Hemingway's Restaurant

We are at Hemmingways last evening and the food was the best we have had so far! Gluten free was clearly marked on the menu u, the waitress knew exactly what could be substituted and was very willing to do that, even my non-gluten free friends. I would highly recommend this restaurant, I felt very safe and had no issues whatsoever so ever!

Went with my family and ended up just getting a Diet Coke. The waitress had no idea what I was talking about and I got the vibe that I wouldn’t be safe.

Surprisingly understanding about celiac. Make sure to ask your server because they have GF buns and they will change out the oil if you want fries!! Otherwise, your options are salads.

I went based on the other reviews but the menu did not have any indication of GF. When I asked there were very limited options; the waitress told me I could have grilled chicken or grilled grouper. When I asked further I was able to get the conch chowder which was delicious. I didn’t get sick but also would have preferred more options.

I had a great meal, which included a delicious gluten free bun, and the staff seemed knowledgeable. Will likely visit again before we leave the island.

The ambiance on the deck in the evening was incredible. The GF entrees were clearly marked on the main menu and website. I had the seared ahi tuna which had a delicious flavorful rub on the outside.
