Amazing food, breakfast all day. prices comparable to Ihop, but with food that tastes amazing. The Gluten free FrenchToast taste better than any regular FrenchToast I have ever had. We ordered four meals and they were all 100%. Our server Aaron was very helpful and attentive and gave us great service. Thanks Aaron and Thanks Le Peep!
Le Peep is a safe place to eat for anyone with gluten issues, even the most severe. One of the owners is celiac. The restaurant has a separate kitchen (and ingredients) for gluten free. The staff is trained in cross contamination and every effort is made for a safe and enjoyable and DELICIOUS meal. The view is beautiful, the staff is great and the food... doesn't taste gluten free.... but it is! And... be sure to have their lemonade. ... it's fresh squeezed ... and amazing!!
Great menu, service was good.
I have celiac and had no issues. This place is the perfect stop. A ton of gf choices and one of the owners had celiac. They are aware of cross contamination and keep everything separate. Will def be back! Get the waffles!! The scenery is an added bonus! :)
I could have cried when I saw a 3 page gf menu!! We had breakfast and it was delicious with so many choices I didn't know handle to it. The lake front location is the icing on the cake.
I am so happy I found this place. The atmosphere is nice, up to date, and comfortable. It's right on the water. Beautiful view. I get emotional when I see such a big gluten free menu. My husband and I are on vacation and slept late, so I was overjoyed to see that they serve breakfast all day. Our server, Lisa, had ready and excellent recommendations. I ordered the Belgium Waffle Combo, and breakdown is as follows: I would travel for the waffle. Perfection. Texture, flavor, A+++ Over easy eggs were undercooked. I like a runny yoke, but runny whites are a no no. The flavor of both the turkey sausage and peasant potatoes were absolutely delicious, but both were a bit dry. I hope they can work out some of the fine tuning on the food, but those things won't stop me from coming back many times! I'll just order the waffle without the sides next time around.
Love this place!
Overall, great food. Staff is knowledgeable on gluten free, with decent sized gf menu. They are a little pricey but food, servers, and view are great.
I've given this place more then one chance to get it right. The first time I was there I had hair on my bacon. The server told me she would get me new bacon! They did bring me back a whole new plate but then didn't bring me a fork. The second time I went here. They brought out the persons food I was with first. He was done with his food by the time I got my food. Take a bite and my potatoes are stone cold. My toast is not toasted. I even took another bite of my potatoes to make sure it wasn't just that one. They don't make any of their own gluten free breads and the pieces are the smallest pieces of bread. Nothing special. I wouldn't ever go and spend 11$ on French toast for what you get. I would much rather have great food, and great service or even good then get my food paid for.
Adore this place!
what a great place.
Great selection! The burger was yummy, the bun was crumbly but that's typical. Owner is celiac and very knowledgable. Nothing beats the view! Sit by the window .
Excellent food, beautiful location! Very accommodating!
Excellent! Huge gluten free menu. Gf waffles were very soft and fluffy, other breakfast items were very good as well. It's a cute little cafe with a beautiful view.I would highly recommend eating at this wonderful little gem.
So awesome! Huge GF menu, delicious food! Waffles were so fluffy I forgot to take a pic until almost done ;-)
a gteat gf menu, the best in town with a great view and outdoor seating
Gluten free waffles, French toast, sandwiches, and burgers, & omelettes. Specialty coffees. All i have tried is delicious!! Fantastic staff! Amazing river views!!
This is the most amazing place to have breakfast! I had their eighteen Wheeler combo, French toast, eggs and bacon with their peasant potatoes, it was delicious. Their gluten free bread is homemade and is so fabulous! They have a wonderful selection and such great service! Definitely a must go!
Lunch was wondeful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The view was beautiful. Three out of the four of our party don't eat GF and they enjoyed the food. I do eat GF and the menu has many choices. I ordered the Turkey Spinach sandwich which comes on Katz's Challah bread. it was devine!
