I read the reviews that this was a Celiac-safe place, but despite talking to the manager and explaining, I got very sick from an omelet. They reassured me they were only using g one griddle for the potato latkes and eggs/bacon/veggies, but the second griddle was right next to it that was used for cooking gluten items. It was very crowded with one cook, so should have left instead of risking it.

Pleasant small cafe on Rehoboth Avenue. I ordered sausage, egg, and cheese with caramelized onions on their gluten-free bun. The bun didn’t fall apart and the food was excellent. They used separate prep area and I also ordered the potato latkes. My husband ordered a regular ham, egg, and cheese served on a “fluffy egg or potato roll.” I appreciated the helpful staff who made sure all my concerns were addressed.

We had a breakfast sandwich and a BLT (not specifically on menu but they made it as a build your own). Separate prep area. GF bun for sandwiches. Good and no issues, helpful staff. Note that the sandwiches came with no sides…no chips, no fruit…just the sandwiches. My group also ordered a salad and three lemonades at it was $50 😳 Beach prices I guess!

The food here sounds great! I was told it was very good. Unfortunately, they’re having issues with staffing so there’s only one food item on the menu that they can currently make that is gluten free :( we talked to the owner and he was a really nice guy. And the smoothies are still safe! But not much else.

We had a fresh and tasty GF breakfast here.
The adults both got omelets that came with a really good GF seeded bun. Had I known how good the bun was I would have gotten a breakfast sandwich.
Our son had the potato latkes with applesauce and bacon. Big hit.
We will be returning for sure!

I called ahead as the GF menu requested (it's a pdf on their site) & my Kaisy was waiting for me when I got there. Simply delicious! Definitely a repeat for me when I'm at the beach. Next time I'm trying other things as well. While I was there, 4 more people came in and ordered GF Kaisy's, but they had to wait. Calling ahead was great. **update: sadly, when I called ahead again, I was told they were too busy to make anything gluten free unless I waited an hour+. Unfortunate, as I only called an hour after opening

We are there twice on a recent visit. Tried the Kaisy the first time and they are delicious! Second time had omelette with sausage and their gf bun. The buns are fantastic! Servers were all very aware of protocol. Highly recommend this place!

Went by a couple times throughout our trip, but only ordered food once. The other times, they were very short staffed and were clear that cross-contamination could be an issue, as they could not cook the sandwiches on a separate griddle due to how busy they were. The first time we went, however, the breakfast sandwiches tested safe on the Nima, and they were delicious! With their current staffing situation, just be cautious. They will be real with you about how likely cross-contamination is, so proceed with caution. I don’t blame them, as everyone is struggling to staff restaurants during such a busy tourism season!

Had an egg sandwich on a gluten free roll and latkes. They have a separate gluten free menu in pdf form on their website and also had items marked on their main board in the restaurant. Got a mixed response when asking about cross contamination. Overall, tasty, gluten free options.

Have had the smoked salmon sandwich (best GF bun I’ve had) the Latkes (GF) and the omelettes. Everything has been excellent. I also had a few lattes which were great. I’m not dairy free but I did see they have oat milk for those that are. I highly recommend.

Staff was great - very friendly! They asked if I wanted my food prepared on a separate grill. The bread was amazing! Would go back again!

You need to call ahead but I called right when they opened. So friendly and willing to prepare my gluten free and my boyfriends meal (not gf) at the same time. We had a great dining experience with them today. Would go again.

Staff was lovely and VERY helpful in terms of guiding me through gluten free options. They have a separate griddle that they use for gluten free options.

