server will work with the kitchen to make it GF.Fries are not GF so they brought me a salad and put the chicken sandwich I ordered on GF bun. So good!!
No stars!!! This IS NOT a gluten free chain. I don't know why it's even on this website. How come we can't get this removed from the list. As a moderate/severe celiac disease person, I'm extremely disappointed. And it frustrates me that more of you aren't either.
My husband and I love this Hard Rock location! The manager and wait staff are very knowledgable, and the manager will spend time going over the menu with you. Simply inform your waiter of your allergies! And, they will do the rest. They take measures to avoid cross contamination and use a separate fryer for GF fries! GF buns are available and there are many options. GF Salad dressings are limited so bring your own if you do not like their lime citrus balsamic vinegarette. I was surprised it was very good, but may not be for everyone.
My boyfriend and I ate here later in the evening just last night. Being my first time on vacation since going gluten free I was a bit worried about being able to eat out at somewhere other than Chipotle LOL. I was so surprised at the service at Hard Rock! I am not a Celiac, but avoid gluten as a lifestyle choice. I notified our server if I could have a gluten free menu- and she said she would send the manager. At first this raised flags- but as soon as the manager came- all was lowered! The manager was excellent. Sat with us and explained that most of the menu is gluten free or can be made gluten free. Talked to us about the salad dressings, the burgers etc- said they they will accommodate whatever I want to order. He said his daughter was a celiac and asked what exactly my allergy was. I explained its not that I am allergic- just a lifestyle choice. I assume he did this so he would take extra steps in the kitchen. I ordered a Mushroom Burger. They made me separate mushrooms because the manager said the others had a thickener. The gluten free bun was DELICIOUS. The fries were cooked in a seperate fryer. All in all, a great experience! I was so happy to find this!
I was confused when we stopped in for a burger, because our experience was not the same as others. I would not classify Hard Rock in Maui as celiac friendly, no dedicated fryers or cooking areas (at least not according to our waitress), no gf bun options, no gf menu at all. All of their BBQ sauces have soy sauce, even the beans that top the nachos have wheat. Very few options without extreme modification. The only reason I give them 2 stars is because our waitress was trying so hard to make something work.
Our server did not really understand my questions about being gluten free. She went back to kitchen, returned and said they could do a burger with no bun, but seemed unsure. We decided to not risk it- they gave us our drinks for free which was nice. My rating is just based on this single experience.
Had lunch at the Hard Rock in Myrtle Beach today. Read a few places that they catered to gluten free and my wife loves the place. I ordered the wings, which they were able to prepare GF because the chicken base hadn't been put on yet. They came with a side of Buffalo and a side of blue cheese, both gluten friendly. Huge and meaty wings with great sauces. Next I had the local legendary and my wife had the original sans the onion ring on a GF bun. I gotta say that her bread held up better to that delicious and juicy burger than mine did. Strongly suggest getting it done medium for max flavour. With the coupon from the local deals book, the whole meal (with a raspberry lemonade drink off the adult menu) came to a reasonable and tasty $40 plus tax and tip. A real bargain considering the great experience.
Very accommodating to gluten allergy. Had the grilled salmon with mashed potatoes. They also have GF burgers w bun, fries.
Excellent service. Staff very knowledgeable. Manager came to our table to confirm and review with me even more gf options. I had the steak and fries from their dedicated fryer. Food was delicious. They were quick friendly and definitely would eat here again. Mom always weary about eating out since I have celiac a. celiac friendly
They have GF buns!!! The servers were excellent and knowledgable. One child ordered fajitas with corn tortillas and the other ordered the hamburger and fries off of the kids' menu. This is for the location on the strip. There is another location at the Hard Rock Hotel & casino.
I believe I was glutened at this restaurant. The manager was very knowledgeable about what wasn't gluten free on the menu, which was almost everything. I got the grilled chicken salad, minus the cheese, oranges, onions and tomatoes as I'm sensitive to those items, and asked to add avocado. When the salad came out, it was shredded deli chicken, not grilled chicken, and I had to ask the server for the avocado, which he brought out after I was halfway done eating my salad. My stomach was not a happy camper, which I noticed within minutes after finishing. When we got the bill, they charged me an extra $3 for the avocado, even after I requested to take off half the ingredients of the salad. I do not recommend this restaurant if you are celiac.
