They have a decent gluten-free menu.

I went out to Nalu with friends, we called ahead to make sure the GF options were celiac safe (they were and understood the importance). When discussing the menu items with the server, they pointed out on the GF menu which items were the safest for sensitive cases and guided how to order to ensure cross contamination isn’t a factor (ex. they gave: don’t bake the taco shells & avoid the fried foods [wings]). I landed on the edamame for ap. and fried rice for entree (I was hesitant to order ‘fried’ rice but it worked out well and was a great alternative to sushi bowls). I really enjoyed the meal and I (v. sensitive celiac and temporarily dairy free) had no issues.
Biggest recommendation is to make sure your server is aware and make sure they know how serious/ sensitive your case is.

I was hopefully because they have a seperate GF menu. I got the GF salmon poke bowl. Food was OK, nothing special. I got sooo sick a few hours after eating this. I am not sure if it was food poisoning, salmonella, or cross contamination from Gluten but I will never return.

After seeing this restaurant on this app, we decided to give it a try. I called to check on the gluten free menu. The hostess sent me the gluten free menu and assured me of its safety. When we arrived, we mentioned that two of us had celiac disease and that we needed to avoid cross contamination. We ordered nachos as an appetizer. When they were served, they looked fried and when we asked (after already asking before ordering) we were told that yes they were fried in a shared fryer. For dinner, we ordered the shrimp poke bowl and the shrimp tacos which were both on the gluten free menu. I asked if the tacos were gluten free, I was told they were soft corn tortillas. Then when the tacos were served, the shrimp was served on leaves of lettuce. When I asked, I was told that the tortillas contained both wheat and corn so they were in fact not gluten free. So instead of shrimp tacos, I had nine shrimp served on three pieces of lettuce with some coleslaw. It was delicious but very little food for an entree, not even the size of a dinner salad. The poke bowl was served with some sort of crispy bread, so we needed to send it back. There was also some confusion about whether or not the soy sauce was actually gluten free. Overall, not a good experience and not a safe place for celiacs to eat.

We had a so-so experience here. Ordered one poke bowl and two burgers. Fries are not gf so substituted rice. When the food arrived we could immediately see a French fry on the burger plate. When the burger was picked up there were many French fry crumbs underneath it. That happened to be my dinner and I only eat gf in solitary with my celiac daughter so I could eat it but if it had been her dinner it would have had to go back and I don’t know if I would trust them to remake it. Her poke bowl seemed fine.

Nancy has great energy. Their gluten free options were plentiful. Cocktails were great with GF options too. Fryer not dedicated but we were informed and ordered accordingly.
Do not visit this restaurant if you need to be gluten free!!! The wait staff does not understand the importance of being accurate when discussing food intolerances. I have not been this sick for several years. Wait staff said gluten free menu was not accurate so went and talked to chef and came back with suggestions for safe eating, they couldn’t understand what I meant by shared fryers?. So I avoided fried food an still got very sick.

They had a menu that listed items that weren’t gluten free. There were a lot of options. I had pineapple shrimp with mango salsa appetizer and split a watermelon salad. There were only 4 (not huge) shrimp for $15! 2 were excellent and they other 2 weren’t. My husband (not gf)got black bean burger and fries for $11 and said it was really good. My daughter got nice and reasonably priced poke bowl that was good.
Came here due to this website. They have no gluten-free menu. They know nothing about anything gluten-free. This is a bad use of this site. Won't be back.

The food was fresh and delicious. The wait staff was knowledgable and I felt comfortable ordering. They have a separate GF menu. I had the nachos with crab and the grilled mahi with coconut. The sweet potato salad was GF and delicious too! Highly recommended.

What a FUN place! Neat atmosphere. Reminds me of a Cheeseburger in Paradise. The GF menu was pretty large and varied. I chose the nachos appetizer as my meal and was astounded at how HUGE it was! Really tasty nachos from the oven, with REAL cheese, not just cheese sauce. We had a good experience; if I were local I'd definitely be going back!

We stumbled upon this fun restaurant! This was our first time in the area... Everything was great from the moment we walked in. There is a separate gluten free menu! They have gluten free wraps... The NaLu famous nachos were delicious. The Hawaiian salad was so yummy! My children loved all the gluten free finds.. Soft shell chicken tacos, hot dogs and corn chips! Jen our waitress was super sweet and made sure everything was gluten free for us! Definitely coming back before we head home!
