I went in but the staff was unsure and not knowledgable and told me they had gluten free bread but when I spoke to the manager he said they didn’t. I felt unsafe eating there so I left.

so many things went wrong here: 1. of the many soups on the menu, there was one available for the day, and it was only 11 am. 2. my salad was literally drenched in dressing. It should have been called balsamic dressing with bits of organic greens and beets. 3. our server hated her job and me for asking any type of questions and thrust the menu towards me, as if the menu would magically answer all of my questions about gluten. 4. the house made lemonade? what a joke, it tasted like anything but homemade.

Vegetable omelet and potatoes were good. Feta cheese was a nice change from no cheese.

The wait staff was largely unhelpful. I wouldn’t eat here if you want to feel confident about things being gluten free.

I am gluten intolerant, not Celiac.

This is my go to spot for breakfast in the neighborhood. I love their potatoes! Super tasty! There are a good amount of choices, including GF French toast, which is really good. Being able to get a side of GF toast with my egg dishes is really nice too. I prefer this spot over Yolk South Loop on weekends since Meli is much less crowded and quieter. I've never had a problem here and recommend if you are gluten intolerant.
