It was delicious and I was pretty confident in staff about being gluten free

Wonderful food and so many Gluten sensitive choices! I had a taro tower which is essential lightly cooked green beans topped with a taro patty and then mahi-mahi. I don’t know what the sauce was but it was dang good!

I am almost sure that the food I got here was cross-contaminated. I ordered the shrimp ceviche and Fajitas, made it very clear to the waiter that I’m strictly gluten free, and four days later I’m still in pain and sick.

Didn’t get sick but limited options. Ate the nachos-didn’t get sick but it didn’t really feel like a good meal. Spent over $90 for three of us to eat lunch.

I feel as though my allergy was not taken seriously as there was definitely cross contamination that I was not aware of. I have now been sick and recovering for over 24 hours from the shrimp tacos.

I got beef tacos without queso fresca (dairy free too) they were good. It was a lot of food for me and filled me up. Never got sick. Compared to other places on the island, it was not my favorite but definitely not a bad place. It is in a nice area where there are shops all around so good idea to go here if you are planning on shopping and looking around at stores.

Terrible service. Waitress seemed very unhappy we had a child at the table. Nachos were ok, quite dry. They did have several items labeled gluten free which was nice. Still sitting waiting on my change. The rest of the party (including the child) stepped outside. Hopefully no gluten issues. We will see.

We went here for lunch. Gluten Free options were marked as such on the menu. The waitress was very accommodating and friendly. When I let her know I was celiac she said she would take care of me. I would like to award more stars for her attentiveness. Because of previous reviews I ordered the nachos. Fortunately a kind soul in the kitchen caught the order and had the waitress tell me that they were fried in soy bean oil- they were celiac and knew many of us can't tolerate soy. Turns out most all of the things on the menu include soy bean oil. I had a green salad with the special that day which was fajitas. They normally are done with soy bean oil, but they did mine with butter. I did not get terribly ill but had "rumblings" for several hours. I think this would be a fine and colorful restaurant for someone who is simply intolerant.

There are a few items tagged gluten free on their menu. I visited 9/17 and have been working on recovering ever since.

I sent my allergy card to the kitchen as always.

I ordered an item not tagged as GF from the menu - steak and eggs.

I always phrase my order as "I'm hoping to have this, but I am open to any suggestion from the chef".

I subbed out rice for the fried potatoes (leery of the oil used in the kitchen).

I am guessing that the steak and the grilled onions on top were cooked on a flat top grill, instead of in a separate pan.

I would much rather (and have been) be told that I need to choose another menu item or that they cannot serve me.

Hands down Best Kalua Nachos on the island! It was a TON of pork and me and my partner didn't order anything else and still couldn't finish it. Nachos were $12 and to add pork was $6 so probably to most affordable meal and best tasting we had the entire week.

As a side note, the Kauai Colada was decent and Jessica absolutely loved the Coco Banana

They have a few items on the menu that are GF. I had the macho nachos and my mom had the shrimp tacos. Neither of us had a reaction. Their salsa is delicious!

Had the gluten free fish tacos. The tacos were a tiny bit dry, but tasty. Wife had chicken pesto sandwich, not GF, and sauced it was one of the best sandwiches she's ever had. Service was good and fun atmosphere

The menu denotes four items as gluten free, including tacos, nachos, and salad, but the fish tacos were completely gluten free and were delicious. My wife is celiac and is very sensitive to gluten - she felt fine after eating here. *Note that we didn't ask about the deep fryer for tortilla chips.
