Update: they no longer offer a gluten free menu and cannot guarantee protection against cross-contamination. It's unfortunate they've opted to no longer service gluten free customers since they have the best Mexican food in town.

(Dec 2013) To start with, you are handed a professional laminated gluten-free menu, not a copy-of-the-month allergen menu that you have to decipher and compare with a regular menu. The chips and salsa are gf, the chips are not contaminated with wheat in processing. There is a decent selection on the menu in each category to choose from. To help avoid accidental mix-ups in the kitchen they do things like "stacked enchiladas" instead of the traditional rolled. Great service at this location too. I've been dining at this location for five years and never once had poor service. Oh, if you like hotter salsa, just ask the server. They have some by request.

I go to the one by the old Desert Ridge mall. I get the enchilada layer with black beans plus chips and salsa. Never have a problem here. They are super helpful with my meal. It's a bit spicy so I get guacamole to help cool it down.

They have no set procedure to ensure a GF meal. I have a success with the Steak Fajita's. Other items I've gotten sick from. Good Luck!

wife and I eat here all the time, she's got celiac and is super sensitive. I can't remember a single time she got sick. she usually eats the tacos or fajitas. chips n salsa are gf

Separate GF menu, although when I ordered the fajitas and told them it was for Celiac, they came out with flour tortillas instead of corn. They were very nice and redid the dish and comped that item, but I’m not sure how safe the place is (I’m asymptomatic).

NOT SAFE!! I have celiacs and so I requested and ordered from the gluten free menu, and specifically let the waitress know I was celiac and so I have a gluten allergy. She proceeded to bring me flour tortillas. Upon inquiry she said she did bring flour and I said I can’t have flour— I have a gluten allergy which is why I ordered off the gluten free menu. She said she doesn’t know what that means and she “doesn’t know what’s in tortillas”. She then came back to the table and proceeded to tell me that I must have made the mistake of ordering my CHICKEN FAJITAS off the VEGETARIAN side of the menu, which is why she brought flour. I let her know that it was in fact from the gluten free side and even specifically said “gluten free fajitas” when I ordered, and proceeded to deny that they were available as gluten free. As if would make sense to order chicken fajitas off the vegetarian menu anyway.
