Good selection. Even went out of the way to find out for me what was in the Carmel apple.
While not anywhere near the selection of other semi-local stores (Woodman's), Mariano's does a nice job of trying to help the GF clientele. Many GF items are featured with a green "gluten free" tag underneath the price making it easy for a quick product grab. I haven't noticed any tags mistakenly placed but there are MANY GF items that *aren't* marked as well. They do also have some GF treats in the frozen bakery case. While they do a nice job of listing potential allergens (soy, dairy, wheat) on their salad bar items, I stay away for fear of cross contamination. The deli selections are expansive but again, cc issues keep me away. A good start and easy to find something I know I can trust. Oh, and the rotisserie chickens ARE GF. I'd love to see a more expansive collection of GF items in the dry goods aisles -- flours, etc are limited to small space on shelves.