I can't say enough about this place. The gluten free waffles were amazing. The staff was awesome, total care in making the food safe. And the view...I could go on and on. You be the judge. :-)
This place is great! Gluten Free toast, waffles, pancakes, Belgian waffles, eggs, breakfast meats, omelets, fruit, potatoes, hash browns, and a wider selection of breakfast foods than you''ll find just about anyplace else. We've been going here and the Le Peep in Overland Park every few weeks for over a year, and I've never had a problem with being gluttened. Just make sure you let them know that you need your order to be gluten free.

Gluten Free toast, waffles, pancakes, Belgian waffles, eggs, breakfast meats, omelets, fruit, potatoes, hash browns, and a wider selection of breakfast foods than you''ll find just about anyplace else. We've been going here and the Le Peep in Lenexa every few weeks for over a year, and I've never had a problem with being gluttened. They only had two gluten free options as far as bread. A gluten free waffle and an English muffin. Our waitress and the cook were not knowledgable as far gluten being in spices they use. I had to ask multiple times to use a dedicated pan that was clean to not cross containing are. Worried I will end up sick.
We were diappointed that the waffle maker is used for both GF and regular waffles, but grateful the waiter explained that while we were ordering. The gf pancakes were awesome, some of the best I've ever had. The coffee was excellent. The food and service both get an A++.
This place is out of business now.
We had the gluten free menu and ordered gluten free. A second waiter brought out our order and the potatoes looked fried. We asked, and he assured us they were gluten free. Our original waiter stopped by and looked concerned, and went to check and the potatoes has been cooked in the same fryer as every other flour based fried thing. This was after my wife has eaten two potatoes and is now sick. The manager came by but was completely nonchalant. To top it all off they up charged her order $4.00 without any notice. $15.00 for pancakes, bacon and eggs with a side of gluten was not a pleasant breakfast. Try the Le Peep in Frisco. We won't be back to this one ever.
I was very excited to eat here and they have an impressive gluten free menu however the staff isn't the best. I asked for the gluten free menu and he removed all others. When I ordered I had the gluten free menu and specified the same. When my food came it didn't look gluten free and when I tasted it any one who has eaten GF bread it isn't known for being fluffy. He assured me it was but when I checked out and saw it was the uncharged GF price I knew it wasn't GF. I was sick for 3 days. It's a shame such great options and no extra time taken to ensure things are right
Only Ok - they do tout a GF waffle, but the waitress notified me it is no longer a dedicated iron as they had one break and decided to start using the GF one when busy. Poor form. The omelette and potatoes were fine and priced well, but I was quite disappointed with the lack of a waffle when it was expected.
My girlfriend has celiac and this place is perfect. The staff (so far) is very knowledgeable about gluten free vs gluten friendly. The breakfast menu is a 9 out of 10 according to my girlfriend.
I really didn't like the waffle... It was dry and old tasting. Server had no idea if the syrup was gluten free and they didn't have pure maple syrup offered. She did confirm it was a gf waffle iron so 3 stars for the effort but really not tasty.
This place is great! I love the gluten free waffle platter, just $9.99, best waffle I've ever had. Also, the staff is very friendly with good morale. You're never rushed, and it's a great alternative to waiting at the Buff for an hour for a table. Although the Buff is awesome too. Great mimosas. Never been sick and I'm very sensitive.
I've been going there for years but they just started catering to celiacs. No GF menu but they have a delicious gluten free Belgian waffle made on a dedicated GF waffle iron. Not on the menu yet you just have to ask for it. The owner is working on some gluten free crepes that would also be made in the dedicated space. The owner is very approachable and seems to be very conscientious of cross contamination issues.
One of the few places we've visited in the area with an actual gluten free menu and knowledgeable staff. Our waitress was extremely accommodating and helpful. The food was good, not exxceptional, but definitely worth re-visiting, although their GF pancakes WERE particularly good! We give the service 5 stars for knowledge and friendliness!
