I got such stomach pain after eating the buckwheat pancakes. I had explained that I have celiac disease when I ordered and had been assured they were gluten free. If they were, they were contaminated.

Buckwheat pancakes were good..they added chocolate chips :) not a huge fan of the hash browns and they said they were “soy based” but they tasted like soy sauce... so I didn’t bother eating them. Fun experience and good service though.

I got mildly sick from the buckwheat pancakes but the omelette was absolutely delicious. If I was just rating the food and not my cross contamination experience, it would be five stars

While they don't have a GF menu, their waitstaff has always been very helpful in answering questions. All of the omelettes are GF except for the jambalaya omelette. Their buckwheat pancakes are GF and they'll do side portions of those with the omelettes if you ask.

Our server Chris was so helpful. He suggested the buckwheat pancakes with blueberries and pecans, and to spread some of their homemade jam. He also suggested putting half of the pancakes into a to-go container before pouring my syrup, because they are filling. It made for an awesome muffin like snack later. I also had eggs over medium with bacon, and split a side of strawberries with my husband. Super experience!

No, they don't have a GF menu and the wait staff aren't very knowledgeable. I asked if it could be confirmed with the chef that the bacon was GF, the waitress said, (snort) "Well, it can't have wheat...it is BACON!" I won't be back.

It's Magnolia, not Mongolia, AND, these guys do NOT really have a gluten free menu. You have to really fish for info about what is safe and servers usually have to run back and forth from the kitchen to ask questions. Chances are, you will be the one to educate your server on what is safe to eat, and I highly suggest you make your server write gluten free on your order. But, I have eaten a big, fluffy omelette with a side of fruit there and lived to tell about it! The gluten free pancakes here are buckwheat, and they also have grits, although when I went the server told me that they couldn't be sure if the grits were gluten free. I don't think he knew what grits were, actually.
