GF annotations on the menu. Lots of options. Delicious flourless chocolate cake. Friendly service, fun atmosphere.
I called ahead to ask about their gf protocols, and they were very knowledgeable. It’s the most competent exchange I’ve had with a restaurant so far. They told me when someone orders gluten free pasta, they use clean pans, utensils, and fresh water for boiling. They also warned me twice that it’s not a gluten-free environment and that “flour is everywhere” due to the pizzas.
When ordering online, for most of the pasta dishes, there is an option to switch to gf pasta for a $2 surcharge. However, navigating the menu is tricky. Items are not marked gf so it takes some effort to decode what will be safe. I didn’t want to call back to ask about meatballs or other specific foods I was considering, so I went with an order I felt confident would be gf.
I ordered gluten-free pasta with marinara and grilled chicken, and a side of sautéed broccoli, for take-out. My pasta container had a sticker on it that said “GF, not a gluten-free environment.” Total cost was $33 plus tax and tip. It was enough for two meals.
The good news is I ate it with zero issues. They didn’t gluten me. I’m giving stars for their service, skill, and honesty!
The unfortunate news is that the pasta dish wasn’t very good. The gf penne was brittle and crumbling, and it seemed like they should have added more moisture to the sauce to make up for the pasta’s dryness. The chunks of grilled chicken were tasty, but the dish was very salty, gummy, and not worth the price.
I previously enjoyed Maria’s food so I will probably try again and order something different.o

Reviews here are outdated- checked menus and contacted in June 2021, they do not have any gluten free dishes and will not make any claims to offer any because their kitchen is not a gluten free environment. They specifically call this out on their website themselves. The business is being open and honest up front.

Delicious traditional Italian. Gluten free pasta and pizza bases available, as well as other dishes. Family-friendly and helpful staff, they went out of their way to check if their pork sausages were g-free. We are returning after a very successful visit before.
