I wouldn’t be totally confident in items being gluten free, they do not have a GF fryer but french fries and their house made chips are labeled GF. I am also dairy/egg allergic, so I ordered their salmon with green beans and mashed potatoes (labeled with a “V” and the menu said that meant vegan) I was told the potatoes had dairy, so I paid full price for a meal delivered without one side. The food was OK, but I had low confidence they truly understood the needs of people with allergies

The menu is clearly marked with GF options and there are quite a few choices. No dedicated fryer. They have two GF deserts a flourless chocolate cake and a carrot cake both were amazing! Server was knowledgeable and could answer my questions. Has the vegetable risotto which was wonderful! They have GF buns for burgers and sandwiches.

The waiter was very knowledgeable about celiac and assured me the kitchen staff take appropriate precautions. They have gluten free, nut free, and dairy free options on their menu. They have gluten free buns for a burger or sandwich. I had the Tavern Cobb Salad which was delicious. My meal came out separately from everyone else’s. My family members had the chicken and waffles and said it was delicious! They also had the Hoecake (a George Washington favorite) as an appetizer and said it was good too! Despite asking multiple times and even speaking to the chef, my celiac daughter was terribly sick after eating here. NOT GF.

They do not accept reservations on Sunday, but the brunch is great. I had the salmon, green beans and mashed potatoes while the other people in my party had more of breakfast dishes. The manager brought out my food separately and they made sure that every step in the process was truly GF.

Restaurant on-premise of George Washington's Mount Vernon offers gluten-free menu. Ate a tasty rosemary broasted chicken and subbed asparagus instead of mashed potatoes since also dairy-free. Pretty place and fast service.