CALL AHEAD. It takes them time to prepare the dough and clean the grill (but the fact that they clean the grill is great). They told me to call the day before just to be sure. Very nice and helpful.
Yes
I love this place! I have Celiac and they have GF Kaisys and Latkes. Make sure to call ahead for a GF Kaisy as they take 40-50 to prepare. If you have Celiac, be sure to mention it as they take extra precaution to reduce/eliminate cross contamination.
Yes
You have to call ahead for GF Kaiseys b/c they take a long time to make but they are delicious and the latkeys are GF.
Yes
I went to the one in Lewes, DE. GF menu, lots of GF options, and very helpful staff. I felt very confident ordering and eating here with CD. Will be back again. The griddle is shared, so you have to be okay with potential cross contamination, which is always a risk in any restaurant.
Yes
The potato latkes are delicious! I am highly intolerant of gluten, not celiac, but felt fine after eating here.
While you can call ahead to order a GF Kaisey and their Latkes are GF, they DO NOT offer celiac safe breakfast sandwiches or anything cooked on their griddle. It is a shared space. The ownership is friendly and knowledgeable about celiac but don’t go here expecting anything other than latkes.
Yes
I am doing a weekly class in Lewes and I stopped here yesterday to see what I could have and if the hype was true... cute restaurant with a nice menu and a gluten free designated flat top! As I didn’t call ahead, I settled on a egg and cheese on a roll (hot and toasted) and it was delicious. Trying the latkes next week for sure! Definitely recommend. Staff extremely knowledgeable.
Yes
Went to the Rehoboth for smoothies very good. Went to the Lewes location and had breakfast. All delicious and they cook in dedicated separate area. The Kaisey is very filling. You must order it ahead as it takes time to prepare.
Yes
I called ahead for the amazing gluten free Kaisy... much like a super fluffy pancake with powdered sugar goodness in a cup and broken into delightful bight size pieces. We added eggs and an order of gluten free latkes with sour cream and a small up charge for some applesauce. My first in 20+ years! delicious. The owner was friendly, and my Godson said it reminds him of Disney... from decor, music, cleanliness, staff in costume and deliciousness. An unexpected treat! and the coffee was awesome...

I had egg & cheese on a GF roll. So good!!!Sandwich was made in the back in a dedicated gf area. Took awhile, but will order in advance next time. Def going back.
Yes
Had the GF roll for the breakfast sandwich. It was yummy!! They also made used a dedicated griddle for the eggs and breakfast meats. Definitely will try the GF Kaisy next time. Definitely call ahead to order it as they suggest.
After reading all the good reviews, I made it a point to stop in while on vacation. I attempted to call all morning to request GF but got their voicemail. I left a message that I would be coming in that day and would like GF. When we got there, the man at the register told me that they "were too busy to do any gluten free." Either you do have it or you don't. It's terrible to be told no because it's an inconvenient time.
No
They were very allergen aware with a separate gluten free griddle. They can make almost anything on the menu gluten free. The staff were very nice and very accommodating. The food was very good as well with great coffee. We will go back!!!
Yes
Charming shop with delicious (and always GF) latkes, and outstanding coffee, high praise. Apple sauce and sourcream were great. I need more confidence in the person taking my order to risk the GF version of the Kaisy (Austrian pancake). Young man was fastidious and polite but hesitant and not confident or clear. Felt fine after eating those latkes.
Good knowledge of GF considerations. My daughter liked the latkes, sausage, eggs and fruit and didn't get sick. Very cute place.
Yes
Egg sandwiches and latkes can be made gluten-free. New eatery and service was a little slow, but pretty tasty - they butter the rolls, so it's a bit rich. Make sure you request a gluten-free roll AND it to be made on a separate griddle to avoid cross contamination (they may not do this when it is super busy).

Saw a gluten free sign and stopped in. The girl behind the counter was so friendly and answered any questions or concerns. All GF orders are made to order and do take some time BUT are totally worth the wait! I don't believe they use a separate GF prep area. They are great with their customer service and it's always nice to find something different and tasty!!

Awesome! The owner's asked if my son had celiac or wheat intolerant. They made sure there was no cross contamination. And it was so very tasty!!

I would second the reviewer Melissa's thoughts. Awesome place for GF. I had affogato with their mocha chip ice cream. Yum.
Yes
The friendliest place ever! They have gluten free kaisy! Also latkes are gluten free as well as the sausage. Coffee is divine.
