Been here multiple times and did not get sick staff is very helpful and always double checks everything. Even brought me out gluten free soup on a day they were serving soup I couldn’t eat. I feel safe eating here.

This is our favorite restaurant and we have come here many times with our celiac daughter and have not had an issue. They are so nice, accommodating and the food is excellent. Enjoy a traditional basque dinner served family style.

4/20/19 update: they now have gluten free soup every day! 8/27/17 update: Since we've been coming here for about 7 years GF/DF (and about 13 years before that without allergies), we've gotten to know the owner well. So, last night we talked more about the kitchen. No gluten or dairy goes on the grill so we no longer need to ask them to pan fry items. Also, we can have the beef stew, beans, seasoning on our fries, and the salad. They don't use any flour, just corn starch. The only items we cannot have are the soup (due to the consomme containing gluten in all soups and some soups also have regular pasta) and the bread (and the ice cream due to DF). Marie, the owner, did say if we call one day in advance that they will also make the soup GF for us. Last night we had the lamb chops cooked on the grill, salad, fries with seasoning, beef stew and beans. Everything was delicious and we did not get sick and we're super sensitive to cross-contamination. Also, I don't get sick from the red table wine. We dine here at least once a month and it's always an excellent experience.

MY REVIEW FROM 2015: Although J.T.'s does not have a gluten free menu and is family-style for dinner, the owner of the restaurant (Marie) and her staff (especially Ryan) are well-versed with gluten and dairy and will make your lunch/dinner to order and give the chef clear directions. They do an excellent job accommodating my son and I and we eat here about once a month. They modify the menu for us and cook us a main entrée (in a separate clean pan, not on the grill) and then we got bottomless fries made in their dedicated GF fryer. I believe if you call ahead they will actually make some of their other items (salad, soup, stew, beans etc.) gluten free for you but we have not done this yet as we are filled with our lamb chops/chicken and fries and are super sensitive to cross-contamination so we don't want to risk it. Highly recommend this place for the food and atmosphere and neat bar. We have never gotten sick here and have been eating here GF/DF for 4+ years.

I love this place. I've been coming since I was a kid, and now try to come whenever I'm home visiting my parents. As some other reviewers mentioned, they told me that they can make a GF soup if I call the day ahead of time, but since I only come about once a year, I've never remembered to do that. Anyway, I can eat everything other than the soup and the bread and never feel deprived. I even eat the ice cream (without incident), even though I tend to be pretty wary of cross contamination with ice cream.

Everything previous reviewer said was true. Food was delicious and tastes so homemade and owner and server very knowledgeable. Only things not GF on menu are soup and bread. If you call day before they'll even make GF soup. Meals served family style and plentiful. Homemade fries delicious! So relaxing to eat and not worry. 100% delightful experience. Well be back with family next time! 👍

After reading the other review we were excited to come here. My daughter was more than happy with their delicious salad, French fries and chicken. They even brought her fries out early so she had something to eat while we ate the rest of the courses. They referenced the mother and son who left the other review and said because of them they knew exactly how to take care of us. The food was amazing and my daughter left happy and healthy :)
