Outstanding service and menu selections, including fried seafood! GF rolls also available. Staff is very knowledgeable about gluten allergies and very accommodating. This place sets the standard when it comes to GF dining!
We dined here as a family and it was great. My GF 4 year old was able to have the light chowder, french fries, a roll and a hotdog (no bun) which was perfect. Most restaurants serve very adult things on their GF menu (salmon, steak, chicken breast) which my 4 year old has no interest in, she wants the chicken nuggets and pizza her sister and the other kids get. The hot dog totally fit the bill as did the chowder. Our waiter was spot on as far as asking the chef questions about the hot dog. The GF menu is extensive and offers both kids and adults lots of options. Our non GF meals were great as well, the fried oysters were top notch.
This restaurant understands Celiac. There are many GF options and they even had GF rolls. They have fries that they make in a separate pan. Jeff, our waiter, was well educated on proper GF preparation and was very happy to accommodate us! It was a pleasure to dine here. Food was absolutely delicious!
I was in gluten free heaven! When they brought me gluten free rolls, I knew it was going to be a great meal. I also had the buffalo shrimp appetizer and I had the lobster roll. Such a treat! I wish I lived here!
I have always had a great dining experience at Legal Seafood. Their GF rolls are fantastic! The servers are knowledge about the GF choices on the menu and the manager brings the GF meal separately. They now have the GF items identified on the regular menu, so no need to ask for a separate menu anymore.
Fantastic gf menu!!!
This restaurant is amazing! I went with a group of friends and we got a table on the rooftop. I told the manager that I have celiac and everything I was served was handled in such a special way. Its all a raw bar on the rooftop, but the sushi was amazing. They did bring one dish for our group to share that wasn't gluten free and were very clear to warn me about it, but also brought me a small plate of my own food so I could eat with my friends. Service like that is rare. I would definitely eat there again!
Wow!!! I cleaned my plate for the first time in years while out to eat!!!! GF fried scallops, jasmine rice, garlic/onion cauliflower..... Delicious! Also had a "lite clam chowder" that is gf; it was good as well but scallops come first! :) GF beer as well as cider. Highly recommend. Was worth the extra $$
The BEST gluten free meal I have ever had! They can modify most of their dishes to be GF. They use chick pea breading to make any of the fried or breaded items. They have dedicated fryers for GF meals. I had the buffalo shrimp appetizer. Absolutely delicious! For dinner I had breaded sea scallops and French fries. Also very delicious. The scallops were so tender and the breading very light. They also have the most delicious, soft, GF rolls they buy from a local bakery. My husband who is not GF liked my rolls better than the regular rolls. If you're celiac and in Boston DO NOT miss this restaurant!
My favorite gf resturant. Wide selection, dedicated menu, even has gf dinner rolls
Yep, made the mistake of coming here with my boss thinking it was just like all the other Legal Seafood restaurants. If you are used to Legal's Celiac friendly service in their regular restaurants, then do not come here. I wish they had just posted something on the door to alert people with Celiac and direct us to go elsewhere. Not a good experience at all.
While they were very accommodating of both our dairy and gluten intolerances, the food was overpriced for what we got and the taste was average. It was really great to have fried calamari and fried shrimp since I never get those, but the taste was pretty dry. They also did not mention the dinner rolls-- that would have really made my hubby happy to have. All in all, safe eating but I won't be returning.
It was so good to eat out at a restaurant where they care about their seafood AND patrons with allergies! I had the first fried seafood since being diagnosed celiac. And it was excellent! The wait staff was exceptional and they sympathetically understood celiac disease! We WILL find a way to eat there again!
We enjoyed several appetizers, freshly baked gf dinner rolls, a delicious meal, and even dessert. The rolls and desserts weren't listed on their celiac menu, so I'm glad our server mentioned them.... can't remember the last time I got dinner rolls out! The food was delicious and service was great. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip.
They take great pains to keep GF food segregated and avoid cross contamination. I got engaged here, staff very helpful in making arrangements.
great food! staff very helpful and fairly knowledgeable of GF concerns. dedicated GF menu. manager specifically brought out my wife's GF meal, as noted in other reviews. they did have a GF flourless chocolate cake, more like an oversized truffle, that was pretty tasty! we definitely did not go away hungry. loved it! went to am overpriced Italian joint in the north side, and would go back to LSF way before the Italian joint!
My family was so excited to eat fried seafood out. They also served fresh from the oven gf dinner rolls that were a hit. I have additional food intolerances and they were accommodating of those as well. We tried many places in DC this week on vacation and this was the best place for me!
This is for the Logan airport Terminal C location. This location used to be pre-security and at that time they offered pretty much the whole gluten free menu that you would find at a regular Legal Sea Foods restaurant. The restaurant has now moved post-security and the gluten free menu is much more limited (although still better than pretty much any other airport restaurant). Basically, they lost the gluten free flour and dedicated fryer in the move. So lots of pan seared seafood and grilled veggies. Also of note, they are always busy and they have crammed as many seats as possible in the space. If you sit on the bench side of the table expect to have to squeeze between the tables (unless you are size zero). You may want to decide ahead of time if you want to shove the front or the back of your lower half in your neighbor's face.
they have a celiac menu listing all the g free options and wait staff were all very aware. I ordered the seafood platter that included calamari, whitefish, scallops and French fries. it was all deep fat fried and way over any person's recommended caloric intake for the day, but since I NEVER get the option for these things normally, I went for it. yum, yum, yum! it was so worth it. it comes with tartar sauce but I also asked for cocktail sauce to dip it in. good thing our vacation including lots of walking ;-) I disagree with the $$$ rating, it was very affordable, especially for the amount of food!
