The Royal Pacific has two dining rooms Jakes and Islands and a quick service location called TukTuk.

Jakes and Islands share a kitchen. If you contact a kitchen manager or head chef, they are more than happy to make delicious options not featured as GF on the menu. Chef Mark made me a delicious tofu and vegetable rice noodle teriyaki dish, and a scrumptious Florentine eggs Benedict and roasted potatoes at breakfast. I called the hotel in advance and also had GF blueberry muffins and donuts ready for my family to grab and go at TukTuk in the morning. They are all so friendly and happy to assist with those needing GF food.

Server was knowledgeable about what was GF. I wasn’t super impressed with what we had (salmon bowl and Asian chopped salad with shrimp), but it was safely prepared and a good change up from the usual theme park burgers and fries.

I have eaten at Islands many times over the course of different years, each time they take my having celiac seriously, make the chef aware, and have many gluten free options. I think the dinner menu is better and has more gluten free options than the breakfast menu.

Their menu is marked with allergy concerns. There were several gluten free options. I also have a soy and canola allergy. The chef prepared my food special. It was very good! Staff very accommodating.

The staff was friendly and once I told them I had celiac and a dairy allergy they had the chef come out. I wanted to get pancakes (it was offered as a gluten free option) but the chef said he wanted to make sure it was also dairy free. Sadly it did have milk in the batter. But the chef went out of his way to make me waffles instead! I did not get sick at all! I haven’t had waffles that good in so long I was very happy!

My son loved the options and when he chose something that wasn’t gluten free on accident- the chef realized it and corrected it! Amazing staff and the Thai pad shrimp was great!

My kids are GF. Kids menu at whole hotel is the same. Only GF options were a burger (no fries) and pizza. The kids liked both, but I was surprised that a place like Universal didn’t have more options.

Excellent range of options for all meals. Evening meal had great range and very tasty. I had Pad Thai and was lovely and filling. Several other options on the menu I considered. Very knowledgeable staff. Breakfast was out of this world... pancakes (sweet aftertaste but suspect this is the GF flour used) and cinnamon sugar donuts!!!! Yes yes YES!!! The only GF donut I found in all universal.

This was the best gluten-free meal we had during our trip. The restaurant is located in the Royal Pacific hotel. Their menu has multiple items labeled gluten-free and the chef said he can also adapt most dishes to gluten-free. The chef came to our table and was very knowledgeable about celiac and cross-contamination. My daughter had gluten-free pizza and when she took the first bite she says oh my gosh it taste like gluten I cannot tell it’s gluten-free! She also had french fries which were the best fries that she has had since being diagnosed. I had the Asian chop salad and the coconut soup both of which were delicious. Portions were quite generous. She is extremely sensitive to cross contamination and had no reaction to her meal.

Went for breakfast. Staff and chef was NOT knowledgeable about celiac and was offering toast in shared toaster. In end not a lot of option beyond eggs and untoasted bread. Gf donut was good, otherwise wasn't that impressed. Disney still does gf much better

One of several restaurants at the Royal Pacific Resort, the Islands Dining Room specializes in "pan-Asian" food. They have a decent selection of GF options, which are marked on the menu. The food was only okay and a bit expensive for what it was ($22 for mediocre pad thai), but it was very nice to have GF food options at the hotel where we were staying.

Asian Fusion/Wok Experience They have a create your own wok experience where the chef will use a separate wok, separate tongs and even bring you gluten free noodles!!! Every single item except one sauce on the wok bar is GF! And, they have a full menu with most items able to be gluten free. HIGHLY recommend it!!!!
