They make you sign a waiver that says they are not held reasonable for any gluten reactions or allergies- this made me nervous they do not take it serious enough in the kitchen. After speaking to the cook I ordered the food gluten free and dairy free (both allergies but gluten most serious) and the food arrived COVERED in cheese. Because they served me food covered in cheese I was nervous they did not take the gluten free aspect serious enough (which is my most severe allergy) we did not eat the food and left.

Chips are made in a shared fryer and they make you *sign a book* saying they’re not liable for reactions. Hard pass.

Good food, not great. Cost us $25 for nachos and tostada meals.

Authentic Mexican food, reasonably priced meal. It’s hard for four people to eat in Hawaii without sticker shock when the bill comes, but this place managed it. I had the taquiera taco w/chicken (I’m gluten sensitive - no problems); hubby (no allergies) raved about the wet burrito.

I would not consider this as a celiac friendly restaurant. We came here for lunch, they do not have a GF menu, they also do not grill their corn tortillas on different section than flour tortillas. We asked about their fried tortilla chips, the staff told us they would first fry the corn ones and then the flour ones, so no dedicated fryer either (but some may consider it safe to eat). I would recommend not to order any items with tortillas.

Legit Mexican food on Hawaii. Great Horchata! The chipotle salsa was smokey and tasty. Perfect! We loved eating here.

For those not gluten intolerant. The burritos are the size of babies...

The portions are large and the corn tacos are Great.

Staff seemed knowledgeable of GF options and corn vs flour - although not 100% sure that tortillas were not fried in same oil as flour products. Did not have any issues with the food and it was quite good.

Didn't get sick. Always a plus. Food was good, menu was confusing on gf options - a standing board and the walk up counter.

We ate here on the recommendation of a local who knew I am GF. They are somewhat knowledgeable and the counter staff checked with the cook and clarified ingredients. They have you sign a notebook for food allergies, not sure why. There is a specific cook that prepares the GF food. I had the fish tacos and they were very good. Don't eat the chips, they fry them in the same oil as everything else. My husband had the burrito and said it was dellicious.