My waitress knew a lot about what I could and could not have. The manager came over to greet us and told me that they had a dedicated fryer. So for an appetizer I got nachos. And then for an entree I got a New York strip with French fries. The steak was great and the fries were amazing; probably the best fries I ever had.
That was crazy easy for a new GF eater. No designated gluten free menu, but wait staff super helpful and let the kitchen manager know of my needs. He came to the table and spoke with me about what was safe to eat. Even a separate designated GF fryer. Highly recommend.
As always, the managers are very well aware of what a gluten free meal is. Most sauces (except bbq) are GF. Good GF bun for burgers or chicken. Also, fries are great. Awesome salads. Very nice to be able to get REAL food. Highly recommend.
Highly recommended! The manager, Scott, came to my table and discussed the gf options with me. He waited for the waitress to explain her that the ordered burger needs to be gf and that they have to make gf fries. Very good job! The food was tasty! And in addition they have two hard cider.
Chef will accommodate to maintain gluten free meals, just speak to your server. Hostess was sweet enough to ask the chef before we even sat down. Staff is knowledgable and repeatedly said what was gluten free and that it was gluten free when it was brought to the table which made me feel safe with all their group communication! Had a cheeseburger with lettuce for a bun, fries on the side. Fries are in a fry only fryaltor. Yum! :)
My family and I were very hungry, and we wanted a place we knew had gf options. When we sat down, we started to take note that service was very slow. My dad asked if they had a specific menu for gf people and our waitress said "oh we'll just take the bread off" and we instantly knew something would be wrong. Luckily, the manager came out and he cleared everything up for us and checked the sauces and made sure we could have a gf meal. I got a garden salad with shrimp, my mom got salmon w/ broccoli and mashed potatoes, and my dad got a Caesar salad with shrimp (no croutons). When our meals came out, everyone's was fine, except for mine, because mine had a crouton on it. They fixed it, and I didn't get sick. My dad thought he got a little sick, however we aren't really sure. May have been cross-contamination.
There is no gluten-free menu. But the kitchen manager came and sat down with me and went through the menu and told me what I could and could not eat. This was very helpful! They have gluten-free hamburger buns. I got a cheeseburger and fries and it was very good.
No specific gf menu, but the manager walked me through the menu......he also advised that there is a separate fryer..... he made sure my food had no cross contamination. i had potato skins as an appetizer, main meal was a cheeseburger and french fries......
No GF menu but they are awesome answering questions and getting answers. I wanted to nachos (corn) but are fried in general fryer. They do have a separate fryer for french fries. I ordered the Cobb salad with ranch (honey mustard is not GF). Will add another review later to see how it was and if I reacted. 5 stars for service.
Gluten free buns, dedicated fryer. Recently switched to a gluten free BBQ sauce. My daughter has celiac. She got the ribs and fries and was fine. They weren't super educated but the manager was very helpful. Said the company is working on a gluten free menu. For now you pretty much just need to ask about individual items.
If you have kids, be warned that there is nothing gluten free on the kid's menu. $6.95 for a hot dog without a bun seems outrageous. Forget about french fries since they do not have a dedicated fryer. I had a cheeseburger, which came on an Udi bun (yuck). I ordered the burger done medium, and it came rare, red, mushy, and cold in the center. The restaurant was not at all busy. We won't be back. I would rate it zero stars if I could.
Manager recommended the Mac and cheese. When I asked if the pasta was gluten free he said oh oh no that's right. Don't get that. Then he said they had a dedicated fryer for allergies. 1.5 hours later still no food. The fryer broke. No one bothered to tell us. They do have udis gf buns so the burgers technically are GF but I would not trust contamination. My daughter is celiac and I just can't risk it.
Terrible GF experience here. I find that large national chains usually have this whole GF thing figured out, which is why we went here, but Hard Rock Cafe was a dismal failure. Yes, they will offer you a GF bun, as if that's all we celiacs need, but after questioning I quickly learned that they had incredibly few options. Even simple things that are usually safe like a sauteed chicken breast or salmon weren't GF (and couldn't be altered to be GF.) Both the server and the manager were very uneducated (the server had no CLUE what I was talking about, which is why I had to ask for the manager) so I didn't feel safe at all. In the end, the only item I felt I could eat with any confidence were the nachos (and they were burned and cold, to add insult to injury.)
Great. Manager explained the menu and asked about sensitivity to ensure all items were accommodating. Gluten free buns. Dedicated French fry fryer. Excellent service and atmosphere.
