Excellent experience. They are aware of celiac needs. Almost everything is GF. One of my fav places to go for GF food. UPDATE 1/2024: Sad to say that their delicious homemade chips are no longer celiac safe :( they no longer have dedicated fryer

I said I have celiac and the waiter knew right away everything to tell me. He brought me store bought chips (since the fryer is shared) and told me the tacos are all celiac safe with the exception of the vegan chorizo. It was really yummy and I felt good afterwards. Also yummy drinks.

Went here and it was amazing! I had a manager come talk to me when I told the waiter I was celiac. He explained that all the street food was gluten free, same with the tacos (except calabasas), platos de la cocina (except las vegetales), all the sides, and the desserts are GF too (minus the tropical empanadas). I’m not sure why the menu isn’t marked if there’s so many options, but the waiters are more than happy to help if you ask!

They now have GF Chips!! I've eaten twice here, soft tacos both times, and have been fine. I guess they got the memo regarding their chips. You can't have their homemade ones, but they have GF corn chips (purchased, I assume) that they can give you instead. I was very sad that the person with me didn't want guacamole - next time for sure!

Updated menu items but no disclaimer or indication on the menu. Tortillas/chips are now fried with gluten containing items! Found out after I ate them. My fault for not asking, but we were here a month ago and it was safe and the menu was unchanged.

The food was delicious and they have cute patio area right along St. Anthony Main. We had the barbacoa tacos, and the ceviche and potato appetizers! Like previous reviewers said there are only two gluten items (barley and dessert empanadas) and they have a separate fryer for the gluten items.

Almost everything on the menu is gf. When I was there, the only things that had gluten were empanadas and a main dish and tacos that had barley in them. They have a separate fryer for gf items (the empanadas are fried separately of gf things). Both the host and server were knowledgeable about celiac right away (for example, knew that the items with barley would not be safe for me). The yuca fries were great! Amazing place!

Awesome food. Had the sampler that came with GF chips and salsas, and the Birria de Res which is beef tacos with dipping sauce. Only two things on menu are not GF: the vegan chorizo tacos, and the empanadas.

Great dinner at jefe! The waitress was super helpful and knew exactly what wasn’t gluten drew. The whole menu is gf except for one item. Go go go to this establishment!!!

While most things are made with corn, I was advised by the wait staff that only the vegetarian tacos were 100% free of cross-contamination (meaning there is a share fryer). I love the atmosphere, the waitstaff, and the cocktails... just wish I could have more on the menu!
Staff is very knowledgable! 90% of their menu is gluten free. There are on 3 things on their menu that would be un-safe. Their food is so tasty!!!!!! No danger of cross-contamination! Their tortillas are all made in house all 100% corn.
