Maui Brick Oven

We ate at Maui Brick Oven 2 times on our recent trip. I found it through this app, and actually communicated via Facebook with them about their food, etc.

100% dedicated gluten free restaurant. They do offer regular gluten-containing beer, but make you drink it out of the can so they don't have to worry about washing glasses, etc. They also have gf beers.

We ordered onion rings and their ranch dip (DELICIOUS - I did tear up I was so happy), a veggie pizza, fish and chips, spaghetti with red sauce (a little spicy, but delicious), the Kalua bowl, and chicken parm between the 2 visits. The fish and chips were probably the best I have EVER had, gf or not.

Friendly, family-owned staff, who you can tell takes pride in their restaurant. They even said they can wrap up pizza in foil if you are headed to the airport for a meal later - they do it all the time. Great idea, since we all know that airport food isn't very gf friendly.

A great dining experience. My only suggestion would be more Hawaiian-flare foods.

Sign on the door last Friday (10-9-15) that Maui is now closed and a different restaurant would take its place. So very sad to see this.

I love Maui Brick Oven. This is the first place I ever had gluten free onion rings. I almost cried, they were so good. We ate here 3 times during our 5 day vacation. All of the battered food was great. As for the pizza, it was decent and I would have it again. I just found the crust a bit to herby for me. It didn't agree with my sensitive tummy. I wish I had tried it with a different sauce. Tomato-based sauces combined with herbs cam be a but much for me. Overall big recommendation. Had us dreaming about moving to Maui just for the food

Sadly went to visit on October 9 and the location has now been closed. I loved their coconut shrimp and buffalo mozzarella caprese salad.

Absolutely superb. Couldn't recommend it any more highly. The pizza crust is fantastic. The grain bowls wonderful. My 2 nonGF companions loved it too.

Oh it's sooooo good. My daughter and I are GF and my husband isn't but we were just stunned by how good everything is!

Can't wait to visit your,Maui Brick Oven. I go to Terry's on Maui, love it there. Driving thru Tennessee this summer.

I am gluten intolerant, but my husband is not. Yet he still raved about our dinner and the service. We both had the pollo bowl and shared an order of onion rings. Everything was excellent. I was giddy though since I hadn't had onion rings in years! What a treat!

Excellent! Kid-friendly! 100% gluten free, bowls, pizza, chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, onion rings and desserts.

This is some of the best pizza in the area. Absolutely delicious and now worries about getting sick. They only use fresh ingredients and their herb infused pizza crust is awesome.

I love this place for a fun, kid friendly restaurant where I know we won't get cross contamination! The staff is friendly and my kids are thrilled they can have chicken fingers and a pizza NOT at home :) we always enjoy this place!

It was so nice to eat at a restaurant Gluten Free Pizza without the worry of cross contamination!! The best gluten free pizza in town!! Even our friends who do not need gluten free enjoyed it too! Will go back and try more items!

Thrilled to find an ALL GF restaurant when traveling to Memphis! Pizza very good, offer DF option (Daiya) ordered the one with the sausage and Thai chili sauce- I found to be very spicy. Non gf diners really enjoyed pizzas. Coconut shrimp very tasty and fries were good. Was so excited to get onion rings, but they were super greasy- would skip those next time. Brownie sundae for dessert. Cute casual place, good food, completely safe!! Yay!

Maui Brick Oven is a very good restaurant. And, it happens to be dedicated GF. The only non-GF items in the place are most of the beers (GF brews include Omission and Redbridge and one or two ciders, which I don't count as brews). Between us my wife and I have had two of the rice bowls, the onion rings, the teas, and a pizza. All of it was quite good. Special mention goes to the pizza and the onion rings. The pizza had a flaky thin crust (not tough shoe leather!) and the portobello mushroom toppings were very fresh, and large. The O rings were practically a meal even split two ways, so beware of portions. The O ring batter was smoky-savory spiced, maybe with cumin and coriander? The O rings came with two sauces, one like Greek gyro sauce (very tasty) and the other plain ketchup. As a suggestion to management, you might try adding cumin or maybe horseradish to the ketchup.
